이차전지 원료 해쇄용 그라인딩 디스크 어셈블리 내 열 유동 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Flow Analysis in Grinding Disc Assembly for Disintegration of Secondary Battery Materials)

  • Sustained economic development around the world is accelerating resource depletion. Research and development of secondary batteries that can replace them is also being actively conducted. Secondary batteries are emerging as a key technology for carbon neutrality. The core of an electric vehicle is the battery (secondary battery). Therefore, in this study, the temperature change by the heat source of the hammer and the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disc of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) was repeatedly calculated and analyzed using the heat flow simulation STAR-CCM+. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disk increases, the convergence condition of the iteration increases. Under the condition that the inlet speed of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) and the heat source value of the disc hammer are the same, the disc rotation speed (rpm) and the hammer temperature are inversely proportional. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the disc increases, the hammer temperature decreases. However, since the wear rate of the secondary battery material increases due to the strong impact of the crushing rotational force, it is determined that an appropriate rpm setting is necessary. In CSM (Classifier Separator Mill), it is judged that the flow rate difference is not significantly different in the direction of the pressure outlet (Outlet 1) right above the classifier wheel with the fastest flow rate. Because the disc and hammer attachment technology is adhesive, the attachment point may deform when the temperature of the hammer rises. Therefore, it is considered necessary to develop high-performance adhesives and other adhesive technologies.

주유소 내 연료전지설비에 대한 사고피해예측 연구 (A Study on Damage Assessment for Fuel Cell Facilities in Gas Stations)

  • 연료전지는 저탄소 발전원으로 주유소 내 연료전지를 설치 시 분산에너지와 전기차 충전인프라를 확충할 수 있다. 주유소 내 연료전지 설치 시 안전성 확보를 위하여 국‧내외 주유소 및 연료전지의 사고데이터를 기반으로 사고시나리오를 도출하고 사고피해예측을 위한 정량적 위험성평가를 실시하였다. 최악의 사고시나리오가 아닌 현실적으로 발생 가능한 화재 및 폭발사고의 피해범위를 산출하고, 피해영향을 분석한 결과 주유기로부터 9.0 m, 주유 중 차량으로부터 15.5 m, 통기관으로부터 4.1 m, 연료전지의 정압기 등 가스조정장치로부터 1.1 m 이상 이격 시 사고로 인한 심각한 피해 위험을 낮출 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 주유소 내 연료전지 배치 및 사고피해를 경감할 수 있는 안전대책 수립에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

유/무기하이브리드 코팅액에 의한 Al6061-T6의 내식 특성 (Corrosion Resistance of Al6061-T6 by Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Coating Solution)

  • In this study, the corrosion resistance by salt spray was evaluated using A6061-T6 for an electric vehicle battery pack case coated with an organic/inorganic hybrid solution. The lowest curing temperature of 190 ℃ resulted in significant corrosion and pitting. Meanwhile, no corrosion was observed in the coated specimens at 210 ℃ and 230 ℃ except at 210 ℃ - 6 min and 8 min. The surface of the as-received coating specimen observed by FE-SEM exhibited streaks and dents in the rolling direction, but the coating surface was clean. On the 190 ℃ - 6 min coating specimen, which had a lot of corrosion, rolling streaks spread, and dents were caused by corrosion. The 200 ℃ - 12 min coating specimen did not show corrosion, but it showed an etched surface. In the line profile, Si, the main component of the coating solution, was detected the most, and Ti was also detected. In the coating specimens with salt spray, O increased and Si decreased, regardless of corrosion. The peeling rate by adhesion evaluation was 26 - 87% for the 190 ℃ coating specimen, 4 - 83% for the 210 ℃ coating specimen, and 94 - 100% for the 230 ℃ coating specimen. The optimal curing conditions for the coating solution used in this study were 210 ℃ for 10 min.

  • 전기차용 전력변환모듈의 성능향상 요구와 종래의 Si 전력반도체의 한계 극복을 위해 차세대 전력반도체인 wide-bandgap (WBG) 기반 전력반도체로의 전환이 가속화되고 있다. WBG 전력반도체로의 전환을 위해 전력변환모듈 패키징 소재 역시 높은 고온 내구성을 요구받고 있다. 전력변환모듈 패키징 공정 중 하나인 Ag 소결 다이접합 기술은 종래의 고온용 Pb 솔더링의 대체 기술로 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Ag 소결 다이접합 기술 관련 최신 연구동향에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 소결 다이접합 공정 조건에 따른 접합부 특성을 비교하고 Ag 소결층의 3차원 이미지 구현에 따른 다공성 Ag 소결 접합부의 물성 측정 방법론에 대해 고찰하였다. 또한 열충격 및 파워사이클 신뢰성 평가 연구동향을 분석하였다.

동일 형태의 NCM/LFP 배터리의 열폭주 현상에 대한 수치해석적 비교 연구 (Numerical Comparative Study on the Thermal Runaway of NCM/LFP Batteries of the Same Geometry)

  • In this study, the thermal runaway of NCM and LFP batteries were compared and analyzed through numerical analysis under various conditions. Comparing the thermal runaway of the NCM622 (18650) battery cell and the LFP (18650) battery cell through oven test simulation, the LFP battery did not show thermal runaway, whereas the NCM622 battery temperature increased to 710℃ in 12 minutes. To observe the thermal runaway and propagation of the prismatic LFP battery cell, the internal temperature was set at 200℃ and the oven test simulation was conducted. It was found that thermal runaway occurred at 391℃ after 47 minutes. As a result of observing thermal runaway propagation by placing five NCM622 and LFP battery cells, the thermal runaway propagation was clearly observed in the case of the NCM622 battery, but in the case of the LFP battery, thermal runaway was not observed after the first cell. From the third battery cell, it was confirmed that the temperature change was very insignificant, and through this, it is considered that the LFP battery is relatively safe compared to the NCM battery in terms of the thermal runaway propagation of the battery.

  • 전기차 보급과 고성능화가 진행됨에 따라 높은 출력을 가지는 모터의 수요가 증가하고 고용량 IPMSM 생산을 위한 고용량 착자기의 중요성 또한 증가하고 있다. 착자에 중요한 착자 전류의 최댓값과 커패시터 방전시간은 착자요크의 회로정수에 의해 결정된다. 본 논문에서는 착자기 설계를 위한 착자요크의 회로정수 설계를 위하여 MATLAB SIMULINK를 활용한 착자 시스템의 해석을 진행하고 회로정수 설계를 위한 설계 절차를 제시한다. 그 결과 착자용량 5,000[V], 15,000[uF]에 따라 착자요크 파라미터는 0.015[ohm], 0.035[mH]로 도출하였다.

  • 전세계적으로 온실가스 및 미세먼지 저감을 위한 탄소중립 정책에 따라 전기차보급이 확대될 전망이다. 전기자동창의 운용은 열악한 환경에서 사용되고 충전과 방전 등을 거듭할수록 에너지밀도가 낮아지고 내부분리막의 손상등의 이유로 건전성이 떨어짐에 따라 차량의 주행거리가 줄고, 충전 속도가 느려지는 이유로 대략 5~10년 정도 사용한 배터리들은 폐배터리로 분류하며 이 같은 이유로 배터리 화재 및 폭발 등의 위험성이 높아 지게 됩에 따라 배터리의 진단 및 SOH의 추정이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 배터리 SOH추정은 매우 중요한 요소로 현재는 배터리 충방전을 반복하면서 소요되는 시간, 온도, 전압을 측정하여 배터리의 상태를 평가하는데 정확도가 낮다. 불안정한 폐배터리를 다수의 반복적 충전과 방전을 통해 진단하는 과정에서 화재 및 폭발의 취약점을 보완하여 신뢰성이 높은 폐배터리의 상태데이터를 취득할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고 본 논문에서는 리튬이온 배터리의 SOH예측을 위해 테슬라 폐배터리를 이용한 방전 용량 측정을 바탕으로 획득한 데이터를 서포트 벡터 머신 기반으로 예측하고자 하였다.

전자빔 조사에 따른 ZnO/Cu/ZnO 박막의 전기광학적 특성 및 전기자동차용 투명 발열체 특성 (Effect of Electron Beam Irradiation on the Opto-Electrical and Transparent Heater Property of ZnO/Cu/ZnO Thin Films for the Electric Vehicle Application)

  • ZnO/Cu/ZnO (ZCZ) thin films were deposited at room temperature on a glass substrate using direct current (DC) and radio frequency (RF, 13.56 MHz) magnetron sputtering and then the effect of post-deposition electron irradiation on the structural, optical, electrical and transparent heater properties of the films were considered. ZCZ films that were electron beam irradiated at 500 eV showed an increase in the grain sizes of their ZnO(102) and (201) planes to 15.17 nm and 11.51 nm, respectively, from grain sizes of 13.50 nm and 10.60 nm observed in the as deposited films. In addition, the film's optical and electrical properties also depended on the electron irradiation energies. The highest opto-electrical performance was observed in films electron irradiated at 500 eV. In a heat radiation test, when a bias voltage of 18 V was applied to the film that had been electron irradiated at 500 eV, its steady state temperature was about 90.5 ℃. In a repetition test, it reached the steady state temperature within 60 s at all bias voltages.

제조업 외국인투자기업의 매출 경로에 근거한 한국 투자 결정 요인 분석 (An Study on FDI Determinants by Foreign-Invested Companies in the Manufacturing Sector Based on Their Sales Path)

  • According to an analysis of 560 foreign-invested companies investing in South Korea's manufacturing industry, the following three facts were found. First, the proportion of sales by manufacturing foreign-invested companies is divided into 68.5 percent of domestic sales and 31.5 percent of exports. From 68.5 percent of domestic sales, sales to Korean companies are 60.5 percent, including 37.1 percent for large companies and 23.4 percent for small and medium-sized companies, while only 8.0 percent for domestic consumers. Second, the investment sectors of manufacturing foreign-invested enterprises are 'machine and equipment manufacturing', 'chemical and chemical-chemical material manufacturing-excluding pharmaceuticals', 'electronic components, computers, video, sound and communication equipment manufacturing' and 'vehicle and trailer manufacturing'. It overlaps with electric·electronics, petro-chemicals and automobiles, which are Korea's main industries and areas of Korean global companies. Third, 31.5 percent of the sales of foreign-invested companies in the manufacturing sector are exported. Foreign-invested companies export their products to use them for their parents or affiliates or to the third countries. The analysis shows that foreign-invested companies invested in Korea for B2B transactions with Korean companies. The implications are that Korea can attract foreign investments by utilizing Korean companies' demand for intermediate goods. Foreign-invested companies can invest in Korea in order to use Korea, which has signed free trade agreements with the US, the EU and ASEAN, as an export platform.

Bonding Temperature Effects of Robust Ag Sinter Joints in Air without Pressure within 10 Minutes for Use in Power Module Packaging

  • Ag sintering technologies have received great attention as it was applied to the inverter of Tesla's electric vehicle Model III. Ag sinter bonding technology has advantages in heat dissipation design as well as high-temperature stability due to the intrinsic properties of the material, so it is useful for practical use of SiC and GaN devices. This study was carried out to understand the sinter joining temperature effect on the robust Ag sintered joints in air without pressure within 10 min. Electroplated Ag finished Cu dies (3 mm × 3 mm × 2 mm) and substrates (10 mm × 10 mm × 2 mm) were introduced, respectively, and nano Ag paste was applied as a bonding material. The sinter joining process was performed without pressure in air with the bonding temperature as a variable of 175 ℃, 200 ℃, 225 ℃, and 250 ℃. As results, the bonding temperature of 175 ℃ caused 13.21 MPa of die shear strength, and when the bonding temperature was raised to 200 ℃, the bonding strength increased by 157% to 33.99 MPa. When the bonding temperature was increased to 225 ℃, the bonding strength of 46.54 MPa increased by about 37% compared to that of 200 ℃, and even at a bonding temperature of 250 ℃, the bonding strength exceeded 50 MPa. The bonding strength of Ag sinter joints was directly influenced by changes in the necking thickness and interfacial connection ratio. In addition, developments in the morphologies of the joint interface and porous structure have a significant effect on displacement. This study is systematically discussed on the relationship between processing temperatures and bonding strength of Ag sinter joints.
