비납계 (Bi0.5Na0.5)(1-x)BaxTiO3 압전 세라믹 재료의 최적 조성 (Optimum Compositions for Piezoelectric Properties of Pb-free (Bi0.5Na0.5)(1-x)BaxTiO3 Ceramics)

  • Optimum compositions for piezoelectric properties of $(Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{(1-x)}Ba_xTiO_3$ ceramics were investigated in the range of $x=0{\sim}0.1$ covering rhombohedral to tetragonal phase regions. No impurity phases other than a perovskite phase were found and the grain size decreased with increasing x. A two-phase coexisting morphotropic phase area rather than boundary dividing rhombohedral and tetragonal phase regions appeared to exist at $x=0.05{\sim}0.08$. As for piezoelectric properties within morphotropic phase compositions, the piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) and the electromechanical coupling factor ($K_p$) showed peak values at x=0.065, 192 pC/N and 34%, respectively, indicating x=0.065 as an optimum composition for piezoelectric $(Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{(1-x)}Ba_xTiO_3$ ceramics.

First-principles studies on mechanical, electronic, magnetic and optical properties of new multiferroic members BiLaFe2O6 and Bi2FeMnO6: Originated from BiFeO3

  • Recently multiferroic materials have attract great interest for the applications on memorial, spintronic and magneto-electric sensor devices for their spontaneous magneto-electric coupling properties. Research and development of the various kinds of multiferroics are indispensable factor for a new generation multifunctional materials. In this research, mechanical, electronic, magnetic and nonlinear optical properties of La modified $BiLaFe_2O_6$ (BLFO) and Mn modified $Bi_2FeMnO_6$ (BFMO) were studied as new members of multiferroic $BiFeO_3$ (BFO) series by first-principles calculations, and compared with the pure BFO to discover the optimized properties. Our results show that BLFO and BFMO have good mechanical stability as revealed by elastic constants that satisfy the stability criteria. All these compounds exhibit anisotropic and ductile nature. The enhanced properties by La and Mn substitution, such as increased hardness, improved magnetism, decreased band gap and comparable second harmonic generation responses reveal that the new multiferroic members of BLFO and BFMO would get wider application than their BFO counterpart. Our study is expected to providing an appropriate mechanical reference data as guidance for engineering of high efficiency multifunctional devices with the BFO series.

SUPERDARN과 GREENLAND 자력계를 이용한 전리층 전기전도도의 추정 (ESTIMATION OF IONOSPHERIC CONDUCTIVITY BASED ON THE MEASUREMENTS BY SUPERDARN HF RADARS AND GREENLAND MAGNETOMETERS)

  • 전리층은 우주환경의 변화에 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 특히 전기전도도 분포에 관한 정보는 자기권-전리층 상호작용을 이해하는데 필수적이다. 이러한 요구에 부응해서 전기전도도를 구하려는 다양한 시도가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 SuperDARN(Super Dual Auroral Radar Network) 레이더망 중 Goose Bay 및 Stokkseyri 레이더에서 관측한 전기장과 Greenland의 서부해안에 설치된 지자기 관측소에서 동시에 얻은 지상 지자기 기록을 이용하여 전기전도도를 추정하였다. 또한 전리층을 흐르는 전류를 무한판상으로 가정하고 Biot-Savart 및 Ohm의 법칙을 적용하여 Hall 및 Pedersen 전기전도도를 추정하였다. 예상한대로 Hall 전기전도도는 오로라 제트전류대의 중심을 따라 상당히 강화됨을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 Pedersen 전기전도도는 광범위한 지역에 서 음의 값이 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 보완하기 위해서 지자기 변화 성분인 ${\Delta}D$에 연자기력선 전류의 효과를 고려하였다. 그 결과 이전에 음으로 나타난 지역이 상당히 감소되었다. 따라서 지상 지자기 변화 자료와 레이더에서 관측된 전기장을 이용해서 전기전도도를 구하는 경우 연자기력선 전류의 효과를 고려해야 한다.

360° 전방위 화각을 가진 Dash Camera의 EMI 대응을 위한 Board 개발 (Development of Board for EMI on Dash Camera with 360° Omnidirectional Angle)

  • 본 논문에서는 $360^{\circ}$ 전방위 화각을 가진 Dash Camera의 EMI 대응을 위한 보드 설계를 제안한다. 제안된 보드는 DM 및 CM 입력 노이즈 감소회로를 설계하고 능동 EMI 필터 결합회로를 적용하여 개발한다. DM 및 CM 입력 노이즈 감소회로 설계부분에서는 기생적 커패시턴스(CP)을 통해 입력 신호로 커플링된 DM 잡음을 얻기 위한 차동연산 증폭기 회로를 사용한다. 능동 EMI 필터 결합회로를 적용하여 설계하는 부분에서는 회로의 간략화를 위하여 EMI 소스의 노이즈를 분리하여 보상해 주기 위하여 노이즈 분리기를 설치하여 CM과 DM 능동필터를 동시에 보상한다. 제안된 EMI 대응을 위한 보드의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 공인 인정기관에서 실험한 결과, 각각의 주파수 대역에 따른 전자파 인증규격이 만족됨을 확인하였다.

  • 대형 전동기에서 영구자석을 받치는 철제 받침대의 형상은 요크와의 결합력을 결정하는 매우 중요한 요소이다. 대형 전동기에서 받침대의 형상에 따라 요크와의 결합력 차이가 있다. 이 논문에서는 이중 받침대(Double bed)와 단일 받침대(Single bed)의 결합력을 가상공극 법을 통해 계산하여 차이점과 문제점을 제시하고 단일 받침대가 결합력 향상 측면에서 우위에 있음을 보여준다. 또한 받침대의 아래에 홈(Groove) 형상을 새김으로해서 받침대와 요크 간의 결합력이 향상됨을 보인다

Analysis of Distance between ATS and ATP Antenna for Normal Operation in Combined On-board Signal System

  • Railroad signaling systems are to control intervals and routes of trains. There are ATS, ATP, ATO and ATC system. Trains are operated in the section which is met on the signaling system because various signaling systems are used in Korea. Hence, trains are not operated in the section which is used in the other signaling system. To solve this problem, recently combined on-board system has been developed. The combined on-board system designed by doubling the ATS, ATP and ATC system to ensure the safety of system. The inductance of antenna is change and in return the resonance frequency of antenna is varied by the electromagnetic induction. Therefore, the information signal is not received exactly in the combined on-board system and in return accidents between trains occur. In this paper, electric model of the combined on-board system for considering the ATS and ATP antenna is presented. Moreover, the mutual inductance including the distance between the ATS and ATP antenna is calculated. As a result of the frequency response of the antennas, the mutual inductance met on operation range of resonance frequency is defined.

  • In order to design the Linear DC Motor (LDM) with improved characteristics, transient and steady state analysis are required. furthermore, 3D analysis is also needed to analyze the precise characteristics like thrust, time harmonics. This paper deals with the transient and dynamic characteristic analysis of LDM by coupling of external circuit and motion equation using 3D Equivalent Magnetic Circuit Network Method (EMCN). For the three dimensional analysis of electric machine, EMCN is very effective method that ensures high accuracy similar to FEM and short computation time. Also, The modeling by EMCN easily allows the mover to move with respect to the stater at each time step, and the spatial moving step is determined by the solution of the mechanical motion equation and the computed electromagnetic thrust The results are compared with experimental ones to clarify the usefulness and verify the accuracy of the Proposed method.

Mathematical Modeling and Control for A Single Winding Bearingless Flywheel Motor in Electric/Suspension Mode

  • With the increase of the production of energy from renewable, it becomes important to look at techniques to store this energy. Therefore, a single winding bearingless flywheel motor (SWBFM) specially for flywheel energy storage system is introduced. For the control system of SWBFM, coupling between the torque and the suspension subsystems exists inevitably. It is necessary to build a reasonable radial force mathematical model to precisely control SWBFM. However, SWBFM has twelve independently controlled windings which leads to high-order matrix transformation and complex differential calculation in the process of mathematical modeling based on virtual displacement method. In this frame, a Maxwell tensor modeling method which is no need the detailed derivation and complex theoretical computation is present. Moreover, it possesses advantages of universality, accuracy, and directness. The fringing magnetic path is improved from straight and circular lines to elliptical line and the rationality of elliptical line is verified by virtual displacement theory according to electromagnetic torque characteristics. A correction function is taken to increase the model accuracy based on finite element analysis. Simulation and experimental results show that the control system of SWBFM with radial force mathematical model based on Maxwell tensor method is feasible and has high precision.

EMC Safety Margin Verification for GEO-KOMPSAT Pyrotechnic Systems

  • Pyrotechnic initiators provide a source of pyrotechnic energy used to initiate a variety of space mechanisms. Pyrotechnic systems build in electromagnetic environment that may lead to critical or catastrophic hazards. Special precautions are need to prevent a pulse large enough to trigger the initiator from appearing in the pyrotechnic firing circuits at any but the desired time. The EMC verification shall be shown by analysis or test that the pyrotechnic systems meets the requirements of inadvertent activation. The MIL-STD-1576 and two range safeties, AFSPC and CSG, require the safety margin for electromagnetic potential hazards to pyrotechnic systems to a level at least 20 dB below the maximum no-fire power of the EED. The PC23 is equivalent to NASA standard initiator and the 1EPWH100 squib is ESA standard initiator. This paper verifies the two safety margins for electromagnetic potential hazards. The first is verified by analyzing against a RF power. The second is verified by testing against a DC current. The EMC safety margin requirement against RF power has been demonstrated through the electric field coupling analysis in differential mode with 21 dB both PC23 and 1EPWH100, and in common mode with 58 dB for PC23 and 48 dB for 1EPWH100 against the maximum no-fire power of the EED. Also, the EMC safety margin requirement against DC current has been demonstrated through the electrical isolation test for the pyrotechnic firing circuits with greater than 20 dB below the maximum no-fire current of the EED.

결합된 자기공명을 통한 무선에너지 전력 전송 시스템의 회로 해석 (Circuit Model Based Analysis of a Wireless Energy Transfer System via Coupled Magnetic Resonances)

  • 자기공명을 이용한 무선 전력 전송 시스템의 등가회로 모델이 제시되었고, 이를 통한 설계기법이 제안되었다. 두개의 코일로 구성된 간단한 트랜스포머의 등가회로를 확장하는 방법으로 본 시스템의 노드 방정식을 세웠고, 이로부터 효율을 높이기 위한 최적의 코일간 거리를 해석하였다. 손실이 있는 경우의 주파수 특성을 계산하기 위해, 상용 설계 시뮬레이터에 등가회로 모델을 심었다. 실제 시스템의 모델 파라미터를 추출하여 시뮬레이션 결과와 측정결과를 비교하였다. 이 해석으로부터, 자기공명 방식의 무선 전력 전송 시스템이 수 미터의 거리까지 높은 효율을 보일 수 있음을 알 수 있었고, 이때 임피던스 정합이 매우 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 개발된 모델을 통해 공진 코일이 더 많이 있는 경우와 같은, 유사한 시스템의 특성을 예측할 수 있다.
