낙상경험 여성노인의 하지 분절 각도와 근전도 차이 (Differences in Angle of the Lower Extremities and Electromyography of Elderly Women Experienced a Fall)

  • 본 연구는 낙상을 경험한 여성노인 20명을 각각 10명씩 연령으로 집단을 구분하고 보행 시 하지관절의 협응 능력을 분석하여 운동과학적인 기초자료를 제시하고, 불안정적인 측면의 요소에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 보행 시 하지관절의 균형에 대한 기전과 차이를 동작분석과 근전도를 이용하여 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 보행 시 고관절의 움직임에서 연령증가로 인해 충분하지 못한 지지역할로 보행자세가 저하되어 안정적 이지 못한 패턴을 보였다. 둘째, 무릎관절의 움직임에서 좌우측의 보행패턴이 상이하게 이루어지는 경향을 나타내었다. 셋째, 발목관절의 움직임에서 연령증가와 함께 활보패턴이 비정상적인 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 보행 시 하지 주요근육의 활성정도에 대해 대퇴직근과 대퇴이두근은 무릎의 굴곡을 막기 위해 근수축 활성이 증가되어 전진하는 전기적 특성을 보였고, 전경골근과 내측비복근은 이동 시 높은 전기적 수요를 나타내어 저측굴곡의 비율을 줄여 보행하는 특성을 나타내었다.

신발의 안정성에 따른 여성노인과 여대생의 균형능력 변화 (Changes of Balance Ability according to the Stability of Shoes in Elderly Woman and Female University Student)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of static and dynamic balance control ability according to the stability of shoes in elderly woman and female university student. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Six elderly women and seven female university students were recruited for this study. The subject's static and dynamic balance were evaluated while wearing two different types of shoes (comfortable running shoe and masai walking shoe). The BT4 system was used to measure the static (postural sway area and velocity) and dynamic balance (limit of stability on forward, backward and left and right side). The measurement of static and dynamic balance control ability was performed in standing posture wearing comfortable running shoes and masai walking shoes. Results: In the static balance control ability, both female university students and elderly women showed significant increase in postural sway area and velocity when wearing unstable shoes (p<0.05) In addition, in the dynamic balance control ability, both female university students and elderly women showed significant decrease in limit of stability on forward and backward when wearing unstable shoes (p<0.05). Conclusion: In selecting shoes for the elderly, the stability of shoe should be considered for prevention of falls.

걷기운동이 1기 고혈압을 가진 비만 노인 여성의 신체조성, 인슐린 저항성 및 혈압에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Walking Exercise Intervention on Body Composition, Insulin Resistance, and Blood Pressure in Elderly Obese Women with Stage 1 Hypertension)

  • 폐경 후 호르몬의 변화는 체지방의 증가로 비만을 야기하며, 비만은 인슐린 저항성 및 혈압의 증가에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 12주간 걷기운동이 1기 고혈압을 가진 비만 노인 여성의 신체조성, 인슐린 저항성 및 혈압에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 1기 고혈압을 가진 비만 노인 여성 초 20명을 대상으로 운동군 10명, 대조군 10명으로 구분하여 걷기운동을 한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 걷기운동군에서 체지방율, 인슐린 저항성 및 SBP가 유의하게 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 걷기운동이 체지방율, 인슐린 저항성 및 혈압의 개선에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 고혈압을 가진 노인 비만 여성들의 심혈관질환 및 대사성 질환의 개선 및 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

여성 노인에서 운동 수행능력과 골밀도의 관계 (Association Between Physical Performance and Bone Mineral Density in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical performance on bone mineral density (BMD) in elderly women. Methods: Twenty-one elderly women participated in this study. After testing functional ambulation category (FAC), they were classified into two groups: dependent walking group, those who could not walk independently (FAC 0~2, n=11) and independent walking group those who could walk independently (FAC 3~5, n=10). Outcome measures were: general characteristics, physical performance and BMD. General characteristics included age, body mass index (BMI) and waist-hip ratio. Physical performance included the chair rise test (CRT) and the modified fall efficacy scale (MFES). BMD was represented in the osteoporosis index (OI), T-score and Z-score. BMD was evaluated in calcaneal bone, using OsteoPro. The data was analyzed using SPSS 12.0 software and the Mann-Whitney U test and the Spearman correlation. Results: Age, BMI and waist hip ratio, which all affect BMD, showed no significant differences between groups (p>0.05). But the FAC 3~5 group showed a significantly higher score for CRT, MFES and T-score, compared with the FAC 0~2 group (p<0.05). The T-score was correlated with CRT and MFES scores (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is a positive relationship between physical performance and BMD. Therefore, improved physical performance can have a beneficial effect by reducing osteoporosis in elderly women, considering a positive relationship between physical performance and BMD.

비만 여성노인을 위한 유산소 운동프로그램의 적용 효과 (Effects of Aerobic Exercise Program for Obese Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: To examine the effects of the aerobic exercise program on changing the body composition, blood lipids and self-esteem of the obese elderly women. Method: A total of 26 obese elderly women(%body fat: over 30%) have been selected for this research[Experimental Group(EG):13, Control Group(CG):13). Walking at a 50% intensity was administered 4 days a week for 14 weeks. The data was analyzed using the SPSS program. Result: The level of % body fat, TC, LDL-C, and %TC/HDL-C in EG was significantly lower than those of the CG after 14 weeks. In addition, the level of HDL-C and self-esteem in EG was significantly higher than those of the CG after 14 weeks. However, TG, body weight between groups didn't appear significant at the end of 14 weeks. Conclusion: The results showed that the aerobic exercise program was effective in changing body composition, blood lipids and self-esteem of the obese elderly women.

근력강화 운동프로그램이 슬관절 전치환술 여성 노인환자의 통증, 피로, 신체적 기능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Muscle Strengthening Exercise Program on Pain, Fatigue, Physical Function in Elderly Women with Total Knee Arthroplasty)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the effects for 4-weeks muscle strengthening exercise program on pain, fatigue, and physical function(muscle strength of leg, walking competence, balance, flexibility of patella) in elderly women with total knee arthroplasty(TKA). Method: Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, 30 TKA patients consisted of the experimental group (n=15) and control group (n=15). The experimental group participated in the muscle strengthening exercise program, twice a day for 4 weeks. Data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 18.0 program, using repeated measure ANOVA. Result: As time goes by, There were significant differences in muscle strength of leg (F=6.60, p<.001), walking competence(F=7.15, p<.001), and balance(F=17.55, p<.001) between the experimental and the control groups. Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed the positive effects of muscle strengthening exercise program in elderly women with TKA.

12주간 복합운동이 여성 노인의 족저압력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of 12-Week Complex Training Program on Foot-Pressure Patterns of the Elderly Women)

  • 이 연구는 12주간 복합운동이 여성 노인의 보행동작 시 발의 압력분포에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 규칙적으로 운동에 참여하지 않는 65세 이상의 노인여성 15명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구대상에게 보행속도 2.4km/h로 직선보행동작과 $45^{\circ}$ 방향전환보행동작을 실시하게 한 후 보행 시 족저압력분포를 측정한 후 평균 족저압력과 최대 족저압력을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 12주간의 복합운동이 직선보행동작과 $45^{\circ}$ 방향전환 보행동작 시 평균 족저압력을 유의하게 감소시켜 효과적인 보행동작을 수행하는데 도움을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 12주간의 복합운동이 직선보행동작과 $45^{\circ}$ 방향전환 보행동작 시 최대 족저압력을 유의하게 감소시켜 효과적인 보행동작을 수행할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 12주 복합운동 전 후의 족저압력분포와 압력중심 이동곡선의 경로 분석결과 복합운동 전보다 복합운동 후의 족저압력분포가 보다 폭넓게 낮은 족저압력분포를 나타낸 것으로 관찰되었으며, 압력중심 이동곡선도 복합운동 전보다 복합운동 후 안정적인 곡선을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 이 연구는 여성 농촌노인을 대상으로 레크리에이션 복합운동 프로그램을 적용하여 체력을 향상시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구 대상자는 규칙적으로 운동을 하지 않는 경기도 지역 Y시에 소재한 경로당 75세 이상의 여성 노인 20명을 대상으로 하였으며, 대상자의 연령은 75세 ~ 88세 범위(M=80.75, SD=3.22)였다. 레크리에이션 복합운동 프로그램은 1회 50분, 주 3회, 8주간 실시하였다. 연구결과 악력, 의자 앉았다 일어서기, 2.45m 돌아오기, 눈뜨고 한발서기, 앉아서 윗몸 앞으로 굽히기, 4.6m속보에서 유의하게 향상되었다. 따라서 레크리에이션 복합운동 프로그램이 여성 농촌노인의 체력을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 생각된다.

The Effect of Lumbar Muscle Strengthening Exercise Types on Balance and Walking Ability of Elderly

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of stabilization, resistance exercise, and combined exercise for lumbar on balance and walking ability of elderly. This study selected 22 subjects of over 65 years old elderly women who satisfy the study condition from A, B and C Senior Citizen's Center, in Daegu. The subjects were divided into groups; 7 for resistance exercise group, 8 for stabilization exercise group, and 7 for combined exercise group(resistance and stabilization exercise). The exercises were conducted for 60min a day, three times a week for 12 weeks. Balance and walking ability were checked before the exercise, 6 weeks later, and 12 weeks later. First, all lumbar muscle strengthening exercises were effective for static balance which changed according to exercising period. In dynamic balance, the resistance exercise group showed significant improvement in sit to stand. Stabilization exercise group showed significant improvement in all factors. The combined exercise group showed significant improvement in sit to stand and timed up and go. There was no difference between the exercise types. Second, the resistance exercise group showed significant change in Cadence which changed according to exercising period. The combined exercise group showed significant improvement in all factors. Between the exercise types, combined exercise was a bit more effective than resistance exercise. According to the result of 12 weeks of lumbar muscle exercise, combined exercise is considered to be the most effective exercise to prevent fall as it helps balance and walking ability slightly more than other exercises. Therefore, this study can understand the risk factors for fall accidents that frequently occur among elderly and adopt the combined exercise to prevent fall which in turn will prevent secondary problems occur from fall accidents and improve quality of life of elderly.

Effects of a 12-week Combined Exercise Program on Gait Parameters in Elderly Women with Osteoarthritis

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a 12-week combined exercise program on gait parameters in elderly women with osteoarthritis. Method: The subjects of this study were 11 elderly women (age: $67.09{\pm}2.47$, height: $157.35{\pm}4.30cm$, weight: $62.49{\pm}6.36kg$) with knee osteoarthritis. The combined exercise program of this study was divided into aerobic exercise and lower extremity strengthening exercises. The exercises were performed for 60 minutes per session, three times a week, for a total of 12 weeks. The maximum joint moments of the hip, knee, and ankle joints with walking were obtained with 8-3D cameras (MX-T20, Vicon, USA) and 2-force plate (AMTI OR6-7-400, AMTI, USA). SPSS Windows version 23.0 was used for statistical analysis. A paired t-test was used for pre-post comparison. An alpha level of .05 was utilized in all tests. Results: The maximum extension moment was significantly higher in the hip joint after P1 on the X axis. The maximum joint moment of P3 in extension was statistically significantly lower after intervention. On the Z axis, the maximum joint moment was significantly lower after the exercise intervention at P3. There was a statistically significant increase in the extension moment of the left and right knee joints in the X axis after exercise intervention. In the right ankle joint, P1 (plantar flexion moment) showed a statistically significant high moment after exercise intervention. Conclusion: These results suggest that combined exercise, including lower limb and aerobic exercise, may have a positive effect on mobility and walking moments in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee.
