The aging of the population has a fundamental impact on the national economy, including decline in productive population, atrophy of available funds, slowdown of technological innovation, slowdown of economic growth, and decrease in vitality of society as a whole. Increase of elderly population would lead to increase in elderly welfare consumers, which would also lead to increase the demand for elderly welfare services. However, due to the continuation of the low birth rate, there is a great shortage of human resources who can handle this. In such a situation, the main goal of the elderly welfare system in the future should aim to actively try to design effective policies, prepare systems, and implement services for the problems of the aged society, and to find ways to expand the finances, manpower, methods, and facilities necessary for the welfare of the elderly. Elderly welfare services in Korea have been changed and developed in accordance with socioeconomic changes such as industrialization and urbanization. This study examines the changes in elderly welfare services in Korea by the flow of times and presents a method which utilizes artificial intelligence and Internet of Things in services for the elderly welfare consumers to improve both quality and efficiency.

Offer of medical treatment service for recovery or preservation of physical spiritual function of elderly people by sudden population graying developing is essential. Therefore, according to increase of elderly's medical treatment demand, medical treatment service request is augmented. Number of medical treatment service utilization wishes to grope medical treatment service support way for elderly residing cloth elevation laying stress on elderly's Aging in Place in increase trend in this research. If decide, is as following : First, national hospital and public health center were concentrated most on Seoul and kyonggi, and there were many hospitals to south of a river nine, Songpagu, Seochogu, and public health center was expose that is one by one to each nine. Second, in the case of Seoul, elderly population ratio was expose that comparatively high Yeongdeungpo, Chongno, Yongsan, west passage nine is few hospital number relatively in elderly's residential area. Third, need that establish elderly full text clinic on part of general hospital or university hospital equipment. Fourth, must do so that can use access as is easy little more in local community to all elderly who need medical treatment service of visit nursing, visit medical examination and treatment etc.. that consist in present public health center.

In the 21st Century, our society is facing decrease of general population and beginning of aging society due to low birth rate, and such issues are increasing the elderly population. Especially in Korea, the elderly population exceeded 7% of the total population in 2000, making its way to the aging society and the elderly population will increase up to 14% by 2019, becoming the true aging society. Unlike other countries, aging in Korea is happening very fast and this requires the society's preparation and plans to deal with the problem. This study was started with the problem that the welfare centers for elderly people in Gwangju do not have the space plan adequate for the regional characteristics and users' demands. Therefore, this study performed an investigation and analysis on service programs, management, and space formation of S welfare centers for elderly people in Gwangju. This study produced a figure after interviews with social welfare workers and surveys. And then this study investigated size and formation of space for the service programs in each welfare center This study showed the current status of welfare centers for elderly people and difference in size and formation of space related to the service programs of the region. Therefore, this study was done to provide the basic data for the space formation of new welfare centers.

Population of senior citizens in Korea has been on the increase rapidly through decrease in population by falling birth rate and extension the average life span by development of medical technology and improving people's standard of living. As the booming population of senior citizens, it has appeared to problems of the elderly such as protection, health and supporting and welfare facilities for the elderly have increased there but it leaves something to be desired at plan and improvement of qualitative environment which the elderly's living space. It attaches importance to valuate about nursing homes such as management, quality of service, manufacture of physical environment and so on, so it is required to consider the elderly's emotion on environmental valuation. Healing environment that is a important fact of indoor environment operates powerfully upon the nursing homes as well as general medical facilities. It needs to healing environment for the elderly's physical health and mental stable life, we should know importance of healing environment that affects the elderly's health and life. The elderly have experienced physical, mental, and social changes with advancing years. The people who use the nursing homes are the elderly. We should find fact of healing environment as the elderly's characteristics and have to find healing environment that gives aid to the elderly's health in the nursing homes. In care for the elderly is not house care, it has focused on the elderly's health for improving their life and leading comfortable life.

Korean population patters has become so called aged society by this July through the aged composed over 7% in whole population. It is worldly concern how can increase elderly people’s life satisfaction by providing homelike elderly housing facilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning of home, how to express the homelike characteristics into physical design and identify their housing satisfaction. The results were discussed and design ideas were suggested.

Purpose - With rapid population aging in Korea, changes in the population structure will result in a rise in the fiscal burden. This paper investigates the effects of population aging on fiscal spending based on Korea's province data and country panel data from the OECD. Research design, data, and methodology - We use province-level fiscal data from Local Finance Integrated Open System and the Korean Statistical Information Service and also collect country panel data from the OECD. To investigate the relationship between population aging and fiscal expenditures, our analysis uses the fixed effects model. Results - The empirical analysis based on Korean local finance and country panel data show that population aging has a positive impact on social welfare expenditures and it also has a positive impact on spending related to children and the elderly, implying that population aging may lead to an increase in fiscal spending via an increase in social welfare expenditures and spending related to children and the elderly. Conclusion - These empirical results suggest that countries like Korea that expect to experience rapid population aging need to pay more attention to prepare for the expected increase in age-related spending in the near future.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effect of employment of elderly over 65 years on elderly depression using the "Nation Elderly Survey 2014". Methods: The subjects were 10,451 elderly aged 65 or older who were selected from 16 cities and provinces via multilevel stratified sampling method. In an effort to represent well the nation's elderly population, composite sample analysis method was used for the study, and a hierarchical logistic regression analysis was performed to identify those factors affecting the depression among the elderly population. Results: The factors affecting the depression were education level, household income, Perceived health status, smoking, drinking, physical activity, body mass index and employment status. It was found that the unemployed persons were 1.68 times more likely to be depressed than those who remain employed. Conclusion: Where the average life expectancy is getting longer and the poverty rate of elderly is high, employment activities of the elderly are of great significance in terms of ensuring economic stability as well as in lowering medical expenses through reduction of depression. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the employment rates of the elderly for economic, social and healthcare perspectives.

Purpose: Multimorbidity is defined as the coexistence of multiple chronic diseases within a person. This study explores the burden of multimorbidity in the working population, focusing on the recent increase in elderly workers in Korea. Methods: We summarized past empirical or theoretical literature. Results: Previous literature shows that about 80% of the elderly are multimorbid, and more than half of people with chronic disease have two or more chronic conditions. Multimorbidity is a common phenomenon in the elderly working population. However, little is known about its prevalence, the factors related to its unequal distribution among workers, and its effects on health outcome measures such as mortality, medical use, and employment decisions. Conclusion: This study asks researchers to focus on a subgroup analysis employing data on the working population. Health professionals need to develop clinical guidelines for multimorbid patients. As multimorbidity is a major health concern in the working elderly, prevention and control should be promoted in the workplace.

우리나라는 인적자본을 바탕으로 경제성장과 민주주의를 동시에 성취한 국가이다. 하지만 고령화로 인해 인적자본인 노동자도 고령화 되고 있다. 이러한 고령화는 우리나라 경제, 사회, 문화에 이르기 까지 영향을 미치고 있다. 장기 지속적인 취업자 수 증가와 노인들의 경비업에 대한 선호도등에 의해민간경비 노동시장에서 고령자들이 차지하는 비율은 지속적으로 증가할 것으로 보인다. 이러한 노동시장의 변화로 여러 가지 문제점들이 야기 될 것이다. 법 제도 적인 문제, 노동능력의 변화, 범죄의 증가 등이다. 이러한 잠재적인 문제점들을 방지하기 위해서는, 먼저 법 제도적으로 고령자 민간경비원의 최대근무 시간의 한계를 정하고 휴게시간을 보장해야한다. 그리고 고령자들의 급격히 저하되는 체력적 노동능력을 보완하기 위해 업무에 맞게 체계화된 교육을 통하여 노동능력의 저하를 줄여야 한다. 마지막으로 범죄의 증가는 직무교육시간을 늘리고 범죄사례를 통해 경각심을 일깨워 줄 수 있는 교육 내용을 통해 범죄를 줄이도록 해야 한다.

퇴행성관절염인 골관절염은 많은 노인들이 겪는 질병이다. 골관절염은 노인들의 삶의 질을 크게 저해한다. 우리나라의 경우 노인인구가 급속도로 증가하였기 때문에 노인의 골관절염 문제는 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 노인 골관절염의 위험인자를 다각적으로 밝히고, 나아가 스트레스와 같은 부정적인 감정요인과 골관절염 간의 관계에 대해 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 분석결과, 인구통계학적 위험요인과 신체계측 및 생화학적 요인, 건강행태에 따른 노인 골관절염의 유병관계를 입증하였다. 특히, 부정적 감정요소인 우울증이나 스트레스가 노인성 골관절염 유병율의 주요한 요인임을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 노인들의 골관절염 치료는 우울증과 스트레스와 같은 정서적 측면을 고려한 병행치료가 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.
