The mechanical characteristics of materials are very essential in structural analysis for the accuracy of structural calculations. The estimation modulus of elasticity of concrete ($E_c$), one of the most important mechanical characteristics, is a very complex area in terms of analytical models. Many attempts have been made to model the modulus of elasticity through the use of experimental data. In this study, the neuro-fuzzy (NF) technique was investigated in estimating modulus of elasticity of concrete and a new simple NF model by implementing a different NF system approach was proposed. A large experimental database was used during the development stage. Then, NF model results were compared with various experimental data and results from several models available in related research literature. Several statistic measuring parameters were used to evaluate the performance of the NF model comparing to other models. Consequently, it has been observed that NF technique can be successfully used in estimating modulus of elasticity of concrete. It was also discovered that NF model results correlated strongly with experimental data and indicated more reliable outcomes in comparison to the other models.

본 연구는 중국 핸드폰 시장에서 특정 제품사양 중 색상변화와 그 제품의 수요변화와의 관계를 가격탄력성으로 실증 분석한 것이다. 기존 가격탄력성 연구의 분석단위는 제품 카테고리이거나 제품카테고리 내 SBU 를 주로 측정한 반면, 이 연구의 가격탄력성 분석단위는 체험마케팅, 미학마케팅, 인지심리학의 연구 대상인 색상에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구의 데이터는 중국 최대 B2C 사이트에 입점한 대리상이 다국적 기업의 핸드폰을 판매한 실적자료를 바탕으로 하였다. 연구결과를 보면, 첫째, 6 개 색상의 가격탄력성이 모두 절대 값 1 보다 커서 가격 변화에 수요가 탄력적으로 반응하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 색상 간 가격 탄력성의 차이가 발생하였다. 동일한 가격인하 폭 속에서 가장 적은 판매량 증가를 보인 색은 아로마화이트인 반면에, 가장 많은 판매량 증가를 보인 색은 다이아몬드색이였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해, 중국에서 핸드폰 판매 시 가격 할인인하 폭이나 인상폭을 색상에 따라 다르게 하거나, 기업에서 핸드폰 생산량을 색상에 따라 다르게 준비하여 판매하는 것이 더 많은 이익을 창출할 수 있게 됨을 알 수 있었다. 학술적으로는 중국의 핸드폰 제품 카테고리에 색상에 따른 선호 차이와 색상에 따른 가격탄력성이 다름을 파악함으로써 가격탄력성의 분석 단위의 미시화 및 개념 확장이라는 학술적 공헌이 있었다.

The static and dynamic stability analysis of air-lubriceted tilting pad journal bearing which considers tilting effect of each pad and preload but neglects pad inertia were performed. And these characteristic analysis were performed with elasticity effect too. A direct numerical method is used in calculating the static characteristics such as load carrying capacity, firction force and perturbation method is used for calculation of dynamic characteristics. The stability analysis was performed with the variation of bearing number, eccentricity ratio and attitude angle considering pad elasticity effect.

Vertical reinforcement of soft soils using the deep mixing method has received increasing applications. In this study, the theory of elasticity and plasticity including the upper bound theorem of limit analysis were used to derive the equations for obtaining composite elastic properties and shear strength parameters. The developed equations were validated using the finite element computer program SAGE CRISP. The analysis involved 4 different cases-two different type of soil and replacement ratios. Tile results of the analysis show that the proposed equations could determine the properties of composite material for practical applications.

This study was performed to find out the regression function to calculate the modulus of elasticity of concrete mixed by river coarse aggregate. The distribution of the group of core strength made a normal curve and the effect factor in the modulus of elasticity was 0.97 at the concrete compounded by river coarse aggregate.

In this paper, we derive a closed-form formula of a second-order approximation for a European corrected option price under stochastic elasticity of variance model mentioned in Kim et al. (2014) [1] [J.-H. Kim, J Lee, S.-P. Zhu, S.-H. Yu, A multiscale correction to the Black-Scholes formula, Appl. Stoch. Model. Bus. 30 (2014)]. To find the explicit-form correction to the option price, we use Mellin transform approaches.

The main aim of this paper is to investigate the bending of Euler-Bernouilli nano-beams made of bi-directional functionally graded materials (BDFGMs) using Eringen's non-local elasticity theory in the integral form with compare the differential form. To the best of the researchers' knowledge, in the literature, there is no study carried out into integral form of Eringen's non-local elasticity theory for bending analysis of BDFGM Euler-Bernoulli nano-beams with arbitrary functions. Material properties of nano-beam are assumed to change along the thickness and length directions according to arbitrary function. The approximate analytical solutions to the bending analysis of the BDFG nano-beam are derived by using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The differential form of Eringen's non-local elasticity theory reveals with increasing size effect parameter, the flexibility of the nano-beam decreases, that this is unreasonable. This problem has been resolved in the integral form of the Eringen's model. For all boundary conditions, it is clearly seen that the integral form of Eringen's model predicts the softening effect of the non-local parameter as expected. Finally, the effects of changes of some important parameters such as material length scale, BDFG index on the values of deflection of nano-beam are studied.

Clothing consumption expenditure (UX) data of Korean consumers during the period of 1965 to 1993 were analyzed by time series analysis technique. According to the results of regression analysis, current income and UX of the year before showed most significant influences on the current UX. This means that the absolute and permanent income hypotheses can be accepted in case of clothing expenditures. However the effect of income decreased as the economy developed. The relative price of clothing had weak or no influence on clothing expenditures. It was also found out that CSX of the year before, the change of income, relative price of clothing ware the factors that affected clothing expenditures. From the estimation of Houthakker-Taylor state adjustment model, a negative stock coefficient was obtained. That is, clothing is subject to an inventor effect and Korean consumers regard clothing as one of the durable goods. To define whether clothing is a "luxury" or a "necessity", income and relative price elasticity of clothing expenditures were estimated. Income elasticity of clothing is slightly below 1.0 in case of national aggregate expenditures, and slightly above 1.0 in case of urban consumers' expenditures. Income elasticity has declined over time. Meanwhile the coefficient of price elasticity is not significant, indicating that the relative price of clothing have little connection with clothing expenditure.lothing expenditure.

In this study, we investigate the welfare effect of mandatory prescription(MP) in Korea. An immediate effect of MP is the increase in the implicit price of prescribed medicine, which could be obtained easily from drug stores before MP. This will lower the quantity demanded. which will in turn reduce the abuse of drugs. The key to the cost-benefit analysis of MP, therefore, should be focused on this point; price increase in the cost side and quantity decrease in the benefit side. Since we do not have as much information as needed for the analysis, however, we made strong assumptions for the clarity of numbers; the severity of moral hazard of medical doctors related to the sales of hospital drugs, constant demand elasticity, constant benefit multiplier of reduced drug usage, and so on, With these rather strong assumptions, we find that i) the benefit side is much more sensitive to demand elasticity than the cost side effect ii) the larger the demand elasticity, the greater the size of net gain of MP, though the result depends on the size of the benefit multiplier. This analysis shows that we need to have more information on the specific institutional path of health benefit diffusion caused by the reduction of drug usage, which was the major target of MP.

This study judged that although milk with various properties is currently being released, the growth rate of the milk market has not changed significantly, and the reason for this is that a substitution relationship has been formed between existing white milk and milk with various properties and they are competing with each other. The purpose of this study was to provide implications for the future growth of the milk market by identifying the relationship between diversified milk attributes. As a research method for this purpose the own price elasticity, cross-price elasticity, and expenditure elasticity of each attribute were derived through the LA/AIDS demand system model, and an analysis of consumers' milk purchasing factors was conducted through factor analysis. Based on the analysis results, it presented implications for growth in the milk market, such as expanding products with great differentiation in attributes such as flavor, plant and lactose-free properties, establishment of marketing strategies targeting consumers with children, and expansion of online malls.
