노인의 자아통합감 개념 분석 (The Concept Analysis of Ego-integrity in the Elderly)

  • Purpose: Ego-integrity in Erikson's stage theory is used frequently among health team members related to the care of the elderly and has specific meanings within the context of quality of life in later life. However, the concept of ego-integrity in the elderly has not been well articulated in the literature. This study was conducted clarify and conceptualize the phenomena of ego-integrity in the elderly. Method: A Hybrid Model of concept development was applied to develop a concept of ego-integrity, which included a field study carried out in Seoul, South Korea using in-depth interviews with old adults who were admitted as a right person for research subject according to attributes of ego-integrity analysed in the theoretical phase. Results: The concept of ego-integrity emerged as a complex phenomenon having meanings in several different dimensions which encompassed several attributes. Conclusions: Ego-integrity is a concept having needs that should be treated in a specific way and it is possible to enrich the meaning and methods to manage ego-integrity in nursing interventions for promoting quality of life so that its application may have effects that have positive impacts on the elderly's well being.

영아교사의 자아탄력성 및 사회적 지지가 소진에 주는 영향 (The Influence of Social Support and Ego-resilience on the Burnout of Infant Teacher)

  • 본 연구는 영아교사의 자아탄력성과 사회적 지지가 소진에 미치는 영향력을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구대상은 제주시에 위치한 어린이집에 근무하는 영아교사 200명이었으며 자아탄력성, 사회적 지지와 소진 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, Pearson의 적률상관계수 및 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 영아교사의 소진은 낮았으며 자아탄력성은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영아교사의 자아탄력성이 높을수록, 사회적 지지가 높을수록 소진 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 영아교사의 소진에 대한 자아탄력성과 사회적 지지의 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 사회적 지지보다는 자아탄력성이 더 많은 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 논의를 통해 본 연구에서는 영아교사의 소진과 관련하여 영아교사 자신의 자아탄력성과 사회적 지지가 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 영아교사의 소진을 감소시키는데 필요한 자아탄력성과 사회적 지지 증진 방안을 모색하는 교사교육 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 시사하였다.

노년기 여성의 자아통합감과 인구통계적 특성, 건강 및 외모행동과의 관련 연구 (Ego Integrity, Appearance Behavior, Health, and Demographic Variables of Elderly Women)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the differences of appearance behavior and ego integrity of elderly women according to demographic variables, and health, and to examine how the ego integrity of elderly women was influenced by appearance behavior, health, and demographic variables. The subjects were 117 elderly women(aged 60 to 70) in Jinju, Korea who were interviewed face-to face with a survey questionnaire. The results of the study were as follows. There were significant differences in appearance adornment and ego integrity (wise living and attitude toward life) according to age. After controlling for age, there were significant differences in appearance interest, makeup, and ego integrity according to education. There was a significant difference in ego integrity (attitude toward life) according to the presence of a spouse or mate. There were significant differences in appearance interest, makeup, and ego integrity according to health. Health and education had a significant effect on satisfaction with the present living. Health, age(-), and appearance behavior had a significant effect on wise living. Health, age(-), and education had a significant effect on attitude toward life. Education and health had a significant effect on appearance behavior. The present findings indicate that health state and appearance behavior, such as appearance interest and makeup, had a significant effect on the ego integrity of elderly women. On the whole, the ego integrity of elderly women was positively correlated with the level of health state, education, and appearance behavior.

간호대학생의 자아 상태, 대인관계 유능성 및 문제해결 능력에 관한 융합연구 (The Convergence study on the Ego state, Interpersonal competence and problem solving ability of nursing students.)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 자아상태, 대인관계 유능성 및 문제해결 능력과의 관계를 분석하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구방법은 임상실습 경험이 있는 간호대학생 311명을 대상으로 한 조사연구이다. 자료수집은 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였고, SPSS/Win 21.0 program으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 비판적 부모 자아(CP), 양육적 부모 자아(NP), 성인 자아(A), 자유로운 어린이 자아(FC)와 대인관계 유능성, 문제해결 능력과 정적 상관성을 보였다. 순응적 어린이 자아(AC)는 대인관계 유능성과 문제해결 능력의 계획 및 실행이 부적 상관성을 보였다. 간호대학생의 대인관계 유능성과 문제해결 능력을 향상시키기 위해 CP, NP, A, FC 자아상태를 증진시키고, AC 자아상태의 부정적 특성을 극복 할 수 있도록 상호교류분석 프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.

알코올중독자 남편을 둔 여성배우자의 자아주체성 회복경험에 대한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on the Ego-subjectivity Recovery Experience of the Wives of Alcoholics)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 여성배우자들이 남편인 알코올중독자와의 공동의존관계에서 벗어나 자아주체성을 어떻게 회복하는가를 탐구하는 것이다. 연구의 목적 달성을 위해 알코올중독자 여성배우자 5인과 1:1 심층면접을 실시했다. 면담을 통해 수집한 자료는 Giorgi[1]가 제안한 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자료분석과정에서 연구자들은 '공동의존(자아주체성 상실)', '피폐한 삶', '자아의 버팀목', '자아에 대한 자각', '자아주체성 회복'을 포함하는 총5개의 주제를 추출했다. 둘째, 연구자들은 모든 주제들을 통합하여 '알코올중독자 여성배우자의 자아에 대한 자각을 통한 자아주체성 회복'이라는 본질적 주제를 뽑아냈다. 연구자들은 연구결과를 바탕으로 알코올중독자 여성배우자들에 대한 다양한 심리치료 시스템의 적용과 상담, 가족 및 신앙의 힘을 바탕으로 하는 자아버팀목에 관한 실천적 대안들을 제시했다.

가정의 위험요인, 자아탄력성 및 또래관계의 질이 청소년의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Family Risk Factors, Ego-Resilience and Quality of Peer Relationships on Adolescent Problem Behaviors)

  • This study examined the influence of family risk factors, ego-resilience, and quality of peer relationships on adolescent problem behaviors in a sample of 335 8th grade students (178 boys and 157 girls). They responded to four kinds of questionnaires. Data were analyzed by independent t-tests, correlations, and multiple regressions. Results showed that family risk factors had direct effects on ego-resilience which directly affected quality of peer relationships. Family risk factors, ego-resilience and quality of peer relationships had direct effects on internalizing problem behaviors. Family risk factors and quality of peer relationships had direct effects on externalizing problem behaviors. Family risk factors indirectly influenced adolescent internalizing/externalizing problem behaviors through ego-resilience and quality of peer relationships.

고등학생의 건강행위와 우울 및 자아탄력성의 관계 (Relations of Depression, Ego-resilience and Health Behaviors in High School Students)

  • Purpose: This study examined depression, ego-resilience and health behaviors of high school student in order to understand the relationship among these variables. Methods: The study used raw data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey conducted in 2015. Data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test, $x^2$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Gender, school performance, economic status, subjective health status, drinking behavior and ego-resilience had significant effects on depression. Moreover, school performance, subjective health status, smoking behavior, duration of exercise during physical education classes, and depression had significant effects on ego-resilience. Conclusion: Based on these findings, we need to develop the interventions for depression and ego-resilience for adolescents, considering the related factors to health status and behaviors.

저소득층 아동의 학교 적응 : 아동이 지각한 부모의 양육행동과 아동의 자아정체감을 중심으로 (The School Adjustment of Children of Low-Income Families: Ego-Identity and Perceptions of Parenting Behaviors)

  • This study examined whether parenting behaviors as perceived by low-income children have indirect effects on their school adjustment through ego-identity. The subjects were 148 6th grade children selected from three elementary schools in Seoul; family income was less than 2,000,000 won, Statistical techniques were Person's Correlation and Simple and Multiple Regression. Findings were that (1) Perceived parenting behavior was a significant predictor of the school adjustment in low-income children. (2) Perceived parenting behavior was a significant predictor of the ego-identity of low-income children. (3) When the effect of perceived supportive parenting behaviors was controlled, the effect of ego-identity of low-income children was significant. However, when the effect of ego-identity of low-income children was controlled, the effect of perceived supportive parenting behaviors became non-significant.

아동의 자아탄력성이 학교적응에 미치는 영향 : 자아개념에 의한 스트레스의 조절된 매개효과 (The Influence of Ego-Resiliency on School Adjustment in Children : The Moderated Mediating Effect of Stress by Self-Concept)

  • This study examined the moderated mediating effect of stress by self-concept on the influence of ego-resiliency on school adjustment in children. The participants consisted of 278 4th-graders, who completed self-report questionnaires designed to assess ego-resiliency, school adjustment, self-concept, and stress. The results indicated the following: First, stress mediated the effect of ego-resiliency on school adjustment. Second, self-concept moderated the effect of stress on school adjustment. Third, the mediating effect of stress on the influence of ego-resiliency on school adjustment was moderated by self-concept. The mediating effect of stress was statistically significant when self-concept was positive, but was not statistically significant when self-concept was negative. Methods to improve children's school adjustment are also included, based on the results of this research.

부모-자녀간 의사소통 유형, 청소년 자아탄력성, 그리고 스트레스 대처방식 간의 관계: 청소년 자아탄력성의 매개효과 검증 (Relationship between Parent Communication Style and Stress Coping Styles in Adolescence: The Mediating Effects of Ego-Resiliency)

  • The major purpose of this research was to explore the mediating effects of ego-resiliency between parent communication style and stress coping styles in adolescence. The subjects who participated in this study included 247 high school students from Gyeong-gi province. They completed questionnaires on parent-adolescent communication, ego-resilience, and stress coping styles using the cognitive appraisal model by Lazarus & Folkman(1984). Data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. It was found that parent-adolescence communication as well as ego-resilience had significant effects on stress coping styles. In particular, female teenagers showed evidence that ego-resilience had complete mediation over relationships between a parent's communication styles and their stress coping styles.
