Efficient design of LDPC code Using circulant matrix and eIRA code (순환 행렬과 eIRA 부호를 이용한 효율적인 LDPC 부호화기 설계)

  • In this paper, we concentrate on reducing the complexity for efficient encoder. We design structural LDPC code using circulant matrix and permutation matrix and eIRA code. It is possible to design low complex encoder by using shift register and differential encoder and interleaver than general LDPC encoder that use matrix multiplication operation. The code designed by this structure shows similar performance as random code. And the proposed codes can considerably reduce a number of XOR gates.

  • This study intended to provide valuable basic data for an efficient using newspaper advertising to manufactures by investising and analyzing the character of newspaper as fashion advertising and media environment, consumer's attitude of advertising subscription, a degree of recognition and concern on a newspaper advertising and a degree of like on expressive form of a newspaper advertising. A question that is drawn up by researcher base on existing records and preceding study was used as major method for understanding consumer's consciousness. The sample group is composed of female students, working women, housewives who lives in Seoul. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Manufactures should be developing Headline in subject matter to get out of plain sale advertising and event advertising. 2. Manufactures should difference to understanding Illustration that consumer prefer. Also using of photography is efficient and it is importent to use of color advertising that appeal to consumer. 3. The informative advertising is a high degree of efficiency by reason that the newspaper offers great news source and information.

Statistical Estimation of Optimal Portfolios for non-Gaussian Dependent Returns of Assets

  • This paper discusses the asymptotic efficiency of estimators for optimal portfolios when returns are vector-valued non-Gaussian stationary processes. We give the asymptotic distribution of portfolio estimators ${\hat{g}}$ for non-Gaussian dependent return processes. Next we address the problem of asymptotic efficiency for the class of estimators ${\hat{g}}$ First, it is shown that there are some cases when the asymptotic variance of ${\hat{g}}$ under non-Gaussianity can be smaller than that under Gaussianity. The result shows that non-Gaussianity of X(t) does not always affect worse. Second, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for ${\hat{g}}$ to be asymptotically efficient when the return process is Gaussian, which shows that ${\hat{g}}$ is not asymptotically efficient generally. From this point of view we propose to use maximum likelihood type estimators for g, which are asymptotically efficient. We examine our approach numerically.

Efficient Agrobacterium-Mediated Transformation of Alfalfa Using Secondary Somatic Embryogenic Callus (알팔파의 이차 캘러스를 이용한 Agrobacterium에 의한 효율적인 형질 전환)

  • An efficient method for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of forage crop alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) was established using secondary somatic embryogenic calli. Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain EHAlOl and a binary vector pIG121-Hm which has selection markers for kanamycin and hygromycin have been shown to be an efticient materials for alfalfa transformation. The secondary somatic embryogenic calli originated from hypocotyl explants of alfalfa were efficient infection materials for Agrobacterium EHAlOl and normally germinated into plantlets. The introduced gene (GUS) was constitutively expressed in all tissues of transgenic alfalfa with different expression levels. These results indicate that the use of pIG121-Hm vector, Agrobacterium EHAlOl and improved culture system of callus facilitate the transformation of alfalfa.   • An energy-efficient multi-hop scheme based on cooperative MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technique is proposed for wireless sensor networks, taking into consideration the modulation constellation size, transmission distance, and extra training overhead requirement. The scheme saves energy by selecting the hop length. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, a detailed analysis of the energy and delay efficiencies in the proposed scheme compared with the equidistance scheme is presented. Results from numerical experiments indicate that by use of the proposed scheme significant savings in terms of total energy cousumption can be achieved.

  • The importance of efficient Supply Chain Management is increasing in accordance with recent industrial environment, such as globalization of business, complexity and diversity of company's management structure, and variety of customer's demand. In a rapidly changed environment of business, quick and efficient decision making is the important matter to the survival of the company. The purpose of this study supports decision making for efficient supply chain management. In this study, we consider simultaneously and mutually reflecting the preference of each constituent (Supplier, Manufacturing plant, Distribution center, Customer) on supply chain network, and decide company's strategic choice and coordinated production/distribution models of company. The Analytical Hierarchy Process is used for decision making of qualitative and quantitative elements. We use the results of AHP as inputs and propose mathematical models thru Mixed Integer Programming.

  • Nowadays the corporations related to Information & Communication field are researching more and more on VoiceXML development. VoiceXML can provide users with more efficient interface, VUI(VoiceXML User Interface) in web environment than the existing one. But more research and development for designing the Dialog have to be done for VUI to be used in efficient way. That was a main topic in "2002 VoiceXML Conference & Expo". According to the importance this paper presents VoiceXML Dialog designed for the purpose of its efficient use and the experimental result.

  • In this paper, we propose efficient management method of liberal education for improving computer literacy. We analyzed the actual conditions and factors affecting education and reflected the analysis results in education. The subject of the study is 'Practice Excel', and tested achievement based on computer literacy. In order to evaluate objectively, we conducted CBT(Computer Based Test) based on Computer Specialist in Spreadsheet & Database Level-2. Analysis of the questionnaire included the use of the popular statistical program, IBM SPSS 24 trial, and frequency, ANOVA, t-test, crossover analysis, and correlation. Evaluation results, An important factor influencing educational performance was active participation. It also proved to be very helpful for understanding excel functions & expression.

  • According to passengers gain and headway's contraction, railway vehicle is required quick and correct running. The importance of ATC device was increased gradually, and also is acting important role in safe train running and efficient use in this reason. Now, railway vehicle that is manufactured or is remodeled are designed to most automatic driving system, and ATC device design direction than other device of railway vehicle influences to whole system in this reason. Also, according as system becomes complicated gradually, importance of fault tracing function fur ATC device is emphasized gradually, and in this reason research about efficient fault tracing method is to act important role heightening reliability of ATC device. In this document, that analyzing about result through examination of automatic train operation system of localization model ATC device(SG-100) and application example, and do so that investigate about efficient fault Bracing.

  • This paper proposes an efficient hardware implementation of SPIHT(Set Partitoning In Hierarchical Tree) algorithm for image compression with the discrete wavelet transform. An efficient technique to scan the coefficients which are located in partitioned spatial orientation trees by DWT is considered in terms of counter fields for sorting pass and refinement pass. The proposed image compression method using SPIHT has been modeled in VHDL and has been implemented by use of both TMS320C6000 as a DSP and Virtex2 as a Xilinx FPGA.
