This study was conducted to investigate the gender-related effects of two instructional programs on spatial visualization skills of ninth grade students. Two instructional programs were developed for this study: a web-based virtual reality program and a paper-based program. 194 ninth graders from two middle schools in Seoul participated in this study. Six classes were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The Middle Grades Mathematics Projects (MGMP) Spatial Visualization Test was used to measure spatial visualization skills. The data analysis indicated that both the web-based and paper-based programs were effective to improve spatial visualization skills to treatment groups. Although boys'test mean scores were higher than girls' in the pretest, when deleting the effect of covariance of pretest, there were no statistical significance in the post-test. Girls in the treatment groups favored the paper-based spatial visualization program. These results imply that spatial training may benefit girls' performance more than that of boys and mode of instructional programs can create gender-related differences regarding spatial visualization skills.

Objectives : Hwanglyeonhaedok-tang(黃連解毒湯) is a representative herbal formula with "clear heat(淸熱)" effects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of Hwanglyeonhaedok-tang-based intranasal herbal ointment Biyeom-go based on the cold and heat pattern identification questionnaire(CHPIQ). Methods : We performed a subgroup analysis of the previously published prospective observational study. A total of 58 patients with rhinitis were administered Biyeom-go for 4 weeks, and its effects on the Total Nasal Symptom Score(TNSS), Mini Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(Mini-RQLQ) score, and nasal endoscopy index score were analyzed based on CHPIQ. Results : Among the 58 patients, the heat and non-heat patterns were shown by 39 and 19 patients, respectively, while the cold and non-cold patterns were shown by 46 and 12 patients, respectively. The change in TNSS from baseline negatively correlated with the heat pattern score(p=0.011). Improvement in TNSS was greater in the heat pattern group than in the non-heat pattern group, with a borderline significant difference(p=0.07). Mini-RQLQ and nasal endoscopy index scores tended to be lower in the heat pattern group than in the non-heat pattern group, but without a statistically significant difference. Conclusion : The findings indicate that CHPIQ is a useful tool for the diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of patients with rhinitis. This study provides fundamental evidence of the close association between the cold-heat pattern in patients with rhinitis and the treatment effects of Biyeom-go.

Many different kinds of wargame models have been developed and used in training and analysis purpose. However, there has been few wargame model which analyze corps or division level operational analysis. Recently KIDA develops corps level operational analysis model based on START(simplified tool for analysis of regional treats) model developed by RAND. This model runs in a PC level with 2MB memory and provides one day combat results within 30 seconds. Only one or three person can operate this model and evaluate multiple corps level operational analysis including chemical effects, $C^3I$ capacity, new weapon system effectiveness and other qualitative effects. We tested this model and evaluated input and output data. We showed that this model can be applied in division level operational analysis also. As an example division level application procedure and sensitivity analysis data was provided. We also find some limitation and problems in the model and suggest application areas and improving methods.

We analyzed the effect of local college students' economic activities on the local economy. The analysis method was an industry-related analysis based on data obtained from a survey. As a result of the analysis, local university students were found to be sensitive to price when consuming due to insufficient living infrastructure around local universities. In addition, as a result of analyzing the impact of local college students' consumption expenditures on the local economy, especially local income, using a regional industry correlation table, the total income generated was KRW 130.6 billion (direct and indirect income effects KRW 90.9 billion, induced income effects KRW 39.6 billion), and the number of people induced to be employed was KRW 130.6 billion. It was estimated that there were 2,145 people per year. We examined the effect of local college students' economic activities on the local economy through quantitative analysis. This is a contribution point of the study as evidence supporting the maintenance and necessity of local universities, and suggests that the government and local governments should take active interest and efforts in fostering local universities.

The explosion effect of computer graphics Visual Effects(VFX) used in films and animations is an important element that determines the completeness of the film, and its usage is getting extended. The realistic explosion effect of VFX should be made according to observations and analysis of various factors of actual explosion in real world. This experimental research would suggest the efficient production guideline for the technical characteristics of underwater explosion of VFX. For this research process, first, the comparison of actual explosion and VFX explosion effect, classification of actual explosion, and characteristics of underwater explosion effect will be addressed. Second, based on the literature reviews, the four steps of experimental production analysis tool will be derived. Third, the experimental research will be processed in along with technical factors four steps of the underwater explosion effect, (1)realistic creation and emission of fluid, (2)fluid expansion control by water pressure, (3)bubble effect, and (4)motion of bubble & dissipation of fluid. The effective method of fluid simulation production will be verified through experimental studies based on the characteristics of the actual explosion process. This experimental study suggested the VFX production technique is expected to be used as the basic data for related research field.

This study aimed to examine the actor and partner effects of marital satisfaction on life satisfaction in middle-aged and older couples via their health behavior and health. The study participants included a total of 2,108 couples, aged 57 and over, from the eighth wave of data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA). The marital satisfaction, health behavior, health, and life satisfaction of the husbands and wives were measured to conduct the analysis. This analysis was conducted based on the Actor-Partner Interdependence Mediation Model (APIMeM) with the bootstrapping technique being used as the mediating effect. The results indicated that there were significant actor and partner direct and indirect effects when it comes to the relationship between the participants' marital satisfaction and their own life satisfaction, mediated by health behavior and health. However, no significant influences regarding the health of the participants on the life satisfaction of their spouses were found. These results suggest that it is important for middle-aged and older couples to improve their marital relationships in order to promote the health and life satisfaction of both parties. Doing so will help husbands and wives lead healthier lifestyles based on their positive relationships.

There is increasing awareness in the international alliance literature that the firm performance effects of the alliance portfolio go beyond the effects of the individual alliances. I enrich this nascent perspective by developing a alliance portfolio composition framework based on the alliance portfolio dimensions - underpinned by the simultaneity of quantitative and qualitative factors in international portfolio - that enhances firms' financial performance. This paper assesses the impact on firm performance of composing the alliance dimension within a firm's international alliance portfolio. In an unbalanced panel data analysis with fixed effects of the performance of 502 firms operating in the Korean manufacturing industry during 2011-2017, I test whether firm's three dimension of international alliance portfolio affect on firm financial performance. I find that the intensity of international alliance have significantly positive effect on the firm performance. And following the moderating analysis of three portfolio dimension-functional, relational, and attribute, all of each three international alliance portfolio has positive moderating effects on the relationship between the alliance intensity and firm performance. These results indicate that firms should consider and form simultaneous approaches to exploit the international alliance based on the alliance portfolio dimensions with intensity of alliance portfolio.

This study analyzed with the case analysis of a series of processes from job analysis survey and results analysis, and academic achievement in order to transform the curriculum of existing courses of the NCS-based video broadcasting. Also this study analysed the existing curriculum and analyzed the trend of workforce trends and needs of the broadcasting content industry. Also through a needs analysis for the industry and alumni and students, video graphics, video editing and video directing were selected. In this paper it dealt mainly with respect to the video graphics in a dual job. Modeling capability into the unit through a job analysis, animation, effects and lighting were chosen accordingly based introduction of graphics and application of graphics were derived two courses and selected profiles and performance criteria. This training according to the NCS curriculum for students was evaluated based on the student's job was to investigate the learning ability.

This study aims to provide implications for mobile foreign language vocabulary learning app by analyzing the effects of mobile vocabulary learning app based on character animation. For this purpose, we applied the learning application designed with character animation and text, and the application designed with text only to two groups of learners, and analyzed the effect. As a result, we found that application designed with character animation and text was useful in recognition frequency and duration concerning learning. Regarding learning outcomes, we found that it is useful not only in memory but also in learning interest and motivation. This study provides implications for learning method and design development of mobile-based foreign language vocabulary learning application which actively using recently.

The main purpose of this study was to examine the determinants of organizational form in the sport organization. This study found that the leader's quality had positive influences on the personality, knowledge ability, and change management. Based on the analysis of three hundred fifty cases, the following results were found. First, the leader's quality and personality had the significant effects on knowledge-Based management in the sports organizations. Second, the leader's knowledge competence and the transformative leadership had the significant effects on knowledge-Based management in the sports organizations. Third, the leader's knowledge :management had the significant effects on organiztional behavior in the sports organizations.
