춘천지역 일부 비만인 성인대상 식생활교육과 운동중재 프로그램의 효과평가 (Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Dietary Education and Exercise Program on Obese Adults in Chuncheon Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention program using dietary consult and physical exercise conducted by public health center in Chuncheon city for obese adults. This study used a pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 58 out of 90 obese adults with body mass index (BMI) greater than $25kg/m^2$ who completed all education sessions for 8 weeks. Data on dietary habits, dietary behaviors, nutritional knowledge, anthropometric parameters and biochemical indices and daily nutrient intakes assessed by a 24-hour recall were collected before and after the intervention program., in order to evaluate program effectiveness. After the intervention, there were positive changes in exercise status and dietary habits and nutrition knowledge accuracy. Especially, the answer of 'I drink a cup of milk every day' were significantly improved (p<0.001), and the answer of 'I don't overeat', which is a dietary attitude question was significantly improved (p<0.05). Dietary intakes of most of nutrients were not significantly different between pre-test and post-test. But calcium (p<0.05), potassium (p<0.05), vitamin A (p<0.01), vitamin E (p<0.05), and folic acid (p<0.05) were significantly increased in the female group after the intervention. Weight (p<0.05), BMI (p<0.01), blood pressure (p<0.001), were significantly decreased after program, but changes of skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass were not significant. Resting heart rate (p<0.01), flexibility (p<0.001), whole body reaction (p<0.05), grip strength (p<0.01) and balance (p<0.01) showed positive changes after the intervention. Blood glucose level in serum was significantly decreased (p<0.001). These results indicated that dietary education and exercise program was effective not only for weight reduction but also for the improvement of physical fitness in obese adults.

컴퓨터 과학 교육을 위한 초등 퍼즐 기반 학습 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Primary Puzzle-Based Learning Program for Computer Science Education)

  • 21세기를 살아가는 현대인들에게 정보과학적 사고는 필수적으로 갖추어야 할 사고능력이다. 그러나 현행 정보교육과정 내에서 이러한 사고능력을 갖추기란 현실적으로 매우 어렵다. 이에 단편적이고 일률적인 프로그래밍 교육에서 벗어나 학습자의 정보과학적 사고능력을 신장시키고 컴퓨터 과학 원리를 쉽게 이해시키기 위하여 초등 퍼즐 기반 학습 프로그램을 개발하였다. 그리고 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해 제주도내 초등학교 3~6학년 학생 41명을 대상으로 35시간 동안 적용한 결과, 창의적 문제해결력과 정보과학적 문제해결력에 긍정적 변화를 가져오는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 교육프로그램의 설계와 그 효과를 검증하고 새로운 정보교육 형태로서 초등 퍼즐 기반 학습 프로그램을 제시하고자 한다.

공학도를 위한 커뮤니케이션 교육 프로그램의 개발 (Development of Communication Education Program for Engineering Students)

  • 본 연구는 공학도들의 커뮤니케이션 능력을 향상시키기 위해 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 커뮤니케이션 교육 프로그램이 실제로 효과가 있었는지를 검증하기 위해 천안 소재 K 대학교의 이공계 학생 37명을 실험집단으로, 통제집단은 동일 대학교의 34명을 대상으로 하여, 사전-사후 실험 설계로 진행하였다. 커뮤니케이션 프로그램은 8개의 모듈로 구성되어, 각 모듈별 100분씩 주 1회 총 8주간에 걸쳐 실시되었다. 분석결과 사전검사에서는 실험집단과 통제집단 간 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 통제집단에 대한 사전-사후검사 분석 결과도 차이가 없었다. 실험집단에서는 사전-사후검사에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 커뮤니케이션 교육 프로그램이 공학도의 커뮤니케이션 능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 확인된 것이다.

공과대학 학생들을 위한 인턴십 및 현장실습 사전교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of Pre-training Program for Internship or Field Training for Engineering College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a pre-training program of engineering college students for maximizing the effectiveness of internship or field training. To pursue this goal, literature review was conducted for data collection about college and corporate pre-training program for internship or field training and pre-training program(draft) was proposed. A questionnaire survey was conducted with engineering professors, students and graduates to identify the needs for pre-training program(draft) for internship or field training. Based on the results, the contents of pre-training program for internship or field training were composed of basic liberal arts, basic competency, real information related with corporation or job, and information exchange network. And key consideration for operating the pre-training program for internship or field training were proposed with the management department, regulation for the obligatory participation, meaningful organizing content, feedback of needs.

성인자녀를 위한 노인부양 교육프로그램 (A family life education program for caregiving families)

  • A family life education program for caregiving families has been developed in order to help mitigate burden of those who provide caregiving for their older parents and to meet the needs of both caregiving families and parents. The program has been applied to a small group of people who have at least one living older parent. The effectiveness of the program has been evaluated by taking one pre-test and two post-tests. The test results suggest that the program has been effective in improving participants' knowledge on aging process, locus of self control, and relationships with parents.

농촌 성인 문해교육 성과와 시사점 -충남 청양군 사례를 중심으로- (Effectiveness of Literacy Education for Adults in Rural Area and its Implications: Focused on the Case of Chungyang County)

  • 이 연구는 청양군에서 실시하고 있는 성인 문해교육의 성과를 측정하고 향후 문해교육 프로그램 운영에 있어 발전적 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 청양군 성인 문해 학습자의 문해력 수준은 학습년차별 성취도를 조사하여 측정하였는데, 문해교육을 통해 학습자들의 문해력은 상당한 정도로 향상되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 문헌 및 인터뷰, 조사결과를 통해 향후 농촌지역 성인의 문해교육을 위한 발전방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 문해교육을 통해 학습자들은 상당한 정도로 문해력이 향상되었으나 여전히 기초 생활문해 수준을 보이고 있어 향후에도 지속적으로 문해교육을 실시할 필요가 있다. 그리고 어느 정도 문해수준이 획득된 학습자들을 위한 좀 더 높은 수준의 문해교육을 실시할 필요가 있으며, 방법도 다양화해야 할 것이다. 또한 문해교육에 있어서 가장 중요한 요소로 꼽히는 문해교사들의 지도 능력 향상을 위한 다양한 방법이 강구되어야 할 것이다. 더불어 남성 학습자들을 위한 프로그램 개발과 다양한 유인책이 필요하다.

임상실습지도자의 효율성 조사와 임상평가도구 개발 (A Survey of Teaching Effectiveness and the Development of an Evaluation Instrument for Clinical Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of clinical instruction by students ratings of teaching effectiveness in clinical education. The instrument used in this study was teaching effectiveness of clinical nursing by Yu and modified evaluation method by Kern and Mickelson. The results were are follows 1. Among the 12 categorial components of clinical teaching effectiveness, the highest satisfaction was 'encouraging to think for themselves' and the lowest was 'attitude of teacher and evaluation' 2. To compare teaching effectiveness between sex, 'resource for student' and 'professional competence' showed statistical significance. 3. To compare teaching effectiveness among clinical practice stage, 'encouraging' 'role model', 'professional competence', 'organization of subject mater' and 'attitude of teacher and evaluation' showed statistical significance. 5. Interrater ICCs for evaluation method did not showed statistical significance and interitem ICCs showed statistical significance. This article presents goal of clinical education, development of clinical instructor's educational program and a standardized method to measure clinical performance.

Effects of a nutrition education program on metabolic syndrome risk factors in middle-aged Korean adults: an intervention study

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a nutrition education program on metabolic syndrome in middle-aged Korean adults. Methods: A total of 411 Korean adults 30-59 years of age were allocated randomly into three groups: the nutrition education group for promoting Han-sik consumption (HG), the nutrition education group for eating balanced diet (EG), and the control group (CG). The HG and EG received four face-to-face nutrition education sessions over 16 weeks to improve nutritional problems based on the individual's usual diet. Effectiveness of the program was evaluated with the differences of self-reported dietary behaviors, dietary intakes, anthropometric measurements and biochemical indices between the baseline and the end of the nutrition education program. The changes within groups were analyzed using paired t-test and McNemar test and effectiveness among three groups was analyzed by repeated analysis of variance. Results: After the nutrition education, the percentages of participants who achieved the recommended food group consumption in the Korean Food Guidance Systems significantly increased in HG (P = 0.022). Body weight (P = 0.007), body mass index (P = 0.002), and triglycerides (P = 0.002) significantly decreased in HG. Waist circumference and diastolic blood pressure decreased in all three groups (P < 0.05). Conclusions: This study found that tailored nutrition education program for middle aged Korean adults showed beneficial effects on improving dietary behaviors and metabolic syndrome risk factors. Further studies are needed to assess the long-term effects of the nutrition education programs on metabolic syndrome risks.

Implementation and Evaluaion of Nutrition Education Program for Elementary School Children

  • This study was designed to develop, implement and evaluate a nutrition education program for elementary school children. Subjects consisted of 47 children in the 6th grade in Seoul, Korea. They received five sessions of nutrition education from June to July, 1999. Topics for nutrition education included function of nutrients, food sources of nutrients, balanced diet, meal planning, and adequate energy intake. Each session lasted 40 minutes. To evaluate program effectiveness, one group pretest-posttest design was used. Subjects were given a pretest and a posttest on nutrition knowledge, eating attitudes, eating behavior, and dietary intake. All data were statistically analyzed mainly using the paired t-test and $\chi$$^2$-test. There was a significant difference between pretest and posttest score on nutrition knowledge(p<0.001), subscales of nutrition knowledge including food sources of nutrients, function of nutrients, and balanced diet(p<0.001). These changes in nutrition knowledge were also shown both in boys(p<0.001) and in girls(p<0.001). Eating attitudes, subscales of eating attitudes, and eating behavior were not significantly changed after nutrition education, although some changes were observed in these variables. Dietary intakes were not significantly were not significantly changed after nutrition education for all subjects ; however, different patterns in dietary intakes were observed when examined by sex. There was an increase in nutrient intakes among boys, while there was a significant decrease in nutrient intakes among girls after program implementation. Especially, it was noted that girls had diets deficient in iron, calcium, and vitamin A, even after nutrition education. It was concluded that a five-week nutrition education program can improve nutrition knowledge or some dietary intake, but this might not be enough to induce changes in food attitudes, eating behavior or dietary intakes. It might be necessary to incorporate diverse approaches, targeting sub-groups of children, and follow-up in nutrition education for elementary school children.   • 사회 각종 분야에서 데이터 과학이 활용되는 비율이 높아지고 있음에도 불구하고 데이터 과학 교육 프로그램에 대한 연구는 비교적 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 초등학생을 대상으로하는 데이터 과학 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 피지컬 컴퓨팅 도구 중에 하나인 마이크로비트를 활용하여 데이터를 수집하는 프로그램을 제작해 보고, 수집된 데이터를 분석하여 결과를 도출하는 데이터 과학의 단계를 수행하는 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 00대학교 정보영재과정을 수강하고 있는 초등학생 6학년 10명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, 효과를 검증하기 위하여 컴퓨팅 사고력 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 본 연구를 통해 개발된 데이터 과학 교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력을 향상시키는 데 유의미한 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
