  • Purpose: This study aimedto develop a structural equation model on the relationship among ego-resilience, and teaching effectiveness on clinical education, stress coping style, perceived family support, and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students in order to increase the satisfaction of clinical practice. Methods: The subjects were 399 undergraduate nursing students enrolled in 7 universities and participating in 10 clinical practice setting areas in 5 cities in South Korea. The research was conducted from December 5th, 2009 to February 20th, 2010. The structural equation model was used to perform the analysis with the statistics program of SPSS win 17.0 and AMOS 5.0. Results: Teaching effectiveness and family support showed a direct effect on satisfaction of clinical practice, while ego-resilience and stress coping styles showed an indirect effect. The biggest total effect on satisfaction of clinical practice was teaching effectiveness followed by family support, ego-resilience, and stress coping styles respectively, which accounted for 50.9%. Conclusion: Based on outcomes of this study, the proposed model allows better understanding of the satisfaction of clinical practice. This result implies that strategies or intervention programs enhancing extrinsic protection factors, motivation factors, and intrinsic protection factors should be considered. In addition, a structural support system for increasing the satisfaction level of clinical practice in nursing students should also be considered.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of reading role model (parents, teachers, and friends) and reading effectiveness (reading satisfaction, willingness to persistent reading, immersed reading) reflected on middle school students' academic achievement (Korean Language performance and middle school record). As a result of the analysis, the factors affecting the performance of Korean Language were father (1.9%) and mother (3.4%) among reading role models. Among reading effectiveness factors, willingness to persistent reading (8%) was the only effective factor. In the case of the middle school record, the mother (3.4%) had the only effect among the reading role models, and reading effectiveness was influenced all factors such willingness to persistent reading (10.4%), immersed reading (4.0%) and reading satisfaction (1.9%). However, except for the factor willingness to persistent reading, the it found the influence was insignificant.

Smart working can improve public servants' quality of life and job performance. However, institutional, managerial, and infrastructural conditions that support smart working must be implemented for smart working arrangements to be successful. Therefore, this study analyzed the impact of institutions, management, and infrastructure on the effectiveness of public servants working in smart working conditions. The results showed that institutional, managerial, and infrastructural factors have a significant impact on the effectiveness of civil servants working in smart working conditions. Institutional and infrastructural factors also influenced organizational effectiveness. These findings have implications for how to manage smart working in the public sector in South Korea.

  • This study defined three elements of game ability and effectiveness that functional games must have in a cross-media environment where one content is distributed through various media through previous research. We sought to reveal the impact of each element on the relevant content and cross-media content, as well as the impact when cross-media content is used in parallel. To this end, a case of digital content using a picture book and a smartphone app targeting traditional craft learning was produced by itself, and the results of its use were collected as a questionnaire. As a result, the effectiveness of the three effectiveness factors of functional games was confirmed, and the relationship between the cross-media environment and content was revealed, revealing the positive possibility of using cross-media.

  • Objectives: This review is to suggest strategies to reduce risk factors of non-communicable diseases (NCD) in South Korea. Methods: Prior research findings on the burden of NCD and associated risk factors and the effectiveness of intervention programs were reviewed. Strategies regarding the control of NCD risk factors were conceived. Results: The author presented research findings from the Global Burden of Disease study on the burden of non-communicable disease (NCD) and associated risk factors in South Korea. Strengths and limitations of population and high-risk strategies for preventing NCDs were introduced. The author also reviewed the evidence on the effectiveness of multiple cardiovascular risk factor interventions and community-based intervention programs on cardiovascular diseases conducted in industrialized countries. Finally, strategies to reduce NCD risk factors in South Korea were suggested. Conclusions: The evidence-based interventions and the importance of population strategies in NCD prevention were highlighted. The author indicated that strategies employed by unhealthy commodity industries to undermine effective public health policies and programs should be actively monitored. It has been suggested that effective high-risk strategies with ecological models to address social risks rather than medical risks among disadvantaged population should be further developed in South Korea.

  • As the domestic aviation industry grows, the aviation maintenance field is also growing rapidly. This change calls for more aircraft maintenance technicians, and interest in safety accidents is also increasing. Individual safety climate indicates the importance of safety in the organization. We expect that three individual factors (training effectiveness, procedure effectiveness, and work pressure) relate to safety behavior in the workplace via individual safety climate. The purpose of this research is investigating the relationship between individual factors and aircraft maintenance technician's safety behavior. Previous studies related to individual factors were examined for literature review. Based on the previous studies, research model was constructed. Hypothesis was verified by effected data from 305 samples were employed for final survey. The results show that individual factors were meaningful factors to effect perceived safety behavior, and safety knowledge & safety motivation were related to safety compliance & safety participation.

For this purpose, analysis was completed after conducting a survey on the class to obtain Interior Architecture Engineer Certification. 23 applicants were selected based on effectiveness of each subject, level of difficulty, degree of understanding, mentoring effect, self-driven learning, and group discussion. Results are as below. Upon the first written test, Interior Design Theory and Chromatics showed a high learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and mentoring. Ergonomics showed a high learning effectiveness in mentoring, self-driven learning and group discussion while Building Materials, Architecture Construction presented a high effectiveness only in mentoring and group discussion. Architecture Environment showed average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion and showed a low effectiveness in self-driven learning. Upon the second practice test, Interior Architecture Construction and Planning/Management of Construction Materials presented an average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Process Control and Adding Up(Supply Calculation) showed a low learning effectiveness in self-driven learning and presented an average to below average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion. Lastly, Interior Design Plan, Interior Design Drawings presented average learning effectiveness in mentoring and group discussion however they showed a high effectiveness in self-driven learning.

  • The government has offered incentives to encourage private companies that are to meet the Green Building Certification Criteria. Despite offering these incentives, the Green Building Certification Criteria record share of newly-built building in 2010 is 0.35%, very low. Effectiveness of Green Building Incentive applied by the Green Building Certification Criteria is questioned. So we attempts to analysis about effectiveness of Green Building by using Cost-Benefit Analysis. But if we want to use CBA, we need to draw cost, benefit factors that compose the incentive. So in this study, for applying CBA, we analysis cost, benefit factors.
