Design is a fatal factor to differentiate and survive one product from the other in fierce competition of the market, when other conditions such as price or quality makes no much difference. Among many marketing tools, package design is known as a direct communication that visualizes and forms the very initial brand image of a product. Package design is not only for packing, transporting, storing and loading but for engraving the brand image in a consumers' mind and lead them to purchasing. One of recent package design trands is various ways of using character, not just as a printed image on the surface but as a part of three dimensional structure of package. If it succeed, the package design could give out the secondary fun and impact to the consumers. The package design with an effective character is itself a great marketing tool and valuable design asset, which can bring a further profit to the company. Especially, character-package can be a powerful and effective marketing method for various local products, in needs of further publication and sales with limited cost. It should motivate the sales of the products by grabbing their attention and taken as a souvenir. This research takes a character package as a useful marketing method for a local brand in Jeonju, South Korea, and tries to design a three dimensional package using its own character. Through the process, the research aims to propose an important design strategy for repositioning or enhancing an existing brand.

A Grid Database is a database management system to process effectively and use the distributed data in a grid computing environment. Spatial data is more important than other general data according to the local characteristics and requires a large storage. The grid database can be used as the optimal system for the management of the spatial data. However, contrary to the conventional distributed database systems, the Grid Database which guarantees the local autonomy has a possibility not to provide an effective system, or it is impossible to use a centralized management environment. In order to allow flexible responses to a dynamically changing environment, it is required to use effectively reorganized method. In this paper, hierarchical reorganization method is presented for dynamic reorganization in a grid database. When the reorganization is conducted, an organizer is created to collect the information of databases. In addition, the organizer which is constructed by the hierarchical structure supports information communication and reorganization, and then it allows the support of regional reorganization operation and effective balance control. The performance assessment of the proposed method shows that the processing capacity is increased after the reorganization.
This study was conducted to do in-depth exploration of coroperate employees' learning experiences for workplace under COVID-19. We collected data through depth interviews from August 10th to November 30th, 2020 with five employees of S Energy company, and a qualitative case study was conducted using Ricci's 3-step analysis procedure. As a result, In the process of adapting from the landing of COVID-19, "The Story of a Distant Country," "No More Safe Zones," "Exploring effective responses created by a Sense of Crisis," and "Learning the changed way of work for adaptation." appeared. In addition, It has been found that the experience of learning in the work environment of the With Corona era includes "learning experience for survival from a sense of crisis", "learning experience for adapting to Untact culture", "learning experience through SNS communication", and "competitive learning experience for performance creation". In conclusion, employees have adapted to changes in the workplace environment through various learning experiences, which can enhance workers' ability to cope with crisis situations and can be used as basic data for an effective learning. In the future, we suggested follow-up researches of corporate employees in various fields.
Background: This study involved a geriatric oral care expert who developed the competencies of students in the Department of Dental Hygiene and conducted preliminary research to develop an effective curriculum. Methods: A questionnaire was conducted in the last week of class targeting students who took courses in geriatric dentistry, geriatric dental hygiene, and practice. In order to confirm the educational effect according to the differences in the geriatric dental hygiene curriculum, the differences in students' achievement of major competencies, awareness of the geriatric dental hygiene process, class satisfaction, and ageism were analyzed. Results: Regarding major competency attainment, 'communication competency' was significantly higher in PBL education that combined theory and practice than that theory-oriented PBL education (p=0.038). For ageism, the tendency to avoid older adults was low in PBL education, which combined theory and practice, and was statistically significant (p=0.040). For class satisfaction, the rate of responding 'very high' for the 'class atmosphere' was significantly high (p=0.025) for PBL education that combined theory and practice. Conclusion: The PBL teaching method can be useful as a geriatric dental hygiene curriculum. However, it would be more effective to create a curriculum so that education in geriatric dental hygiene care practice can be combined with theory rather than a theoretical education alone.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the concerns and difficulties encountered by authors involved in the development of integrated science textbooks. Specifically, it focuses on their experiences with understanding and implementing the 2022 revised science curriculum. We collected 89 opinions from textbook authors and categorized them into several key areas: understanding the terminology and descriptors provided in the curriculum, structuring learning content, inquiries and activities, and the depth and scope of learning content. The analysis revealed that the most difficulty encountered by the textbook authors was in defining the level and scope of learning content. Many also expressed concerns and difficulties related to the ambiguity of terms and predicates. In terms of the composition of learning content, difficulties were identified in concerning the repetitive descriptions of achievement standards and the discrepancy between the arrangement of achievement standards and the flow of learning. Regarding inquiries and activities, there were experiments presented that were difficult to experience or actually implement, along with limitations in activity composition due to the need to optimize learning volume. Given the importance of high-quality textbooks for effective science education at the national level, it is crucial to establish effective communication channels between curriculum developers and textbook authors. Additionally, a robust support system for textbook development should be established.
Countercurrent oxidation process (COP) was developed and evaluated for treatment of highly concentrated PCB containing insulating oil. The PCB content in insulating oil taken from Haksanmetal company was found to be 1,512 ppm. The COP utilizes a self-sustained flame which propagates itself in a direction counter to the oxygen flow. The flame removes PCBs adsorbed in activated carbon and, at the same time, regenerates activated carbon. The flame temperature was determined from both mass loss of activated carbon and the relative ratio of CO and $CO_2$ exhausted during COP, and showed that its temperature lied in the range of $650-850^{\circ}C$. Removal efficiency of PCBs was achieved above 99.99% for 5% of insulating oil loaded activated carbon with 1 COP in weight ratio. Also, the same removal efficiency was acquired for 60% of insulating oil loaded activated carbon with three consecutive COP. In addition, specific surface area of activated carbon during COP was recovered to almost similar value of virgin activated carbon. It proved that the COP was much effective in removing high concentration of PCBs in insulating oil easily and affordably.

The Union of Kansai Governments of Japan is regarded as a bench marking for the successful cooperation, alliance, and cooperation of neighboring local governments. The Union of Kansai Governments was a realization several active plan of the Kansai Economic Federation. The purpose of this study is to examine the roles of the Kansai Economic Federation in the process for establishment of the Union of Kansai Governments, searching for theoretical implications for the inter-municipal cooperation of Gwangyand Bay in South Korea. In particular, this study review the activities and roles of the Kansai Economic Federation in relation with the establishment of a number of promotional organizations and governance systems. We played special attention to the three important factors carried out by the Kansai Economic Federation, that is, the contineous activities, the accumulated research results, and establishment of various promotion organizations and effective governance systems. We suggest, in conclusion, that these three factors would also have very important policy implications for the discussion of inter-municipal cooperation among three cities, Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang.

Riverbed Modeler, which is a commercial packet-level discrete event simulator is used to model, design, and simulate complicated communication protocols and large-scale network. Riverbed Modeler got credit for its reliability in field of network simulation. In the MANET simulation environment using Riverbed Modeler, it is very complicated to add a new routing protocol into existing architecture of routing protocols because it is required lots of modifications of protocol recognition. In this paper, we propose Routing Adding Framework which can reduce errors or mistakes during modifying the existing routing support architecture. Routing Adding Framework is provided as a adapter API for protocol recognition. and it is only minimum modifications for protocol identifiers when a new routing protocol is added to the child process of manet_mgr process which manages routing protocols for IP layer. With Routing Adding Framework, we can reduce less than half modification. Then, we shows an example of implementation of a hybrid routing protocol AntHocNet using Routing Adding Framework, and we verify its design and application of the Routing Adding Framework by obtaining simulation result with similar result given by AntHocNet.
Purpose - Recently on-the-job training (OJT) has become the most preferred training and development method with the emergence of the concept that workplace is the best place where learning take place. But many researchers argue that OJT is not helpful for the performance of organization because OJT is not systematic and mostly depend on quality of trainer. Since Jacobs & McGriffin introduced S-OJT (structured OJT), there has been plenty of researches. But most of the researches have focused mainly on employee's attitude and organizational performance caused by S-OJT and neglected a holistic approach of S-OJT as a system. S-OJT need to be analyzed comprehensively to understand training performance because S-OJT is operated as a system consist of input, process, and organizational context. Although S-OJT may create unintended consequences, there were few researches to explore them. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the critical success factors for S-OJT and to find unintended consequences of it. Research design, data and methodology - We conducted a case study on M business unit of A company which developed and has been implementing S-OJT program for years. We designed and prepared the process, collected and analyzed data for the study. We set the theoretical framework to analyze the case after reviewing theories and previous studies on S-OJT. We collected and analyzed internal reports and interview results of the employees of the M business unit. We tried to collect as many information as possible to secure the validity of the research results. Results - The critical success factors identified in the study are as follow. First, it is important to select and train proper trainers for S-OJT. Second, it is needed to develop structured training module. Third, organization have to use effective communication system like on-line community. Forth, trainer should have proper skills for training such as facilitating skill, coaching skill, and delivering skill etc. Fifth, proper learning place is needed. Sixth, organizational support is important especially, immediate supervisor support and concern is critical. Eleventh, it is needed to consider situational contexts. Among them, overload to the trainer will affect the effectiveness of S-OJT. In this study, we found an additional unintended consequence. "To teach is the best way to learn." Experience as a trainer give employee an opportunity to organize one's knowledge and skill and to attain facilitation skill, coaching skill, and relation skill. Thus, organization may use S-OJT to train the potential talent. Conclusions - Many organizations introduced S-OJT to train the newcomers because S-OJT drew attention as an important tool to develop employees. Following this trend, there has been increasing number of researches to find the results of S-OJT and identify the determinants of S-OJT success. However, most of the researches concentrated on finding effects of some factors neglecting holistic approach. This study tried to identify critical success factors affecting effectiveness of S-OJT by using case study and find additional unintended consequence. The results of the study will be useful for organizations which have a plan to adopt S-OJT.

This paper describe the most advanced database management system for the mobile number portability(MNP) in the world The database management system can process the procedure of porting_out and porting_in in 30 minutes and it is the shortest time in the world. The MNP DB management system consists of two functional blocks, one is for the call processing system and the other is for the management of subscriber of MNP. The hardware and processing algorithm are presented in this paper. The DB for call processing is located at each mobile operator and be called local number portability database (L-NPDB). The DB for the management of subscriber of MNP consist of L-NPDB and master database which is located at the Korea telecommunications operators association(KTOA). The hardware database system for MNP consists of the interconnection system of master-NPCDB (NP customer database, M-NPCDB), local-NPCDB, M-NPDB and L-NPDB. The master database is interconnected to the local database through dedicated line and can process any MNP service in real time. The presented MNP structure in this paper has been implemented in Korea and became the most effective and advanced DB management system for MNP in the world.
