When the lowest dose level compared with zero-dose control has significant difference in effect, it is referred as minimum effective dose (MED). In this paper, we discuss several nonparametric methods for finding MED using updated rank at each sequential test step in small sample size and suggest new nonparametric procedures based on placement. Monte Carlo Simulation is adapted to compare power and Familywise Error Rate(FWE) of the new procedures with those of discussed nonparametric tests for finding MED.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the actual condition, the result and the problem of the military defense CALS system and seek the way of the effective use of the military defense CALS. We perform an analytic hierarchy process to find the factors that have an influence on the effective use of CALS and evaluate the level of importance of these factors. Also we estimate the actual condition and the result by the Likert 7 scale.

$Str\ddot{o}mgren$-system colors for 23 OV stars compiled by Crawford have been compared with colors calculated by Mihalas from non-LTE model atmospheres. In this way, effective temperatures of these stars have been determined and plotted against spectral type, $c_1$ (u-b), (b-y), (U-B), and (B-V). Within the accuracy of the observations, effective temperatures derived from the photometry for these 23 main-sequence stars are found to be in good agreement with Contiis spectroscopical temperatures.

The basic stance of the Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs was 'quiet diplomacy'. However, there had been demands for specific plans for practical protection of Dokdo. In 2011, Prime Minister Kim Hwang Sik mentioned that they are reviewing measures of stationing marines on Dokdo, while on August 10th, 2012, former president Lee Myung Bak visited Dokdo. The visit itself was meaningful as he was the first supreme commander to visit Dokdo. This paper studies on the necessity of naval power on Dokdo to maintain its effective control. The effective control must be done by a national organization in a peaceful and unimpaired method. If so, can stationing naval power, whether directly or indirectly, on Dokdo be considered a violation of 'peaceful' method? A 'peaceful' effective of control meas the right of sovereignty over a territory without other country's protest. In such terms, protecting a territory falls under practicing the right of sovereignty, and therefore does not violate 'peaceful'. In addition, looking at international cases such as Ligitan/Sipadan Case and Pedra Blanca Case, evidences such as 'navy activity', 'flyng ensign', and 'military communication facility installation' was used. In ter case of Yemen-Eritrea dispute over Hanish, methods on effective control over island and sea was also ruled by the installation of military posts and military surveillance activities. Thus, stationing naval power on Dokdo can be a way of maintaining effective control per international law. To station naval poer on Dokdo, Presidential Instruction 24 integrated Defense Guideline Enforcement Ordinance, which is domestic law, must be revised. Reason being, the Enforcement Ordinance states that the navy area of responsibility excluded Ullundo, where Dokdo is under jurisdiction of Ullungdim thus excluding navy control. In addition, considering the diplomatic situation, it is more fut to install navy radar site on Dokdo rather than 'stationing marines'. In other words, enforcing surveillance in the vicinity of Dokdo and installing radar site instead of stationing direct combatants is one way of practicing effective control without stimulating diplomatic disputes.

This thesis is to inquire into the effect of group art therapy by way of reminiscence on the depression of the elderly inpatients with geriatric illness. The subjects are 20 inpatients whose age is over sixty in the Elderly Nursing Hospital located in K county. Among them, 10 inpatients are arranged as the experimental group, and the rest 10 inpatients, as control group. The research period is from February 28, 2009 to August 21, 2009. For the experimental group, the group art therapy by way of reminiscence is carried out during 21 sessions once a week for 60 minutes per session. For both the experimental group and the control group, pre and post test is carried out, and then after four weeks, the further test is carried out. The measurement tools are KGDS(Korean Form of Geriatric Depression Scale) and KHTP. The data are analyzed by SPSS(for Windows) and SAS(ver. 9.1.2), by which one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and Scheffe test are carried out. The results are as follows. First, the average of the whole elderly depression levels is shown significantly in the post test and the further test between the two groups. The art therapy group is more effective on the reduction of depression of the elderly inpatients with geriatric illness than control group. Second, it is shown that there is significant difference between the two groups in the the elderly depression by KHTP. The art therapy group is more effective in the improvement of the reduction of the elderly depression in view of KHTP. In conclusion, the group art therapy is an efficient intervention which enables to reduce the depression of the elderly inpatients with geriatric illness.

Recently, cosmetic shops are facing a complicate economy situation and a great number of brands are attempting two-way communication with customers, not one-way communication. 'Brand' equity is important to deliver virtual brand mark as visual image. We have 4 steps for brand identity structure, and this study is about the first 'brand-awareness' and the second step 'brand-image'. We investigated the correlation between brand-awareness and brand-image after searching which spatial elements are highly effective to both steps as we designated 5 cosmetic shops. We already organized the means of spatial analysis and we separated into two elements, constructive and decorative. For constructive element, a shop needs a distinct ceiling and wall design, and for decorative element, strong brand image communication is required through showcase design. We proved that brand awareness and brand image have the correlation, which also can be in direct proportion, by regression analysis. The result of this study shows that improving brand awareness as the primary element for cosmetic road shop can be an effective way to enhance brand image.

Korean Identification card or driver license is usually used to verify one's identity in Korea. These are also used as an adult certification. Since the form of these ID card is an analog and it needs to be checked with naked eyes, it might be used maliciously. Someone who's got someone else's ID card can do other things. Therefore, it must be reported rapidly when ID card is lost or stolen. The most serious problem might be occurred when they do not recognize and report the loss. They might suffer from pecuniary or mental damage such as opening a mobile phone service, providing loan or credit card, opening a personal checking account, etc. Thus, this study suggests and compares the ways of avoiding these problems. First, the most effective way is to send the authorization code via mobile phones in consideration of build-up period and cost. The person in charge of business processing department using ID card sends the authorization code via registered mobile phone. The owners submits it to the person and their identifications are confirmed. Next effective way is that the person in charge of business processing department using ID card sends text messages via registered mobile phone. Lastly, the most ineffective way is to introduce and implement the electronic ID card ultimately even though it is expensive and takes a long time to build up the system.

We performed the experimental and the numerical study on the comparison of thermal comfort performance indices for cooling loads in the lecture room for 4 cases: Fan coil unit(FCU) or 4-way cassette air-conditioner is respectively operated with the ventilation system or without. We measured the velocity, the temperature distribution and predicted mean vote(PMV) value in the lecture room for 4 different air-conditioning methods. Effective draft temperature(EDT) and PMV were investigated to analyze the characteristics of two thermal comfort indices in the lecture room and to compare their values each other. From the results we knew that there is the similarity between PMV values and EDTs when the room is air-conditioned for cooling loads. It turned out that definition of the control temperature is very important when the EDT is calculated. Finally EDT should not be used to predict the accurate thermal comfort in case that the temperature and humidity are suddenly varied and the zone affected by the solar and inner wall radiation.

철근콘크리트 구조물의 전단거동은 수년간의 많은 연구에도 불구하고, 이론적으로 명확하게 규명하기에 어려운 문제중에 하나이다. 중공 슬래브의 휨강도와 전단강도는 중공부로 인하여 감소되기 때문에, 이에 따른 구조물의 성능을 예측하는 것은 중요한 문제라 할 수 있다. 현재 각국의 중공슬래브 전단설계기준은 실험에 의한 기준식을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 철근비에 따른 일방향 중공슬래브 전단강도 산정방법에 관한 연구를 수행하기 위해 실험결과를 분석하고, 전단강도 산정식들을 비교, 분석하였다.
