This Study aims to demonstrate how much flood vulnerability in urban area changed for the past 32 years by using the panel model. At the same time, this study strives to determine the primary factors and to construct an effective counter-plan by means of empirical research. After selecting research hypotheses based on considerations of issues concerning causes for urban flooding, their relevance is put to the test by conducting empirical research in individual case locations. This research verifies the four research hypotheses by using one-way error component regression model. In conclusion, this research has shown that urban land use and local characteristics act as significant flood determinants, with forests acting to reduce flood dangers. Moreover, constructing embankments can no longer represent a reliable flood control policy. The changes in future flood control policies need to incorporate local characteristics and to minimize natural destruction, so that humans and nature can coexist through environmentally friendly flood management policies.

There is explosive increase of traffic with economic growth and high level of civilization, and the increase causes so many complicated traffic problems. To solve these problem, the best way is expansion of road. bridges and some kind of traffic establishments. But this way need so many investment of time and money. So We must use the bounded roads and bounded establishments very effective way. To do so we have to gather the information about the road, vehicles, and etc. In this study, I will introduce you the way of gathering the information about vehicles, and transferring database server.

The use of the nickel free, high nitrogen stainless steel powder and nitriding during sintering of iron based materials have been shown as an alternative way to the conventional PM stainless steels containing nickel. Nitrogen as an alloying element for iron improves in an effective way the properties of sintered alloyed steels. The powder metallurgy route is a suitable way to introduce nitrogen into these alloys and, in particular, to produce high nitrogen (close to the solubility limit) stainless steels. The paper presents and discusses the nitriding behavior of nickel-free stainless steels produced by powder metallurgy method. Alloyed melt was atomized by nitrogen and in this way nitrogen was introduced into the powder. Further nitriding occurred during sintering in a nitrogen atmosphere. For comparison, compacts having the same composition as an alloyed powder were produced from elemental powders mixture. Sintering-nitriding behaviour of investigated materials has been controlled by dilatometry, chemical and X-Ray phase analysis and metallography. Mechanical properties of sintered compacts were also measured.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effective teaching method & content of consumer education perceived by high/vocational school students in daily life. The questionnaires were distributed to the 179 high school students. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t- test and one- way ANOVA with scheffe test. As the results of this study were followed: 1. The content of consumer education was organized into four areas: choice making, financial management, buymanship, consumer citizenship All areas of the content were perceived more effective in daily life by vocational school students Especially choice making and buymanship were perceived more effective than the other areas 2. The effective teaching method were affected by the kind of school and grade. 1) The lecture and the practical teaching were more effective methods perceived by vocational students 2) The discussion group teaching was more effective perceived by 3rd grade, but the leeture and the practical teaching perceived by 1st grade.

The research on urban forests in Chuncheon, so far, has mainly conducted in Ponguisan urban forest. Research on other urban forests in Chuncheon was scarce. Accordingly, in this study, the author chose the main urban forests in Chuncheon and tried to find a way of efficient establishment and management of urban forests in Chuncheon by field and questionnaire survey. The research findings, there were several reasons why effective management can not be implemented in the main urban forests in Chuncheon. To solve these problems and make an efficient establishment and management of urban forests in Chuncheon, the first way is to make forest management plans on the urban forest in Chuncheon and expand administrative organization, personnel and budget. Establishment and management of urban forests needs a practical, strengthened overall management system. The second way is to enhance the regional and functional characteristics for urban forest, expand the area of urban forests, and enhance management of Street trees. The third way is to designate Urban Nature Park or Urban Park for the main urban forests in Chuncheon and need to change the ownership of the urban forests by purchasing. The fourth way is to respond to Chuncheon citizen's preference and their way of utilization when create the urban forests in Chuncheon, expand convenience facilities, relaxation facilities as well.

The present research studied the effectiveness of specific strategy training in memory awareness on children's memory performance. The subjects were 60 children, 30 six-year-olds and 30 eight-year-olds. Free recall scores and use of a rehearsal strategy (exposure durations) based on Belmont & Butterfield (1971) were used to measure children's performance in three memory tasks. All subjects were randomly assigned to one of three experimental groups: the control group with no training, the chunking and rehearsal strategy training group, and the chunking and rehearsal strategy training combined with memory awareness strategy. The data were analyzed with two-way ANOVA, three-way ANOVA with repeated measures, and Student-Newman-Keuls post hoc test. There were significant differences among the three groups both in the free recall score and in the use of the rehearsal strategy. The mnemonic strategic training with memory awareness strategy was the most effective on both free recall and use of rehearsal strategy. The effects of the mnemonic strategy training with memory awareness strategy were more effective for the 8-year-olds than the 6-year-olds.

Railway takes an important role of transporting massive passenger and freight. Accidents which occur related to trains have a risk of serious loss of lives, so those accidents need to be controlled urgently Therefore moving picture transmission system is required which transmits exact information of moving picture of accident status to CTC and also communication line is also required with it. By using WTB line as a wayside transmission line, railway telephones, fax and train service information are provided to local offices. As transmission line improving project, optical cabling work is being processed by phases. Therefore optical fiber line is more effective way for a communicating way between stations than coaxial transmission line. This Paper considers connecting method when optical fibers is used for moving picture data transmission of train accidents and its problems.

Under competitive situation , many small manufacturing companies know that building effective information systems is the best way to get a competition. Therefore . lots of these companies are getting under way of building information systems. But they are having trouble building information systems because of many diffifcult factors like money technologies, education. Comparing to large firms , small manufacturing compaines are short of money and technology to get informatin systems. Considering of the difficulties of small manufacturing companies, organization supporting these companies will be able to play an important role to suggest the guideline to success of getting information systems. Many supporting organizations have instituted a scheme in which they can get valuable information relating to building information systems. This paper is focusing on the role of supporting organizations for information systems of small manufacturing companies. This study finds out what the difficulties of these companies trying to build information systems are and suggests the supporting ways of getting effective information systems.

Test vector reordering is a very effective way to reduce power consumption during test application. But, it is time-consuming and complicated processes, and it does not consider internal circuit structure, which may limit the effectiveness. In this paper, we order test vectors using fanout count of primary inputs that consider the internal circuit structure, which may reduce the switching activity. Then, we reorder test test vectors again by using Hamming distance between test vectors. We proposed FOVO algorithm to perform these two ideas. FOVO is an effective way to reduce power consumption during test application. The algorithm is applied to benchmark circuits and we get an average of 3.5% or more reduction of the power consumption.

This study focuses on building an effective environmental control system for the ubiquitous housing environment. In order to build an effective environmental control system that will provide a comfortable, pleasant, and convenient environment for residents, information on how people cognize the indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, information on human beings, and information of the space should be studied. Also more studies need to be done in which method would be the best way to integrate these informations that would affect the users in the most positive way. The current environmental control system only carries the information on providing separate information of environmental factors such as light, temperature, humidity, heat, and sound. However, it is difficult to understand the energy efficiency of an architectural element through this system. Therefore, this study proposes an energy monitoring system utilizing spatial information.
