Orthogonal Cross Cylinder mapping and segmentation based modeling methods have been implemented for constructing the image-based navigation system in this paper. The Orthogonal Cross Cylinder (OCC) is the object expressed by the intersection area that occurs when a cylinder is orthogonal with another. OCC mapping method eliminates the singularity effect caused in the environment maps and shows an almost even amount of area for the environment occupied by a single texel. A full-view image from a fixed point-of-view can be obtained with OCC mapping although it becomes difficult to express another image when the point-of-view has been changed. The OCC map is segmented according to the objects that form the environment and the depth value is set by the characteristics of the classified objects for the segmentation based modeling. This method can easily be implemented on an environment map and makes the environment modeling easier through extracting the depth value by the image segmentation. An environment navigation system with a full-view can be developed with these methods.
In this article photoluminescence of the $Al_2O_3:xCr_2O_3$ solid solutions prepared by solid state reaction method are represented. The effect of $Cr_2O_3$-activator concentration and heat treatment time on the PL characteristics have been discussed in conjunction with microstructure of phosphor samples. The $Al_2O_3:xCr_2O_3$ phosphors show the highest PL intensity at x=0.003 mole when the samples are reacted at $1600^{\circ}C$ for 5 h. The PL emission and absorption spectra show the maximum peaks at 698 nm and at 398 nm respectively. The CIE color coordinate is (x=0.646, y=0.316) at 0.003 mole $Cr_2O_3$, which value is very close to the NTSC coordinate of red color. This characteristic feature of $Al_2O_3:xCr_2O_3$ has been applied for an additive to improve the color characteristic of other red phosphor $LiEuW_2O_8$ which has a relatively poor color purity with an emission peak centered at 615 nm and with a CIE coordinate (x=0.530, y=0.280). The $Al_2O_3:0.003Cr_2O_3$ phosphor has been mixed with the $LiEuW_2O_8$ phosphor powder and the PL characteristics and CIE color coordinates are characterized. The $Al_2O_3:xCr_2O_3$ phosphor was found effective for improving the CRI (color rendering index) of $LiEuW_2O_8$ phosphor.

ZnS was chemically deposited as a buffer layer alternative to CdS, for use as a Cd-free buffer layer in $Cu(In_{1-x}Ga_x)Se_2$ (CIGS) solar cells. The deposition of a thin film of ZnS was carried out by chemical bath deposition, following which the structural and optical properties of the ZnS layer were studied. For the experiments, zinc sulfate hepta-hydrate ($ZnSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$), thiourea ($SC(NH_2)_2$), and ammonia ($NH_4OH$) were used as the reacting agents. The mole concentrations of $ZnSO_4$ and $SC(NH_2)_2$ were fixed at 0.03 M and 0.8 M, respectively, while that of ammonia, which acts as a complexing agent, was varied from 0.3 M to 3.5 M. By varying the mole concentration of ammonia, optimal values for parameters like optical transmission, deposition rate, and surface morphology were determined. For the fixed mole concentrations of $0.03M\;ZnSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ and $0.8M\;SC(NH_2)_2$, it was established that 3.0 M of ammonia could provide optimal values of the deposition rate (5.5 nm/min), average optical transmittance (81%), and energy band gap (3.81 eV), rendering the chemically deposited ZnS suitable for use as a Cd-free buffer layer in CIGS solar cells.

This study investigates enzyme stabilization in clay-rock bricks through mechanical tests and image processing. Appropriate soil mixtures were designed using clay/crushed rock with ratios of 70/30, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, and 30/70 by weight to verify the strength of the enzyme brick and soil compaction. The maximum compressive and flexural strengths in the 60/40 ratio mixture were found to be 5MPa and 1.25MPa, respectively; however, the maximum dry unit weight of $2.073g/cm^3$ was found in the 50/50 clay/gravel ratio mixture. Generally, the strength of the enzyme brick was improved by 27%. The paper concludes that in order to achieve optimal strength, soils should be mixed with the 60/40 clay/gravel ratio, which provides an adequate strength, while 50/50 ratio should be used for achieving more compaction. The SEM-EDX observation and Matlab image processing verified how the bond structure appeared after enzyme stabilization. It was found that enzymes created bond with the clay soil and the crushed rock for rendering strength and stability.
The background of single animal figures was originated from those northern mounted nomadic groups, which was Scythe style Culture. The art of the nomads working in the Scythian idiom was small in size and essentially decorative in intention, yet practically every object which can be associated with any unit in this group of people possesses many of the attributes essential to a real work of art. Clarity of conception, purity of form, co-ordination of rhythm and balance, and not least, an understanding and respect for the material employed were triumphantly blended by the Eurasian nomads to produce a distinctive style. In Scythian art the multitude of animal representations well illustrates the reoccupation of this nomadic people with animals in their environment. Usually only wild animals are represented. Commonly depicted are: stags and deer, lions or other large cats, eagles, birds heads (perhaps of ravens), griffins, snakes, hares, fish, goats, rams, boars, moose (elk), yak, sheep and bears. The occasional exception to the wild animal rule is domesticated horses-important because the Scythians were horse bleeders and their whole culture revolved around their dependence on the horse. The nomads had little reason to create object in honour of gods or men, but they had an instinct for beauty and the wish to surround themselves with the animal forms in which they had come to delight The Scytians tried to combine in a single rendering all the salient points of the animal they were delineating. They archived considerable success in the difficult task of showing in a single image the various and often incompatible poses assumed by a single animal in the course of its life. Zoomorphic motifs were used not simple for decorative effect, but to trim the object into amulets, with magical power to assist in hunting, and to protect the owner from harm.

In hot strip rolling, a capability for precisely predicting roll force is crucial for sound process control. In the past, on-line prediction models have been developed mostly on the basis of Orowan's theory and its variation. However, the range of process conditions in which desired prediction accuracy could be achieved was rather limited, mainly due to many simplifying assumptions inherent to Orowan's theory. As far as the prediction accuracy is concerned, a rigorously formulated finite element(FE) process model is perhaps the best choice. However, a FE process model in general requires a large CPU time, rendering itself inadequate for on-line purpose. In this report, we present a FE-based on-line prediction model applicable to precision process control in a finishing mill(FM). Described was an integrated FE process model capable of revealing the detailed aspects of the thermo-mechanical behavior of the roll-strip system. Using the FE process model, a series of process simulation was conducted to investigate the effect of diverse process variables on some selected non-dimensional parameters characterizing the thermo-mechanical behavior of the strip. Then, it was shown that an on-line model for the prediction of roll force could be derived on the basis of these parameters. The prediction accuracy of the proposed model was examined through comparison with measurements from the hot strip mill.
These studies aimed to determine how lighting might be used to improve feed intake and reduce aggressive behavior in newly weaned pigs. To examine whether this objective could be achieved an experiment was conducted to compare performance, behavior and body condition of weaners over 17-45 days, provided similar lighting quality (i.e. color temperature, color rendering index and lighting distribution) after weaning that piglets experienced prior to weaning. Triphosphor (TP) lighting to simulate daylight was provided during the day while at night, Pascal red (PR) lighting was provided to simulate the night-light piglets previously had received from infrared heating lamps. This treatment was compared to weaners provided conventional cool-white fluorescent light during the day only. Weaners on treatment lighting from 17-45 days of age showed no improvement in body weight or feed conversion at 24, 31, 38 and 45 days compared to the controls. There was, however, a significant improvement (p<0.05) in feed intake in the first week of weaning for weaners provided TP/PR lighting. Over the first 3 days of weaning, pigs on TP/PR lighting showed an increase (p<0.05) in the incidence of ear chewing but reduced (p<0.05) levels of nosing the abdomen of other pigs and reduced (p<0.05) occurrences of being stood on by other pigs. Females exhibited more (p<0.05) mounting and nosing behaviors and rubbing the heads of other pigs than males. On the other hand, males engaged in more (p<0.05) fighting, nipping, ear chewing and standing on other pigs compared to females. Pigs provided PR lighting on the first night of weaning engaged in higher (p<0.05) incidences of nosing and tail sucking behaviors, more (p<0.05) head thrusting, fighting and ear chewing compared to control pigs. The body condition of weaners provided the TP/PR lighting treatment was significantly poorer (p<0.05) compared to weaners on control lighting. In conclusion there was no improvement in production performance of weaners provided new technology lighting apart from the improvement in feed intake in the first week weaners were exposed to the TP/PR lighting.

This paper introduces a device providing close local lighting to the affected part, where the operation-purpose astral lamp alone cannot shed light directly, in an operation room of hospitals or clinics, which helps clinical doctors perform safe treatment of the affected part deep inside a human body. This medical assisting lighting is a device necessary to prevent fatal operation failures, which can occur with minute operation processes, such as tumor removal or angiorrhaphy. The components, such as the light source and power supply were designed to be low power consuming and small in size, have a narrow angle lens was used to increase the light spreading effect and focused illumination. The end-caps of the light transmission device using an optical cable and the lighting device were designed in the waterproof type to enable disinfection of these devices after use for the next patients. According to the measurement of the light source properties made after development of the retractor lighting device, the illumination intensity was 490 lux, the brightness was $11,550cd/m^2$, general color rendering index was 78, color temperature was 11,000K, and the intensity distribution was even, which were confirmed to be adequate for medical assisting local lighting.
The purpose of this paper is to develop a new type of RGB lighting pipeline that can save time in animation production. After identifying the problems of the current method, the researchers studied 8 steps through new methods and comparative analysis. A method of implementing a graphic image lighting effect by the RGB lighting pipeline according to the current method is to create a render layer for each light set and a set of digital light separated by texture, Three types of written information can be stored in one layer and graphic image, and the accuracy and precision of color correction can be improved. Through this study, we propose the new and improved RGB lighting pipeline according to the characteristics of the work and the industries.

Rhizosphere microorganisms possessing phytase activity are considered important for rendering phytate-phosphorus (P) available to plants. In the present study, the Citrobacter braakii phytase gene (appA) was overexpressed in rhizobacteria possessing plant growth promoting (PGP) traits, for increasing their potential as bioinoculants. AppA was cloned under the lac promoter in the broadhost-range expression vector pBBR1MCS-2. Transformation of the recombinant construct pCBappA resulted in high constitutive phytase activity in all of the eight rhizobacterial strains belonging to genera Pantoea, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Pseudomonas (two strains), Rhizobium (two strains), and Ensifer that were studied. Transgenic rhizobacterial strains were found to display varying levels of phytase activity, ranging from 10-folds to 538-folds higher than the corresponding control strains. The transgenic derivative of Pseudomonas fluorescens CHA0, a well-characterized plant growth promoting rhizobacterium, showed the highest expression of phytase (~8 U/mg) activity in crude extracts. Although all transformants showed high phytase activity, rhizobacteria having the ability to secrete organic acid showed significantly higher release of P from Ca-phytate in buffered minimal media. AppA overexpressing rhizobacteria showed increased P content, and dry weight (shoot) or shoot/ root ratio of mung bean (Vigna radiata) plants, to different extents, when grown in semisolid agar (SSA) medium containing Na-phytate or Ca-phytate as the P sources. This is the first report of the overexpression of phytase in rhizobacterial strains and its exploitation for plant growth enhancement.
