The purpose of this study is to develop and apply a teaching-learning plan of apartment house class to improve middle school students' empathy for home economics education and to verify its effect. The study was conducted in five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation using the ADDIE model. In the analysis phase, the study set learning objectives after analyzing how community housing is dealt with in the 2015 revised home economics curriculum and 12 current technology and home economics textbooks. In the design and development stage, in order to evaluate the validity of the experts and to improve the empathy ability, the study goal design, the composition of the learning elements, the development of the learning materials, and the pre and post-questionnaire for the students were developed. In the implementation stage, the empathic ability evaluation was carried out before and after the beginning of the first class by applying the teaching-learning process plan of the 8th class. In the evaluation stage, we examined whether the teaching-learning process developed in this study has a significant effect on empathy ability by evaluating the pre-post difference of empathy ability. As a result of examining the results of the pre - and post - evaluation of empathy ability for the results of this study, both cognitive and communicative factors were improved, and the apartment house class had a significant effect on the improvement of empathy ability.

As the need for quantitative qualities of IT investment performance heightens, numerous research organizations are developing various measurement methods for the quantitative evaluation and its currency value conversion. Corporations utilizing these methods to evaluate IT investment performance are gradually increasing. However, working-level staff in the corporations that have introduced the quantitative evaluation can not assure if the evaluation sufficiently reflects the actual effect provided by IT since the results arising from the conversion of currency value can't be visibly confirmed. This study tries to identify whether the quantitative evaluation of IT investment performance can be explained in terms of the level of consumer satisfaction proven by the qualitative evaluation by analyzing the level of consumer satisfaction and quantitative evaluation of a case company and identifying the correlation between them. As the result of the case study, the following points have been concluded. Firstly, the currency value of IT effect correlates with the level of consumer satisfaction. Secondly, in order to come up with a rational currency value of IT effect, developing an indicator as well as managing data on currency conversion that will enable the internal system's efficiency to become more quantitative is essential. Thirdly, IT ROI is not appropriate to compare the performance between systems and is utilized as a measurement standard for each system's performance and efficiency. Lastly, quantitative evaluation is still inadequate in the evaluation of the system's strategic side, and consumer satisfaction can be utilized as a supplementary method.

Background: Ginsenoside Rb1, a bioactive component isolated from the Panax ginseng, acts as a remedy to prevent myocardial injury. However, it is obscure whether the cardioprotective functions of Rb1 are related to the regulation of endogenous metabolites, and its potential molecular mechanism still needs further clarification, especially from a comprehensive metabolomics profiling perspective. Methods: The mice model of acute myocardial ischemia (AMI) and oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced cardiomyocytes injury were applied to explore the protective effect and mechanism of Rb1. Meanwhile, the comprehensive metabolomics profiling was conducted by high-performance liquid chromatography and quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q/TOF-MS) and a tandem liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Results: Rb1 treatment profoundly reduced the infarct size and attenuated myocardial injury. The metabolic network map of 65 differential endogenous metabolites was constructed and provided a new inspiration for the treatment of AMI by Rb1, which was mainly associated with mitophagy. In vivo and in vitro experiments, Rb1 was found to improve mitochondrial morphology, mitochondrial function and promote mitophagy. Interestingly, the mitophagy inhibitor partly attenuated the cardioprotective effect of Rb1. Additionally, Rb1 markedly facilitated the phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase α (AMPKα), and AMPK inhibition partially weakened the role of Rb1 in promoting mitophagy. Conclusions: Ginsenoside Rb1 protects acute myocardial ischemia injury through promoting mitophagy via AMPKα phosphorylation, which might lay the foundation for the further application of Rb1 in cardiovascular diseases.

Product harm crises can distort long standing favorable equality perceptions, tarnish a company's reputation, cause major revenue and market-share losses, lead to costly product recalls, and devastate a carefully nurtured brand equity. However, in spite of the devastating impact of product-harm crises, little systematic research exists to asses its marketing consequences. So, this study focuses on the negative publicity about companies and their products. Namely, this study presented how inclusion effect supported the relationship between negative publicity and consumers' response, market performance. According to the results, after negativity publicity was happened, it was appeared that the negativity image spread into other product lines(spillover effect; inclusion effect). Also, when they contact with the negative publicity, respondents negatively evaluated both production evaluation and corporate evaluation. And, in that case of the products with negativity publicity, compared with refutation strategy(defense strategy<study 2>), improving strategy(correction notice) had positive influence on recovery of sales, product evaluation, and corporate evaluation. Finally, as the reaction time toward negativity publicity was faster, the market performance got worse. Especially, according to two-way interaction, when the reaction time was fast, the difference between refutation strategy(defense strategy<study 2>) and improving strategy was not existed in product evaluation and corporate evaluation. However, when the reaction time was late(after a month), improving strategy had more positive evaluation than defense strategy in product evaluation, and corporate evaluation.

Recently, the speed of a train has been increased. So the trains are being exposed to wind more severely than before. Because of the operation of high speed trains and lightweight of the train, risks of train derailment have being increased. In this study, aerodynamic effects of a newly designed high speed train, HEMU-400x, are evaluated. For aerodynamic effect evaluation, analysis method is selected by examining the safety standards for high speed train. The condition of aerodynamic effects is selected by adverse effect conditions. In order to calculate $C_s$ coefficients, numerical analysis is conducted. Using $C_s$ coefficients, the side force is calculated. Through dynamics analysis, derailment and wheel unloading are obtained. Using these results, derailment evaluation is performed.

This study aimed to analyze the effects of handbills from the food-service industry on the marketing performance. In this study, an independent variable was one of the evaluation factors of handbills while performance variables were general satisfaction of handbills and repurchase intention. For the analysis methods, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed with SPSS 12.0. As a result of analyses, it was revealed that general satisfaction of handbills by advertisement evaluation factors was partly significant. Second, it was found that a product purchase intention by advertisement evaluation factors was not mostly influential. Even though the findings of this study, it is expected that this study, which attempted an exploratory study on handbills of the food-service industry, will be used for future advertisement analyses of the food-service industry and as basic information on the advertisement effect.

The present study proposes the integrity evaluation model for a straight pipe with local wall thinning defect, which reflects the characteristics of training shape and loading condition in the Piping of nuclear power plant. For this purpose, a series of finite element analyses are performed under various defect geometries and loading conditions, and real pipe experiment data performed previously is employed. The model includes the effect of thinning length as well as thinning depth and width, and also it considers the combined loading effect between internal pressure and bending moment. The proposed model has been validated using the results of finite element analysis and pipe experiment data. The results indicate that the proposed model provides more reliable predictions of pipe failure than the current existing model, in terms of accuracy, consistency, and conservativeness of results.

This study investigates the role of suprasegmental features with respect to the intelligibility of Korean-spoken English judged by Korean and English raters as being good or bad. It has been hypothesized that Korean raters would have different evaluations from English native raters and that the effect may vary depending on the types of suprasegmental factors. Four Korean and four English native raters, respectively, took part in the evaluation of 14 Korean subjects' English speaking. The subjects read a given paragraph. The results show that the evaluation for 'intelligibility' is different for the two groups and that the difference comes from their perception of L2 English suprasegmentals.

Defense systems are needed to prevent catastrophic failures of a power grid due to cascaded events. Cascaded events can be occurred by power flow overload. Especially, it is the most dangerous problem that overload line is outage, because it can make the power system face danger of cascaded. In this paper, vulnerability evaluation for monitoring wide are outage is proposed using by configuration information of transmission systems. This method of vulnerability evaluation is considered direct effect and indirect effect of power flow, especially overload. What is more, it can be used when the configuration of power system changes, as simple fault occurs or maintenance of facility. In the case studies, the estimation and simulation network have been testified and analysed in PSSE and C programming.

This study deals with the evaluation of bending fatigue strength in shaving gears, We manufactured gears using manufacture processes that are currently used in most gears manufacturing companies. The test gears are hobbed then the tooth surface are treated by a combination of shaving carbonizing and shot peening. The constant stress amplitude fatigue test is performed by using an electrohydraulic servo-controlled pulsating tester. The S-N curves are obtained and illustrated. In this study we investigated the effect of shaving process and shot peening on fatigue strength, The effect of shaving process ad shot peening on the fatigue strength is evaluated quantitatively,.
