A Designing for Successful Learning on the Web

  • Web-based learning is currently an active area of research and a considerable number of studies have been conducted on its application in the learning environment. However, in spite of many advances in the research and development of the educational contents, questions about how the environment affects learning remains largely unanswered. In this article, we propose a Web-based learning environment to improve the educational effect. The goal of this article is not to provide a complete system to support Web-based learning but rather to describe some meaningful strategies and fundamental design concepts that utilize information technologies to support teaching and learning.

Design and Implementation of Scent-Supported Educational Content using Arduino

  • Due to the development of science and technology in the 4th Industrial Revolution, a variety of content is being developed and utilized through educational courses linked to digital textbooks. Students use smart devices to engage in realistic virtual learning experiences, interacting with the content in digital textbooks. However, while many realistic contents offer visual and auditory effects like 3D VR, AR, and holograms, olfactory content that evokes actual sensations has not yet been introduced. Therefore, in this paper, we designed and implemented 4D educational content by adding the sense of smell to existing content. This implemented content was tested in classrooms through a curriculum-based evaluation. Classes taught with olfactory-enhanced content showed a higher percentage of correct answers compared to those using traditional audio-visual materials, indicating improved understanding.

스마트러닝 환경에서 모바일 콘텐츠가 학습자의 학습만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Mobile Contents on the learner's learning satisfaction in the Smart Learning Environment)

  • Since the world entered the age called "Smart Revolution", there has also been a lot of changes in the field of education. In educational environment, there is a growing interest in smart learning based on mobile contents, with the development of Smart Devices and ubiquitous technology. This paper is about a research on what effects smart learning has on leaner side when learners make active use of mobile contents in this age of Smart Revolution. First, we embodied teaching plans for some practical classes in forms of mobile contents using M-bizmaker. After the learning process based on the embodied contents for students, we analyzed the survey results on 4 sections-their use of apps, screen composition, technical support, interactions. We also studied the results of a questionnaire on 4 sections-contents, information offering, feedback systems, learner assessment-to evaluate their satisfaction. The research suggests that learner satisfaction can be improved with smart learning based on mobile contents embodied for leaners.

건강가정사 역량강화 코칭 교육프로그램 개발 기초연구 (A Basic Study on the Development of a Coaching Education Program Enhancing the Capability Training of a Healthy Family Specialist)

  • Healthy family specialists, who must be equipped with comprehensive and specific knowledge on the health of families with an extensive span of duty, should receive continued education for enhancing their capabilities. In this context, this study will focus on a coaching program that brings excellent result in helping healthy family specialists to set up a vision, exercising leadership and improve their personal relations, etc. with a focus on the potential and possibility of persons and organizations. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the present condition of the existing reeducation program for healthy family specialists conducted by the Central Healthy Family Support Center was grasped. This was done through an analysis on the educational programs for nurturing professional coaches executed by many educational institutions in an effort to propose the coaching education program for enhancing the capabilities of healthy family specialists. The contents related to instruction, time, qualifications, etc. proposed in the model developed through the considered educational program could be used in the future for the education of healthy family specialists so that they may enhance their capabilities.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 임상실습교육 시 임상실습지도자의 교수효율성 및 임상실습만족도에 관한 연구 (Study on the teaching efficiency and satisfaction levels of clinical practice instructors during clinical practice training for some dental hygienists and students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the is to investigate the teaching effectiveness of clinical practice instructors and the satisfaction level of dental hygiene majoring students in clinical practice training. Methods : Subjects were second and third grade 480 dental hygiene majoring students in Seoul and Gangwondo. Except 48 incomplete answers, 438 data were analyzed. Questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, teaching of clinical practice instructors, educational content, organization al skills, leadership, learning environment, evaluation skills and clinical practice satisfaction level. Results : 1. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.832) was found between teaching effectiveness and clinical practice satisfaction. A positive correlation more than 0.50 was found between the clinical practice satisfaction, encouragement and support for teaching effectiveness, educational contents, and leadership. 2. There were significant correlations between the encouragement and support (B = 0.209), educational content (B = 0.199), leadership ability (B = 0.257) and ability to create an environment (B = 0.084), evaluation ability (B = 0.083). Conclusions : Teaching effectiveness of the clinical practice instructors had influences on the clinical practice satisfaction. It is necessary to connect clinical practice instructions with satisfaction towards clinical practice to the students.

한국 대학에서 유학생이 겪는 학습의 어려움 분석 - 중국인 유학생을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Analysis for Learning Difficulties of Foreign Students in University of South Korea - Focusing on Chinese Foreign Students -)

  • In recently, attracting foreign students are very active in lots of universities of South Korea. According to trend, foreign students who are studying in Korea have increased steadily. The programs to support and help them for adaptation of the university and academic success are rising though, on account of language barrier, it seems not easy to adapt to those people who finished studying korean language training that roles incubator and entered their major. More over, to expect personal training for them by professors is also difficult because of short of educational or executive and bankroll support in reality. Therefore it became a social issue about managing foreign students of South Korea. This study aimed to analyse the difficulties of learning from chinese international student's view. For this, we analysed focus group interview which intended 16 chinese foreign students and the collected data through reflective journal record using Nvivo program. In the results of focus group interview, learning difficulties of chinese foreign students are itemized 4 sections of personal aspect, environmental aspect, educational contents' aspect and educational methodic aspect. It is subdivided 11 sections and identified of requirement for studying support corresponding each part of difficulties. This research finding will be able to expect to provide a suggestion to looking for options for learning support plan of chinese foreign students.

암환자의 긍정성 증진을 위한 블렌디드 건강코칭 교육프로그램 프로토타입 개발 및 적용 (Developing and Pilot-Testing Blended Learning Program Prototypes for Health Coaching to Support Positive Growth of Cancer Patients)

  • This study aimed to develop and pilot-test educational program prototypes of training health coaches to help cancer patients overcome crises and create positive growth. For this purpose, the educational contents and methods of the blended learning program prototypes were derived through learner needs and literature analysis. The prototypes, which consist of introducing of health management and health information and understanding and practice of basic coaching and health coaching, were developed to integrate with four sessions of face-to-face, off-line classes, training practices through 12 tele-classes, and use of online learning system. The prototypes were conducted and pilot-tested by a total of 35 students selected through the document screening and the interview. After participating in the blended learning program, learners expressed greater overall satisfaction with each session program (average score = 4.36, with 5 being most satisfied), satisfaction with learning contents (average score=4.42) satisfaction with course preparation (average score = 4.26) and satisfaction with lecture materials (average score = 4.19). The results of this study show that a systematic and integrative approach for designing a blended learning program can be useful for various educational needs in health and medical fields. In the future, empirical studies are expected to see how these curricula are actually implemented and assess whether the intended learning outcomes are achieved.

과학기술인력의 기업가역량 강화를 위한 교육요구도 분석 (Analysis of Educational Needs for Strengthening Entrepreneurial Competencies of Science and Technology Personnel)

  • 본 연구는 과학기술 인력의 기업가역량을 수요자 관점에서 평가하면서 현재 어떤 역량이 부족하고 새롭게 보완해야 할지를 교육요구도(Borich's Needs Assessment Model) 조사를 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 산업계가 기대하는 역량 수준 대비 현재 평가되는 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났고 특히 팀워킹, 문제해결능력, 의사소통, 추상적사고, 직무관련지식 등의 순서로 기대요구수준이 높았으며, 인내력, 프로젝트 지식, 유연성, 자율성, 리더십, 위험감수, 사업화 능력의 현재 수준이 평가항목 전체의 평균보다 낮게 나타났다. 연구를 통해 과학기술인력의 기업가역량 강화를 위한 교육에서 현재 가장 필요한 부분은 문제해결 능력, 팀워킹, 직무관련 지식, 추상적 사고, 의사소통 강화 등의 순서로 나타났다. 이는 조직 내에서 다양하게 접하는 업무 이슈와 현안을 팀 내 협력과 자신의 직무관련 지식을 활용하여 해결해 나가는데 교육의 우선순위를 두어야 하는 것을 말해주고 있다. 특히 이 과정에서 문제를 해결하는 논리적 사고, 결과를 타인에게 효과적으로 전달하는 부분이 함께 보완되어야 하겠다.

사회맞춤형 LINC+ 육성사업에 따른 조리실습교육환경이 교육만족도, 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Cooking Practice Educational Environment on Education Satisfaction, Employment Preparation Behavior according to LINC+ Fostering Project)

  • 본 연구는 사회맞춤형 LINC+ 육성사업에 따른 조리실습교육환경의 요인과 교육만족도, 취업준비행동 간의 영향관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구의 표본추출은 현재 사회맞춤형 LINC+ 육성사업을 시행하고 있는 대학 중 외식·조리 관련 학과 재학생 및 졸업생을 대상으로 편의표본추출(convenience sampling)을 사용하여 설문조사를 진행하였다. 조사 기간은 2020년 6월1일부터 1달간 진행되었으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 통계적인 유의성을 분석하여 가설검증을 실시하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 조리실습환경의 하위 요인인 교육프로그램, 교수자능력, 조리시설은 교육만족도에 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교육만족도와 취업준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 조리실습교육환경의 하위 요인인 교육프로그램과 교수자능력은 취업준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구 결과를 통해 관련 전공에서의 재정지원 사업 수행에 있어서 정책 및 교육환경, 취업, 만족도에 관한 기초자료로 제공할 것으로 기대하며, 향후 전문대학 재정지원 사업 관련 연구를 수행하는 연구자들에게 이론적 근거와 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

푸드뱅크 서비스 이용자의 만족도 영향요인 (경기지역 이용자를 중심으로) (An Analysis of the Influence Factors of Satisfaction of Food Bank Service Users (Focusing on Users in Gyeonggi-do Province))

  • 본 연구는 푸드뱅크 이용자의 만족도를 서비스 만족도, 음식만족도, 시설·환경 만족도로 구분하고 영향요인을 다중회귀분석을 통해서 도출하여 서비스 질 개선을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 주요연구결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 서비스만족도는 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 찾아볼 수 없었다. 둘째, 음식만족도의 경우 지원 빈도가 낮을수록, 조리된 음식의 경우 만족도가 높게 나타났는데 이는 음식제공 빈도보다는 조리된 음식을 통해 결식문제를 적절하게 해소하는 것이 이용자에게 중요하다는 해석이 가능하다. 셋째, 시설환경만족도와 관련하여, 학력이 높을수록, 월 소득이 낮을수록, 지원 후 식비지출액이 높을수록 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학력이 높은 이용자는 정보안내, 서비스 제공시간대, 시설 및 환경의 위생을 중요하게 생각하며, 월소득이 낮고 지원 받은 후에도 식비지출액이 높은 이용자들은 결식문제 해소를 위해 푸드뱅크 서비스가 절실함을 유추해 볼 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 서비스 이용자의 여건을 고려하여 결식문제가 효과적으로 해소될 수 있도록 이용자 중심의 서비스로 발전되어야 할 필요성이 있음을 강조하였다.
