내.외과계 간호사의 통증 관리에 대한 지식 및 태도 (Pain Management Knowledge and Attitude of Internal Medicine and Surgery Stream Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the sought to identify the pain management knowledge and attitude of nurses in internal medicine and surgery stream wards and intensive care units to obtain basic information needed for improved pain control. Method: Data was collected through self-reported questionnaires and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA using SPSS Win 12.0. Results: Pain management knowledge score averaged 51.1 out of 100, with significant differences evident depending on age, marital status, educational level, position, total work career, working department and cancer care-giving experience. Pain management attitude score averaged 2.9 out of 4, and significant differences were evident depending on age, marital status, educational level, position, total work career, working department, cancer care-giving experience, education experience and number of patients treated. Conclusion: Further studies are necessary to develop effective nursing knowledge and attitude education programs and evaluation such as discussion by cases, workshops, system of expert help for uncontrollable pain or a multi-disciplinary pain management task force. In addition, patient satisfaction level with pain management should be assessed and the responses reflected practically.

Effects of Collective Promotion on the Attainment of Goals of Basic Education in English-Speaking Primary Schools in Cameroon

  • This study aims at investigating the effects of collective promotion on the attainment of literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills by primary school pupils and also to find out if the policy of collective promotion meets its objective of minimization of wastage in basic education. The study used written tests for pupils in the final class (Level II, class 6) to collect data in some selected English-speaking primary schools in Meme Division of Cameroon. Descriptive statistics and a one way ANOVA were used for analyzing data. The results revealed that the policy of collective promotion negatively affects the attainment of literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills of pupils in Kumba, Meme Division. Teachers who assisted in the study through personal communication with the researcher argued that collective promotion in basic education does not achieve its objective of minimizing wastage of educational resources; neither does it positively improve the literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills of pupils. This study recommends that the policy of collective promotion can be revisited and that focus be placed not only on minimizing wastage of resources but also on investing on quality education system so as to equip the would-be leaders of tomorrow with skills, knowledge, and attitudes which will make them functional and responsible citizens in their society.

공공도서관의 실내현황 및 사용자 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interior Conditions of Public Libraries and Satisfaction of User)

  • This study examined the various functions of public libraries, as well as user satisfaction and needs. We targeted 6 public libraries in the Seoul and Gyunggi area. After 280 library users were surveyed, the collected data were analyzed with an SPSS for Win 14.0 statistics program, where we used frequency, percentage, mean, T-test, One-way ANOVA, and Duncan's test. The major findings were as follows: 1) Half of the users used educational functional space, mainly in the 10-20 age group, who used it for educational purposes as a student or to prepare for getting a job. 2) There were gaps between the furniture arrangement and user preference since most libraries used a rigid system while users preferred a more flexible arrangement. 3) Space by space, public library satisfaction levels differed according to the users' gender and age. Satisfaction of the digital information room scored high, especially for users in their forties. Since public library users are diverse and require various functions, library interiors should be planned accordingly in terms of furniture arrangement and interior design. In particular, there was a gap between satisfaction by age groups, so libraries must account for community needs by considering the age group demographics of their surrounding areas.

교육행정정보시스템의 운영실태분석 (Analysis on the Operation Status of National Education Information System)

  • 본 연구는 NEIS의 운영실태를 분석하여 보다 효율적인 NEIS 운영방안을 모색함으로써 시스템에 대한 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 방법으로 초 중 고등학교 교사들에게 5가지 부분(C/S에 대한 인식, NEIS 도입 및 추진과정, 교무 학사 세부업무별 만족도, 기능 및 효율성, 보안 및 기술적 문제)으로 나누어 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 그 결과를 분석하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, C/S도입 초기에도 논란은 많았지만 기능면에 만족하고 있었으며, 서버 다운으로 인해 업무에 차질을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전자정부 추진사항으로서의 NEIS 도입은 일선교사들의 의견을 충분히 수렴하지 않은 상태에서 너무 성급하게 시행되었다는 견해가 많았다. 앞으로 정상적으로 정착될 것이라고 기대하는 측면이 높았다. 셋째, NEIS 교무 학사 세부업무별 만족도 조사에서는 대체적으로 긍정적 반응이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 대부분의 교사들이 NEIS에 대한 기능을 알고 있고, 기존 C/S보다 편리하다고 인식하고 있었다. NEIS를 사용함으로써 업무가 경감되었다고 느끼는 교사들은 적었으나, 출결 등 통계처리에 수월하다는 응답이 높았다. 다섯째, NEIS는 개인정보유출과 보안에 문제가 있으나, 정보화 시대에 꼭 필요한 시스템이라고 인식하고 있는 교사들이 많았다. 따라서 NEIS의 인권침해의 가능성은 간과할 수 없지만 시스템의 지속적인 보안이 기술적 법제도적으로 병행되어 더욱 효율적인 시스템으로 거듭날 수 있도록 심층적인 연구가 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다.

한국과 미국의 학업부진학생 지원 보충수업에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Supplemental Educational Services in the United States and Korea)

  • 학업부진학생들을 위한 보충수업(SES: Supplemental Educational Services)은 모든 학생들의 기초학력을 보장함으로써 공교육의 질적 수준을 높이려는 정책적 차원의 노력이다. 특히 저소득층 학생들일수록 학력 수준이 떨어지는 경향이 있다는 점을 고려한다면, 이들을 위한 보충수업은 사회적 불평등을 해소하기 위해서도 반드시 필요한 조치라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 어떤 기준으로 학업부진 학생들을 선별하고, 누가, 어떤 종류의 보충수업을 제공할 것이냐는 간단한 문제가 아니다. 특히 한국과 미국은 학업 성취와 학교의 책무성을 강조하던 신자유주의적 정책에서 벗어나 학업부진 학생들에 대한 새로운 지원 방안을 모색하고 있다. 이러한 과도기적 상황에 주목하면서 본 연구는 역사적 배경과 현황, 성과, 주요 쟁점 등의 측면에서 양국의 보충수업을 비교하고 있다. 연구 결과, 한국과 미국 모두 학업부진 학생들의 학력향상에 주안점을 두고 있지만, 한국에 비해 미국 학교들의 보충수업 효과는 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한국의 경우 기본적으로 모든 학업부진 학생들에게 보충수업 참여기회가 제공되고 있지만, 미국의 경우 수혜자의 비율이 갈수록 줄어들고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 현상의 일차적 원인은 예산이 제한되어 있는 상태에서, 민간 업체에 보충수업을 위탁하는 미국식 시장주의 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로, 본 연구는 학업부진학생들을 위한 보다 효과적인 보충수업 지원 방안을 제안하고 있다.

내부마케팅이 치과위생사의 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Internal Marketing on Customer Orientation of Dental Hygienists)

  • 이번 연구는 2014년 8월 1일부터 2014년 8월 20일까지 부산, 울산, 경남지역 소재 12개 치과병의원에 근무하는 치과위생사 191명을 대상으로 하였다. 이번 연구는 치과위생사들의 내부마케팅과 고객지향성의 관련성을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 치과마케팅의 고객만족을 위한 차별화된 경영전략 수립의 일환으로 내부마케팅을 제안하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 제공한다는 의의가 있다. 이번 연구에서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 치과위생사의 내부마케팅 하부요인별 인식도는 교육훈련이 3.88로 가장 높았으며, 권한위임 3.35, 내부커뮤니케이션 3.10, 경영층 지원 3.05, 보상시스템 2.79의 순으로 조사되었다. 치과위생사의 고객지향성에 가장 높은 상관관계를 보인 내부마케팅 하부요인은 교육훈련(r=0.381), 권한위임(r=0.380), 내부커뮤니케이션(r=0.216), 보상시스템(r=0.201), 경영층 지원(r=0.189)의 순으로 나타났다. 또한, 내부마케팅의 하부요인 중 교육훈련(${\beta}=0.277$), 권한위임(${\beta}=0.276$)의 순으로 고객지향성에 유의한 영향력을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 치과의료 기관의 지속적인 경쟁우위를 위해 고객에 대한 긍정적 태도와 서비스 마인드를 높여 고객을 만족시키고자 하는 고객지향성 향상의 방안으로, 외부고객뿐만 아니라 내부고객인 직원을 대상으로 이루어지는 내부마케팅이 관련성이 있음을 보여준 이번 연구 결과가 향후 차별화된 치과 경영정책 수립에 필요한 기초자료로 도움이 되리라 생각한다.

KPNFA 운영 및 발전 방향 모색을 위한 설문조사 연구 (A Survey of Operation and Development Direction in KPNFA)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to survey the operation and development direction in KPNFA. Method: The participants of this study consisted of physical therapists who had a KPNFA membership. The satisfaction levels for each item (KPNFA impression, educational programs, and clinical application) were measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The survey was performed during June and July 2018. The total questionnaire was comprised of 648 samples. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation analysis were used to compare the general characteristics and all items. Results: In the questionnaire, the impression of KPNFA was 69.21, the instructor specialization in the educational programs was 74.22, and helpful interventions for clinical application scored 74.96. KPNFA's image is competitive; friendly items scored the highest, and operation suitability and communication scored the lowest. The most important factor of the educational program was the quality of the instructors. The most helpful item was the education intervention program. The nervous system was applied to the patient with the highest response. The age of subjects showed a significant positive correlation with KPNFA impression, KPNFA branch impression, and branch problem solving. The work duration of subjects showed a significant negative correlation with instructor specialization. A regular member duration of subjects showed a negative correlation with teaching method, instructor specialization. Conclusions: The KPNFA survey was performed for the first time. In the future, this data will be utilized as the basis for KPNFA policy.

가정폭력에 대한 기혼여성의 배우자 처벌에 대한 견해 (Married Women's Opinion of the Spouse's Punishment in Domestic Violence Cases)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate current circumstances of violence against wives, and to identify the wife's opinion of the spouse's punishment in domestic violence cases. Method: The subjects were 216 married women in G province. Data was gathered from November 22 to December 6, 2004. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, and the $x^2$-test using SPSS/Win 10.0 program. Results: About thirty six percent of the subjects had experience with domestic violence. There was a high prevalence of psychological aggression(68%), sexual coercion (36%), physical assault(31%), and injury(19%). The subjects experiencing domestic violence had a higher positive attitude towards the spouse's punishment than subjects not experiencing domestic violence. The more severe the domestic violence was, the more the battered women's positive attitude for criminal action increased. Conclusion: An educational program and public relations will increase women's empowerment to solve domestic violence. A more cooperative and integrative program for prevention and an intervention system against domestic violence should be developed for women in battered situations.

전문계 고등학교 의상과 교육과정에서의 교육목표 및 내용에 관한 연구 (The Changes and Present Status of Education in Clothing Departments at Vocational High Schools)

  • This research investigates the historical changes of the educational system for the clothing departments at vocational high schools. According to the growth of the fashion industry, employment potential in the clothing departments of the vocational high schools, numerical changes in the educational statistics, and curriculums were investigated by papers, reports, and statistic data. The statistic data were derived from the 'Center Educational Statistics and Information', 'School Information' (Hak-gyo Alimi), 'Korean Statistical Information Services' and internet home pages of vocational high schools. Technical service workers that graduate from clothing departments and vocational high schools have limited competitiveness in a thriving fashion industry field. Highly developed fashion industries require more professional workers in fashion design, fashion marketing, and fashion materials. Compared to 1994, when 35 classes were conducted in 5 vocational high schools, 69 classes are now conducted at 15 schools. They have over 2,000 students and produce over 600 graduates. However, 222 credits of the $1^{st}$ curriculum in 1958 went down to 82 credits in the 2007 revised curriculum to complete the credits of clothing departments. The 15 courses of the 1st curriculum fell to 5 courses in the 2007 revised curriculum on the number of major subjects. It is a fundamental problem that major courses in clothing education have been excessively reduced despite the demand for of highly specialized workers in the fashion industry. In the view of operating conditions of those schools, there were several problems such as the wide gaps in the curriculum, limited equipment, the supply of teachers, and counseling on the choice of college or a career. In conclusion, the following measures are required: 1) the increase of complement credits in major subjects and renovation of curriculum, 2) national substantial support to change the social circumstance concerning vocational education and occupational consciousness, 3) operation of credit approving systems in universities and colleges for students that have completed the same courses at vocational high schools, 4) designing realistic programs for vocational education and cooperation systems with corporate enterprises.

가족기업의 가족체계: 소규모 가족기업에 있어서 가족구성원의 참여유형 (A Family system of Family Business: Participation within a Family in a Small Family Business)

  • Although the term 'family business' is relatively new, this style of business is universal. An Unusual feature that must be noted, is that even though it is a common style of business is not clearly defined. The purpose of this study is to identify the different family participation patterns, and the variables that effect different types of participation. '1997 Daewoo Panel Data' was used. Some descriptive statistics and a multinomial logit model were employed for the analysis. The standard type of business focused on in this study was a family owned and operated 'ma and pa' typed business and the sample was limited to households where one or both of the partners involved in a family owned and operated business. The main resets obtained from this sample were as follows: 1. Personal characteristics such as respondents' gender, age and educational level were important variables that effected the participation of family members in the business. As can be seen in the gender analysis, family businesses owned by men showed all available patterns of family operated businesses in relatively high numbers. A large percentage of businesses owned women were of self-employed pattern. According to the analysis by age and educational level, young people with a high level of education tend to managed their small businesses by employing others rather than utilising the self-employed or family operated pattern. 2. While big families showed a high percentage of a combination pattern of a family-run, and ordinary employer/employee company, relatively small families usually opted for purely family-run businesses. Whether the family have children under 6 or not, and the number of children under 6 did net significantly effect to the patterns of the family system of small family businesses. 3. The size, location and kind of family business also effected participation patterns of the family members significantly. These results suggest that further study will be required to gain more exact and meaningful information to help Korean family businesses.
