  • This research aims at investigating the relationships among such variables as internet use, social-ethics, info-ethics, and the needs for info-ethic educational program. Another purpose of this study is to develop the framework for the cyber ethic educational program. For accomplishing the purpose, a survey questionnaire had been administered to 522 respondents online and of nine. The major statistical methods for data analysis were frequencey and t-test. The results of this analysis were as fellows: 1. Such variables as sex, the awareness of social law-ethics and social general ethics increased the awareness of info-ethics. 2. Variables that influenced the needs for info-ethic educational program were internet skills, social general ethics, and net info-ethics. The implications of these findings were discussed. Finally, the cyber ethic educational program was developed by the researcher band on the results of this study.

  • As the COVID-19 virus became prevalent worldwide, non-face-to-face contact was implemented in various ways, and the education system also began to draw much attention due to rapid non-face-to-face contact. The purpose of this study is to analyze the direction of non-face-to-face education in line with the continuously changing educational environment to date. In this study, data were visualized using Textom and Ucinet6 analysis tool programs to collect social network big data with various opinions. As a result of the study, keywords related to "COVID-19" were dominant, and keywords with high frequency such as "article" and "news" existed. As a result of the analysis, various issues related to non-face-to-face education, such as network failures and security issues, were identified. After the analysis, the direction of the non-face-to-face education system was studied according to the growth of the education market and changes in the educational environment. In addition, there is a need to strengthen security and feedback on teaching methods in non-face-to-face education analyzed using big data.

  • To accomplish the educational objectives of a department, a system for CQI(Continuous Quality Improvement) is necessary. Improving the educational system by survey analysis is one of the most important factors for accomplishing the educational objectives. In general, survey analysis is carried out by using statistical distribution on an attribute or correlation analysis between two attributes. However, these analysis schemes have a limitation that they cannot find relations among various attributes. In this paper, an in-depth survey analysis method applying data mining techniques is presented. Data mining is a technique for extracting interesting knowledges from a large set of data. Survey from undergraduate students in the School of Computing of Soongsil University is analyzed in this paper by using a data mining tool, called Clementine. Results of Clementine analysis show the relationship between 'grade', and other attributes hierarchically, and provide useful information that can be applied in student consulting and program improvement.

  • Purpose: This study explores the impact of digital transformation (DT) strategies on gaining a competitive advantage in interactive educational services. Methods: We develop a service value proposition model by analyzing educational service elements to confirm the impact of DT in the classroom through case studies. This study focuses on educational services that DT has a positive impact on organizational competitiveness by providing opportunities for customers to engage in operational processes. This case study summarizes competitiveness using SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. Results: The findings of the case study indicate that DT-enabled competitive factors contribute to an organization's competitive advantage. The study results present key resource as social cloud services, data combination, content sharing, and products/services. The online application that collects user data about education and shares class and evaluation information creates a new class operational process in the field of educational service for a value proposition of collection-merging-sharing with social cloud function. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a good guideline for educational service providers interested in applying DT for improved customer satisfaction and educational organizations' competitiveness. In addition, the study findings provide theoretical and practical implications on SWOT approaches to changing the educational service provision ways through digital transformation.

  • Recently, retrieval of various video data has become an important issue as more and more multimedia content services are being provided. To effectively deal with video data, a semantic-based retrieval scheme that allows for processing diverse user queries and saving them on the database is required. In this regard, this paper proposes a semantic-based video retrieval system that allows the user to search diverse meanings of video data for electrical safety-related educational purposes by means of automatic annotation processing. If the user inputs a keyword to search video data for electrical safety-related educational purposes, the mobile agent of the proposed system extracts the features of the video data that are afterwards learned in a continuous manner, and detailed information on electrical safety education is saved on the database. The proposed system is designed to enhance video data retrieval efficiency for electrical safety-related educational purposes.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the improvement of the educational web service by using of usability test. For this purpose, a case study was performed with three teachers. They solved three problems, which were linked to the usability of educational web site, with think-aloud. All their actions in the screen and their verbalizations were recorded as computer files. Recoded data were analyzed with the task-performance time analysis, behavior code analysis, and problem behavior graph analysis. From the result of analysis, five improvement strategies were proposed for the development of EDUNET which is an educational information service system and a national teaching & learning center.

  • This paper describes an interactive educational software developed at Konkuk University. This software provides an educational opportunity for electrical engineering students at the junior level to expand their knowledge about fault analysis in power systems. The developed educational software has three main modules: 1) Z-building, 2) setting the type and location of the fault, 3) displaying the calculated fault currents, according to the given simulation options. The main features of this tool are the diversification of acquisition network data, the function of learning about the z-building procedures, and the dynamic display function of state vectors-all voltage/current phasor. To verity the effectiveness of the developed educational software, some case studies are performed.
