Riding a Bike Not Owned by Me in Bad Air: Big Data Analysis on Bike Sharing

  • The sharing economy has significantly changed the way of living for years. The emergence and expansion of sharing economy empowered by the mobile information technologies and intellectual algorithms reconfigure how people use transportation means. In this paper, the bike sharing phenomenon is highlighted. Combining a big data set provided by the Seoul government about user logs and air quality data set, the empirical findings reveal that temperature change is tightly associated bike sharing activities. Also, the concentration of particulate matter is weakly related to bike sharing, but the trend should be carefully examined. By considering external environmental factors to bike sharing businesses, this work is differentiated. To further understand empirical data, data mining methods and econometric approaches were adopted.

  • 농촌정책의 중요한 과제는 농촌 지역경제 활성화인데, 대다수 연구와 정책은 농업인과 농업을 중심으로 전개되고 있다. 그러나 지역경제 활성화는 지역 내의 다양한 산업이 얽혀 내외부의 변화에 반응하는 것으로 어느 한 부분의 성장만으로 농촌 지역경제 활성화는 달성되기 어렵다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 바탕으로 충청남도 5개 군을 대상으로 농촌지역에서 농업부문의 위치를 살펴보고, 농촌에 위치한 산업별 변화요인을 살펴보았다. 분석결과 5개 군에서 농림어업은 수위산업으로서 역할을 담당하고 있으며, 지역 내부요인인 지역산업효과, 지역경쟁효과가 매우 취약함을 보여 5개 군에서 지역경제 활성화를 위해서는 위와 관련한 요인들의 성장을 위한 노력이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 농림어업부분은 지역 외부효과에 의해 영향을 많이 받고 있었으며, 도소매업, 숙박 및 음식점업 등 농촌 지역에 기초수요를 제공하는 산업부문의 감소가 두드러지게 나타나고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과가 농촌지역에 주는 시사점은 다음과 같다. 우선 농림어업 내 생산물의 지역내 소비와 연결시키는 노력을 통해 지역산업과 연결시키는 개선이 필요할 것이며, 농촌지역 주민의 기초서비스를 제공하는 업종의 보호를 위한 정책적 수단마련을 위해 읍면소재지 개발 등의 사업내용에 소상공인 지원을 위한 사업내용의 고려가 필요하다.

  • This study firstly aims to review the discussions among major nations and international organizations on removal of tariff wall in EC. Secondly, it is analyzed how the trend of tariff reduction of removal will affect an individual economy in a partial balance analysis model on an assumed small-size economy. In closing, political implication for removal of tariffs in EC will be presented. The study concluded that tariff removal on Internet EC has both positive and negative effects on the importing economy. It can improve the efficiency in utilization of economic resources by the importing economy in the long term while cut the financial revenue and aggravate the trade balance of importing country. It is inferred from such a conclusion that tariff removal can lead to trade imbalance between the Information haves and the have-nots.

Research on the development of green chemistry technology assessment techniques: a material reutilization case

  • Objectives This study presents a methodology that enables a quantitative assessment of green chemistry technologies. Methods The study carries out a quantitative evaluation of a particular case of material reutilization by calculating the level of "greenness" i.e., the level of compliance with the principles of green chemistry that was achieved by implementing a green chemistry technology. Results The results indicate that the greenness level was enhanced by 42% compared to the pre-improvement level, thus demonstrating the economic feasibility of green chemistry. Conclusions The assessment technique established in this study will serve as a useful reference for setting the direction of industry-level and government-level technological R&D and for evaluating newly developed technologies, which can greatly contribute toward gaining a competitive advantage in the global market.

  • Life cycle cost is one of important factors in the evaluation of economy feasibility. Load carrying capacity curves for girders and decks are derived on the basis of bridge diagnostic results and condition grade curves to determine the service life and life cycle profile. The total life cycle costs including initial cost, damage cost, maintenance cost, user cost, and etc for the service life are calculated for steel box girder, PSC-I girder and rationalized plate girder. The optimal designs are performed for various service lifes and different superstructure types. The effects of parameters on the life cycle cost are investigated and the economy feasibility is evaluated through the sensitivity analysis.

  • The world Economy has rearranged into three economic block. Especially, the nation's economy in Northeast area are an engine of world economic development. Among these nations in Northeast area china has done a main role of the development of world economy. Owing to raising of the China economy, the Export-Import of container load has rapidly increased in this area. So it is very important of the nation to manage a port. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analysis a port of Masan and to search the way of development. To accomplish this purpose, I will analyze a logistics circumstance in northeast area and a port of Pusan and Jinhae. In conclusion, government and local government must enlarge the investment to develope the port of Masan. Local government should do its best effort to solve the problem of port of Masan. And all citizen should recognize that a development of the port of Masan will be the engine of the raising of Masan.

  • The purpose of this study is analysis to vehicle's fuel economy and emission gas characteristics by fuel type. The test vehicle were selected to similar weight and performance, the test vehicle was used three representative mode(CVS-75, HWFET and NEDC) in order to evaluation fuel economy and emission gas. For reference, environment pollution cost was calculated on the basis of the exhaust emissions occurred in the test in progress.

  • Since the foreign currency crisis, Korean economy has suffered recession and the government launches residence and real estate policy in order to increase the demand and trade of real estate and to help the economy revitalization. 1 As a result, the rate of economy growth is shown the high increase with the figure of 10.9% in 1999 and 8.8% in 2000. However, it brings overheating market as a negative effect. Although, the government established the policy for the control of speculation, the policy causes instability of economy. This study is to analyze the effect between the residence policy and the housing cost since the foreign currency crisis through housing sale price estimation and housing lease price estimation and is to apply the basis data of the next residence policy.

The Influence of Factors on the Level of Digitalization of World Economies

  • The advanced development of the world's economies requires a detailed study of the impact of factors on the level of digitalization, to ensure economic growth and promote the use of information and communication technologies in the digital economy. Digitalization of the world's economies is ensured through the implementation of relevant regulations and policy decisions to implement public policy and strategy of the digital economy. The purpose of the study is to establish the pattern of the impact of factors on the level of digitalization of world economies by conducting a regression analysis to reflect the dependence of the impact of factors on the level of digitalization in 25 economies (by IMD digital competitiveness), to check the level of digitalization of the world's economies. It is necessary to analyze the ranking of countries in the world according to the DiGiX Index, IMD, and DESI Digital Competitiveness Rating. Research methods: information synthesis method; regression analysis; systematization, and generalization. Results. It was found that because of regression analysis, the value of the coefficient of determination indicates that the regression model by 78% explains the relationship between future readiness of countries to implement digital technologies and information and communication technologies, but there are still a small number of other factors not included in the regression model. It is determined that the greatest progress among EU member states for the period 2015-2020 according to the DESI index belongs to Ireland, the Netherlands, Malta, and Spain. It is established that Estonia, Spain, and Denmark are in the lead in the DESI rating, in terms of e-government implementation. The study found that the impact of factors on the level of digitalization of world economies contributes to solving current economic problems through further implementation of information and communication technologies and improving legislation in the digital economy, which will ensure the implementation of effective digital policy. It is established that ensuring the appropriate level of digitalization of the world's economies should solve the problems in the digital economy sector faced by governments and businesses, which requires the implementation of measures to regulate and ensure the continued operation of the digital economy.

식생활라이프스타일에 따른 배달음식의 소비성향 분석 (Analysis of the consumption pattern of delivery food according to food-related lifestyle)

  • 배달음식 소비시장을 세분화하여 고객 성향 맞춤형 제품과 서비스 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 배달음식 이용 경험이 있는 성인남녀 총 636명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사대상자의 식생활라이프스타일 평가항목에 대한 요인분석 결과 안전지향, 편의지향, 맛지향, 경제지향 요인이 도출되었고 요인분석 결과를 토대로 군집분석을 실시한 결과 조사대상 고객을 식생활 저관심군, 편의·경제 추구군, 미식·경제 추구군으로 분류하였다. 군집에 따른 조사대상자의 일반 특성에 대한 차이분석 결과 연령 (p < 0.001), 결혼 여부 (p < 0.001), 가족 유형 (p < 0.01), 주거 형태 (p < 0.05) 에서 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 식생활 저관심군은 기혼 (67.1%), 가족과 함께 거주하는 비율 (85.4%), 아파트에 거주하는 비율 (74.2%)이 다른 군집에 비해 높았고 편의·경제 추구군은 1인 가구 비율 (28.9%)이, 미식·경제 추구군은 미혼의 비율 (62.0%)이 다른 군집에 비해 높았다. 조사대상자의 연령은 편의·경제 추구군(32.3세)과 미식·경제 추구군 (32.5세)에 비해 식생활 저관심군 (40.0세)이 유의적으로 높았다(p < 0.001). 식생활라이프스타일 군집에 따른 배달음식 소비 실태에 대한 차이 분석 결과 주문횟수 (p < 0.001), 주로 주문하는 요일 (p < 0.05), 배달음식의 정보 습득 경로 (p < 0.001), 주문 방법 (p < 0.001), 같이 섭취하는 사람 (p < 0.01)에서 군집 간에 유의적인 차이가 있었으며, 편의·경제 추구군은 배달음식 주문횟수 (p < 0.001)와 배달음식에 대한 전체적인 만족도 (p < 0.001)에서 식생활 저관심군과 미식·경제 추구군에 비해 유의적으로 높았다. 따라서 음식점 경영자와 배달 플랫폼 업체는 배달음식 고객의 만족도를 극대화하기 위해서 고객의 식생활 라이프스타일 특성을 고려한 제품과 서비스를 개발하고 배달음식의 품질 향상을 위해 지속적으로 노력해야 할 것이다.
