  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of participating in the candlelight protest for the impeachment of Park Geun-hye from 2016 to 2017. In particular, it revealed the effects of social economic factors, emotional factors, political orientation, and political attitudes and behaviors in participation of candlelight protests. To this end, the survey was conducted for candlelight participants and non-participants. The results of the study confirmed the effects of gender, ideology, political party, anger, dissatisfaction with the presidential performance, non voting activities, TV and newspaper use, and political association activities.

  • This study examined the effect of behavior on leader' s impersonal behavior and organizational members 'semi - productive task and the moderating effect of organizational support perception. As a result of conducting a questionnaire survey on SMEs of auto parts industry in Chungnam, Sejong, and Daejeon, the non-personality behaviors of the top leaders had a significant effect on the non-personality behaviors of the middle leaders (p <.001, ${\beta}=.910$). The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between the leader and the supervisor was significantly influenced by the non-personality behaviors. In addition, higher leaders have a moderating effect on negative behaviors and semi-productive task behaviors toward the organization of members. The control effect of semi - productive task behavior was confirmed. The results of this study provide suggestions for reducing economic loss and social loss due to semi-productive task behavior of organizational members by revealing the phenomenon of non-personality behavior of middle leader to non-personality behavior of upper leader.

  • In this study, we estimated a CES production function for the Korean economy. We have found in the empirical results that the elasticity of the factor substitution is less than one and that the Korean economy exhibits labor-saving technological progress. In addition, we obtained the regression coefficient of R&D investment on technological change, i.e., the elasticity of R&D investment with respect to the technological change was 0.26% point. It implies that if R&D stock increases by 1%, labor efficiency increases 0.26% point through technological progress which is Hicksian non-neutral. It confirms that innovation-based growth strategy by increasing R&D investment would be effective on the one hand. Some policy consideration on the other might be needed for an increase in employment which is offset by technological progress.

  • This paper considers a special case of the two-dimensional bin-packing problem for identical items. The objective of this work is to maximize the space utilization. The main contribution of the paper is to suggest a new heuristic algorithm keeping in view the existing complexity of racking system for the footwear boxes in the compartments of different sizes for a warehouse. The results show that a significant improvement can be obtained. An economic choice of compartments is also estimated using the criteria for maximizing space utilization. A non-linear mathematical model was presented based on the constraints of racking dynamics.

  • The implementation of a screening procedure for removing non-conforming products has become a common practice especially in high-tech manufacturing industries. Screening procedures involve a measurement on the quality characteristic of interest since decisions regarding the conformance to specifications are usually made on the basis of the realization of measurement. A significant variability in measurement procedures may result in the misclassification of an outgoing product (that is, falsely accepting defectives or falsely rejecting conforming items), which may lead to wrong interpretation on product quality, It may thus be necessary to consider the impacts of misclassification errors due to measurement variability when designing screening procedures. Along this line, this article investigates the design of screening procedures based on the assessment of misclassification errors. The main objective is to determine the screening limits on measured values so that two types of misclassification errors may properly be compromised.

  • Objectives: The study was performed to investigate job-seeking stress for university students who have a major in healthcare. Methods: For the analysis, 10 fourth-year students who are willing to get a job were interviewed. Interviews were conducted from October 2011 to November 2011 for 2 weeks. The data were collected with semi-structured open-ended questions and analysed by the method of Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). Results: The main reasons for the job-seeking stress for students were insufficient preparation for getting a job, uncertainty, anxiety, pressure, and age. A reinforcing factor for stress was family. Conclusions: Universities should provide educational, psychological, and economic supports to job-seeking students majoring healthcare because of their relatively fewer opportunities for getting a job compared to those who have a major in non-healthcare.

  • This paper empirically examines what role of existing exporters play in the discovery of new export products and whether there are evidence of spillovers from export discovery. We find that existing exporters are more likely to discover new export products than non-exporters. We also find evidence of export discovery spillovers; export discovery of a product by some plants had an effect of increasing the probability of subsequent export market penetration of the same product by other plants. Export discovery spillovers are found to be stronger among geographically closely located plants. We argue that information spillovers is a part of the story: you learn from your neighboring discoverers about the profitability of potentially exportable products.

  • An improved nonparametric tool description based on successive refined monparametric patches is proposed and therlated criterion for refinement is also discussed . In the proposed sheme, any required order of tool surface conformity can be achieved by employing successive refinements accoring to the suggested criterion. By using the suggested adaptive tool refinement technique based on the nonparametric patch tool description, the locally refined nonparametric tool surface with economic memory size and sufficient accuracy as well as with favorable charateristics for contact treatment can be obtained directly form the parametric patch related with commerical CAD system. Computation is carried out for a chosen complex sheet forming example of an actual autobody panel in order to verify the validity and the efficiency of the developed tool surface description.

  • The compressive strength of horizontal joints in precast concrete large panel structures depends on parameters such as grout and panel strength, detail of joint, joint moment, width of grout column etc. As the panels are only connected at the pocket, it results in the reduction of compressive strength area. The purposes of this study are to develop the suitable grout material the joint pocket and to enable us to evaluate structural capacity. The validity of the design formulas provides us more economic system in construction. Test results of 15 specimens show that the proper construction procedure and grouting material develop the sufficient compressive strength of the wall as monolithic system.

  • The Transmission network provides physical transport, network security, and connection services. The five principles of Transmission pricing are economic efficiency, cost recovery, efficient regulation, simplicity and transparency, non-discrimination. The Transmission Charges are made up of transmission connection charge and transmission charge of network. The Transmission Losses will be considered through Marginal Transmission Loss Factors in the market operation. The transmission loss rentals are used for the reduction of the annual revenue requirement of the transmission network for the purpose of derivation of transmission use of network charge.
