  • This thesis aims to find an optimal inventory of probabilistic model with an exponential decay. This system is divided into the production period and non-production period and the behavior of each period is analyzed by birth and death process. The result of this analysis gives how to decide the economic production quantity and the optimal production cycle.

  • Thermodynamic and economic analysis on various type of gas turbine combined cycle power plants was presented to build up the criteria for optimization of power plants. The efficiency considered about energy level difference between electricity and heat was introduced. The efficiency on power and heat generation of power plants whose have different purpose was estimated and power generation costs on various type of combined heat and power plants : fired/unfired, condensing/non-condensing mode, single/double pressure HRSG.

  • The Eunsan gold mine, together with similar nearby prospects, is situated near the centre of the ‘Wusuyeong’ 1:50000 Scale Geological Quadrangle, an area largely underlain by a thick sequence of non-marine Cretaceous strata. The sequence, several kilometres thick, comprises basaltic and andesitic lavas and tuffs, intercalated with fluvial and lacustrine sediments, passing upwards into a further thick volcanic sequence of predominantly dacitic and rhyolitic composition. • Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are hydrophobic and most are practically insoluble in water contributing to their persistence in the environment. In addition, most exist in strongly adsorbed forms when they are introduced into the soils. Their removal efficiency can be limited in low mass transfer phases, such as PAHs-contaminated soils, because most chemical and biological remediation technologies require transfer from NAPs (Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids) into the mobile phase. • China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is China's contribution to the need for the world to collectively address deficits of peace, development, governance, and problems relating to climate, the environment and human health. The rise of China and the BRI do challenge the current 'rules-based global order' and the economic dominance and moral, political, economic, and cultural leadership of the United States and its allies. However, China's goal is not hegemony but a multipolar world in which common values coexist with principles of peaceful coexistence (including non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states). The evolution of the BRI is outlined, and the ways in which it reflects Chinese interests are summarized, including its roles in addressing natural resource dependence and excess capacity, a transition from investment promotion and factor-intensive growth to going out and industrial upgrading, going West, and the effective deployment of China's foreign exchange assets. Although China does therefore potentially gain, the BRI is designed so that partners also gain in a quest for win-win co-operation and mutual benefit. The values that underlie this approach and the call for a community with a shared future are compared with competing western values, whose roots lie in Enlightenment thought and are associated with a record of colonialism and imperialism. In this light, the article concludes with a consideration of the global implications of the BRI, the challenges it confronts and the likelihood that the unipolar moment will give way to a multipolar global development path.

  • In this paper, we shall establish a new theorem on the existence and uniqueness of the solution to a backward doubly stochastic differential equations under a weaker condition than the Lipschitz coefficient. We also show a comparison theorem for this kind of equations.

  • Because of three reasons: rare natural resources, high dependent ratio and rapid wage increases, Korea must take the non-price competitive strategy. The developing process of quality management system in Korea can be categorized into five stages according to changes in economic policy. In order to develop the Korean quality management system effectively, we should try to connect total quality management with management system and emphasize the training and education.

  • Starting with analyzing the development of cyber-education in China, this article discusses experiences and lessons acquired through making reflections on the following aspects: technology vs. pedagogy, the degree education vs. non-degree education, resource exclusivism vs. resource inclusivism, mono-service system vs. multi-service system, and educational quality vs. economic profit. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the future development of cyber-education in China.

  • Korea has failed to respond to the Middle East respiratory syndrome of 2015 and the early phase of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) of 2020. This is due to the structural problems of the Ministry of Health and Welfare that has been more increased manpower and budgets of the welfare part relative to those of the health part, and the ministers were appointed welfare experts, not health experts. In 21 (56.8%) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries, the Ministry of Health operates independently, and these countries have been relatively well coping with COVID-19. The importance of the Korean health sector is increasing even further. Korea faces on the emerging infectious diseases, chronic infectious diseases such as tuberculosis that has been being a huge burden, and rapidly increasing non-communicable diseases, suicide and mental disorders, and some diseases due to fine dust and climate change. In addition, the rapid advancement of the aging society, the entry of an era of ultra-low fertility and low-economic growth, and the unification of the Korean peninsula are calling for a health policy reform. Therefore, the Ministry of Health should be established and systematically responsible for health policy, disease policy, medical policy, and medical security policy. Ministry of Health will be the control tower for K-Disease Control, K-Bio, and K-Health.
