This study analyzed the sensibility of eco-friendly fabrics for college students and investigated their attitude on environmental problems, trust reliability onto eco-apparel products, and their purchase state. We tested 6 eco-friendly fabrics (recycled polyester, organic cotton, green tea, charcoal, bamboo, and nettle) through a survey using the Likert scale of 12 polar sensibility words. Most fabrics showed feelings that were smooth, natural, female, and country these were followed by fashion, cheap, functional, sustainable, warm, and vintage. In addition, nettle fabric showed 'rough' feeling, and recycled polyester fabric showed an 'artificial' feeling. Correspondence analysis showed the distance and direction between fabric types and sensibility words with a 2D diagram where the X axis was named with 'Soft <-> Hard' and Y axis was with 'Environmental <-> Manmade' to represent the relationship between fabric types and the sensibility words. According to the results of the multiple regression analysis, the cognition level of the consumer for environmental problems was found to be the most influential variable on the loyalty purchase of eco-friendly products; however, the trust reliability level of consumer onto eco-friendly apparel products was found to be the most influential variable on the conditional purchase of eco-friendly apparel products.
This study promotes education, purchase, and advertisement activities related to eco-friendly apparel products. The study examined college students and their demographic characteristics, their recognition of and interest in, knowledge, purchase, and attitude towards advertisements related to eco-friendly apparel products. In this study, 337 students from various universities in Daejeon participated in a questionnaire survey from March 7 to March 25, 2011. The collected materials were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, cross tabulations analysis, and t-test using SPSS 18.0 software. The results of these tests revealed that more students from the upper grades belonged to the Environmentally Friendly Group compared to those in the Non-environmentally Friendly Group. It was also found that students in the Environmentally Friendly Group had a higher level of consciousness and expressed a greater interest in eco-friendly apparel products as well as towards the launch of educational programs. Additionally, this group was more supportive of the need for new courses and had a higher likelihood to enroll in these courses. The research results revealed that (compared to the Non-environmentally Friendly Group) the Environmentally Friendly Group exhibited a greater satisfaction with the designs of eco-friendly apparel products and had more experience to examine advertisements about eco-friendly apparel products; in addition, they expressed a higher likability and reliability to these advertisements. The results also showed that the Environmentally Friendly Group believed that advertisements had persuasive power and were quite impressive in recalling the advertisements.
It is important to understand consumer attitudes associated with their eco-friendly behavior on account of not only environmental reasons, but also corporate aspects. In this study, we examine the relations between variables influencing eco-friendly attitudes and eco-friendly behavioral intentions, namely, recycling, reusing, and reducing (3R). We first, performed a theoretical consideration through reviews of literature on ethical identity, ethical obligation, altruism, and eco-friendly attitudes, and behavioral intentions. Based on the literature review, we designed a study model and drew hypotheses. Further, we collected data using a survey and processed them statistically in order to verify the hypotheses. A total of 265 samples were collected and the data were analyzed using a structural equation model (-LISREL 8.70). The results suggest that ethical identity and altruism significantly influence environmental attitudes. However, the effects of ethical obligations on eco-friendly attitudes are insignificant. The environmental attitudes have a significant effects on the consumer behavioral intention for recycling, reusing, and reducing. Although this study has some limitations, it is expected that it will positively trigger follow-up research.
This research examines the environmental consciousness of fashion consumer attitudes towards eco-friendly products and artificial leather purchase intentions. The survey was conducted from March 11 to March 15 2012 and all respondents had at least once experience of purchasing fashion items made of artificial leather. A total of 426 subjects were used in the dataset; the statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple analysis. The results are as follows. The study finds that environmental consciousness has three dimensions of public participation, resource conservation, and recycling. Public participation, recycling, and resource conservation influenced eco-friendly product attitudes. Eco-friendly product attitudes influenced artificial leather purchase intentions. The research results show that appropriate plans in fashion business such as usefulness of design and business value will need to be provided to fashion consumers. Detailed information on materials related to fashion products as the content of environment-friendly techniques and recycling methods will help consumers to evaluate environmental-friendly attitude products.
The purpose of this study was to investigate how environment-friendly activities through nature affects attitude of children. 5-6 years old children were targeted for study from March to December, 2014. Rapid changes of modern society made increase of female workers and their participation rates in economic activity which results children to play more time with artificial toys and media. There are 3 stages to investigate effects. $1^{st}$ stage is to know about woods by visiting woods and experience environment-friendly activity. $2^{nd}$ stage is to experience woods with 5 senses not only in real woods but also in classroom. Lastly $3^{rd}$ stage is to make art work with natural object and make woods in classroom. Changes of hildren's attitude and view toward to the nature were recorded and analyzed by anecdotes perpetual inventory and environment-friendly attitude examination. In this study, to investigate the relationship between early morning delivery's logistics service quality (order quality, delivery quality, and after service quality) and customer satisfaction, and the moderating effect of eco-friendly attitude, the constructs were made up based on previous studies. A survey was conducted on early morning delivery users, and 210 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 21.0. The results are as follows: first, it was found that the logistics service quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Second, it was found that the delivery quality has the greatest effect on customer satisfaction. Third, as a result of testing the moderating effect of eco friendly attitudes in the relationship between the logistics service quality and customer satisfaction, in the case of the order quality among the logistics service quality, the differences between the groups were identified according to eco-friendly attitudes. In conclusion, the implications and limitations of this study are presented.
The purposes of this study were 1) to classify adult consumers according to their desired clothing benefits on natural-dyed clothes, 2) to identify the differences of life-style among the classified groups, and 3) to determine the interest in Korean traditional culture, interest in dyeing, and demographics among the groups. The survey subjects were 283 adults. The data were analyzed utilizing factor analysis, cluster analysis, $x^2$-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test and multiple regression analysis. Based on the 6 dimensions of clothing benefits that were identified by factor analysis, adult consumers were classified into three clusters: eco-friendly oriented group showing the highest scores in environment conservation and comfort in clothing benefits, individuality-oriented group showing the highest scores in individuality and quality, and indifference group showing lower scores in all of the desired clothing benefits. The eco-friendly group showed the highest scores in attitude toward Korean traditional culture, and tended to have the most interest in natural and traditional methods of dyeing. The group members appeared to have passive life-styles, be older and married, and have a higher income than the other groups. The more positive attitude they had in Korean traditional culture, the higher was the purchase intention shown in the eco-friendly group. The individuality-oriented group showed active life-styles. This group tended to be younger than the other group. The more affirmative attitude in Korean traditional culture and the greater interest in the natural dyeing, the higher was the consumers' purchase intention of natural dyeing apparels. The indifference group tended to be younger, unmarried, and have a lower income. This group was not interested in natural dyeing apparels. The study findings demonstrated that consumers with different clothing benefits sought have different buying patterns on natural dyeing apparels. Finally the marketing implications are discussed.
Fashion industry have been emphasizing on eco-friendly business to enhance their public image. Due to the lack of consumers' awareness and experience of eco fashion advertising, this have resulted in adverse outcomes. Therefore, it is required to develop eco fashion advertisement that meets the public interest of Koreans. This study aims to obtain practical implications which can be applied to further eco fashion advertising. The study examines the public opinion towards eco fashion using Twitter as big data analysis and the protracted implication was provided to consumers as consumer vocabulary to see the advertising effect of consumer vocabulary. In addition, this study focuses on the environmental claim types to identify the most effective advertisement in eco fashion. The results are as follow. Associative claim types had a more positive influence on advertising attitude than substantive claim types. Substantive claim types had a more positive influence on brand cognition than associative claim types. In addition, the moderating effects of consumer vocabulary on advertising attitude and brand cognition were supported in substantive claim types. Advertisement attitude shows positive effects to both brand cognition and brand attitude. It has been proved that brand cognition leads to positive influence towards brand attitude and brand attitude eventually increases consumers' urge to buy products. This study has implication when providing a guideline for eco fashion advertisements.
This study analyzed the effects of fashion consumers' moral identity and empathy propensity on ethical consumption attitude and donation behavior, and the effect of ethical consumption attitude on donation behavior. The survey was conducted on consumers over the 20s who experienced the donation of fashion products, 384 responses were used for data analysis. The result showed that the internality and symbolism of moral identity had a positive effect on ethical consumption attitudes. The all factors of empathy propensity positively affected eco-friendly oriented consumption, and cognitive empathy and social empathy positively affected boycott oriented consumption. The cognitive empathy, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected community oriented consumption and practice oriented consumption. Furthermore, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected recycling oriented consumption. The eco-friendly, boycott, community, and recycling oriented consumption positively affected temporal donation. The all factors of ethical consumption attitude positively affected emotional donation, and eco-friendly, community, recycling, and practice oriented consumption positively affected material donations. The internality and symbolism of moral identity positively affected temporal and emotional donation, and the symbolism except internality positively affected material donation. The cognitive empathy, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected the temporal donation and material donation. In addition, the all factors of empathy propensity positively affected emotional donation. The results of this study will contribute to the ethical product strategy, marketing, and sustainable development of the fashion industry.
Objective: In this study, educational activities were organized to emphasize the importance of natural disaster safety education by reflecting the recent rapid increases in natural disasters. The study focused on story-sharing, art, and game activities to effectively conduct natural disaster safety education for four-year-old children, and in doing so, aimed to improve the children's safety problem-solving abilities and eco-friendly attitude. Methods: Based on the types of natural disasters that are handled by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education, earthquakes, yellow dust, heat waves, floods, typhoons, bolts of lighting, fires, snowstorms, and global warming were included as the study's educational contents, and a total 20 sessions of natural disaster safety education activities were planned. For the subjects, 20 four-year-old children at K Kindergarten attached to a school were selected as an experimental group and 20 four-year-old children at N Kindergarten attached to a school were selected as a control group. Both kindergartens were located in C City, Chungcheongbuk-do. The experimental group was instructed to perform the study's education activities, whereas the control group only carried out general activities based on the Nuri Curriculum's subjects of daily life. Results: As a result, the children in the experimental group, who received the natural disaster safety education, improved their safety problem-solving abilities and eco-friendly attitude when compared to those in the control group. This outcome proved that the natural disaster safety education conducted by the present study offers educational activities that can positively affect improvements in children's safety problem-solving abilities and eco-friendly attitude. Conclusion/Implications: Therefore, the present study is likely to provide concrete information to teachers who plan to conduct natural disaster safety education in the actual early childhood education field.
