CRM 아스팔트의 최적 혼합비와 환경친화적 특성 (Environmental Friendly Characteristics of CRM Asphalt Concrete and Optimal Mixing Ratio)

  • The asphalt mixture with CRM(Crumb Rubber Modifier) is known to show a better performance in resisting thermal cracking, fatigue cracking and rutting compared with the conventional mixture. The laboratory tests on the physical characteristics of indirect tensile strength, density, flow and Marshall value of the CRM asphalt were conducted. The test results show that CRM asphalt has better physical characteristics than that of conventional asphalts. And the analysis on the noise reduction effect, penetration capacity from the field test on the national road in Haksan of Chungbuk, and recycling of tire waste were conducted. From this study, the results show that 1% CRM asphalt has higher the noise reduction effect and penetration capacity that those of conventional asphalts. And, optimal contents of crumb rubber modifier in the asphalt binder is one percent. In this case, crumb rubber modifier were used 10 kg to make the asphalt binder of one cubic meter. So it was named as Eco-asphalt.

친환경 쉬트형 보강재 및 분산성 섬유를 적용한 복합 섬유 보강 포장 개발 (Development of a Composite Fiber Reinforcement Pavement using Eco-Friendly Grid and Dispersive Fibers)

  • PURPOSES : This study develops eco-friendly asphalt reinforcement materials applicable to bridge deck pavement. The main purpose is to ensure highly reliable quality applicable to structures and the possibility of practical application. The main target of the study is to develop materials that are environmentally friendly and capable of improving performance. METHODS : The application of double-reinforcement fiber improves the performance of the road pavement. 1. We use recycled film for application of sheet-typed reinforcement. 2. We use preprocessing fibers to reinforce the properties of composite pavement materials. RESULTS : The developed products may produce materials that fit the purpose of achieving stability and environmental friendliness. Sheet-typed reinforcements use more than 50% recycled resin. The most important type of damage to the asphalt layer is deflection (plastic deformation). These products have a very high deflection resistance of not less than 6,000 cycles/mm. In addition, all performance is excellent. Thus, it will be easier to access the field in the future. CONCLUSIONS : Fiber-reinforced asphalt pavement showed excellent performance. Sheet-typed reinforcements containing 50% recycling resin produced good performance in terms of functionality as well as environmental friendliness. Thus, enhancing the field applicability will enhance the usability of the reinforcements.

중온 아스팔트 혼합물의 성능 평가를 위한 아스팔트 바인더와 골재 사이의 접착물성분석 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Evaluation Method of Warm-mix Asphalt Mixture by the Analysis of Bonding Properties between Asphalt Binder and Aggregate)

  • 국내외적으로 지구 온난화와 에너지 절약에 관한 관심이 커지고 있는 가운데 아스팔트관련 산업에서도 이러한 친환경 소재 및 기술 개발에 관심을 가지고 있다. 기존 가열 아스팔트에 비해 낮은 온도에서 생산할 수 있는 기술인 중온 아스팔트는 이러한 친환경 소재관련 기술 개발의 결과로서 지속적인 개발연구의 대상이 된다. 이러한 연구대상중의 하나는 중온 아스팔트 바인더의 접착능력을 측정하는 것이다. 그리고 또한 이러한 접착능력 평가와 아스팔트 혼합물 성능을 직접 연결하는 노력도 필요하다. 본 논문은 중온 아스팔트 바인더와 골재의 접착능력에 관한 내용을 다루고 있고, 그 접착능력을 평가하기 위한 시험방법을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 DSR 수분손상시험을 사용해 가열 및 중온 아스팔트 바인더와 골재사이 접착부분의 물성을 비교 평가했고, 또한 아스팔트 혼합물 성능과의 관계성을 구하기 위해 인장강도 비를 측정해서 확인해 보았다. 본 연구를 통해서 나온 결론은 다음과 같다. 기존의 수퍼페이브 표준 아스팔트 바인더 시험법에서 사용하는 선형점탄성 $G^*$ 값보다는 85% 선형점탄성 $G^*$에서의 전단응력 값이 가열 아스팔트 바인더 또는 중온 아스팔트 바인더와 골재의 접착성을 좀 더 적확하게 평가하기 위한 물성 값이 될 수 있다. 그리고 얇은 아스팔트 피막두께의 접착능력을 평가하는 것이 실재 아스팔트 바인더와 골재의 접착능력을 좀 더 잘 반영할 수 있는 방법이 될 것이다.

Therefore, this study applies to structure the existing waterproof method (hereinafter referred to as structures water-resistant methode), and to review recent issues of environmental pollution and resource waste, and taking on environmental issues, such as Revelation and functional Inorganic mixed in a way to leverage the manufacturing water-resistant material "Re Inorganic, functional and environmentally friendly high-viscosity mix asphalt waterproof rubber reinforcements, and taking conservative" for the characterization and performance assessment to the issues raised by the structure and whether the judge would respond.

어독성 실험에 따른 방수재 친환경 특성 분석 (Analyses on Environment-friendliness of Waterproof Materials Based on Fish Toxicity Test)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of environment-friendliness of waterproof materials based on comprehensive experiments on waterproofness in terms of coefficients of permeability, harmfulness of waterproof materials and fish toxicity of Oryzias latipes mortality to verify eco-toxicity of each method of construction and waterproof material, which are to be applied by taking eco-toxicity into account when building ecological flows in upper areas on natural and artificial grounds. As a result, the following conclusions have been reached in this study: 1. In regard of the harmfulness analyzed, each material showed a different result of analytical value in each lab tank. Compared to input water, pH, COD, SS, T-P, and T-N values increased a little, but DO value decreased. The value of turbidity analyzed independent of the water quality standard of aquatic ecosystem set forth by the Ministry of Environment increased a little compared to the value in input water. 2. In the experiment of fish toxicity, compacted quicklime, cement fluid waterproof material, cement mortar waterproof material and bentonite powder were found to have 100% of fish mortality, respectively, and membrane waterproof material showed 83.3% of mortality, indicating strong fish toxicity. Improved asphalt sheet (63.3%) and synthetic rubber sheet (53.3%) were analyzed to have medium fish toxicity, while bentonite sheet (6.7%), Hwang-toh (6.7%) and clay (3.3%) showed relatively lower mortality and fish toxicity. 3. Regarding the analysis on waterproofness in terms of the coefficient of permeability of each waterproof material, improved asphalt sheet, synthetic rubber sheet, membrane waterproof material, cement fluid and mortar waterproof material and bentonite sheet were found impervious in case no leakage takes place in construction. Bentonite powder was found practically impervious based on the analytical results from the experiment done in compliance with weight ratios. So were the clay and Hwang-toh from the experimental results. To sum up such results as found in the experiment mentioned so far, the values of harmfulness and waterproofness analyzed were different in each lab tank, but there was absolutely little correlation with the mortality gained from the experiment on fish toxicity. In the experiment of fish toxicity, environment-friendly waterproof materials were analyzed, and it was found that clay, Hwang-toh and bentonite sheet are highly environment-friendly. In contrast, synthetic rubber and improved asphalt sheets were found to have medium-level environment-friendliness. Also, membrane water-proof materials, compacted quicklime, cement fluid and mortar waterproof material and bentonite powder were analyzed to have low environment-friendliness.

도로건설공사 토공작업부에 대한 환경부하 영향인자 분석 (An Analysis of Factors Affecting Environmental Load in Earthwork Type of Road Project)

  • 건설산업에서 LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)를 활용하여 환경영향을 평가하려는 시도가 점차 증가하고 있다. 그러나 제한된 사업예산과 일정으로 인해 신속한 의사결정을 수행해야 하는 국내 건설산업에서 모든 자재와 에너지를 대상으로 환경부하량에 대한 검토를 수행하는 것은 곤란하다. 따라서 친환경성 확보를 위한 의사결정과정에서 환경부하 저감을 위해 중점적으로 검토가 수행되어야 하는 주요 영향인자와 이를 환경영향평가로 연계할 수 있는 정량화된 정보의 제공이 요구된다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 정보의 제공을 위해 도로건설공사 사례의 LCA결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 경유, 레미콘, 우레탄계도료, 골재, 아스팔트콘크리트가 도로 토공작업부에서 환경부하량의 93.17%를 발생시키는 주요 영향인자로 조사되었다. 도로 토공작업부 1km를 시공할 때 이들 영향인자에 의해 발생하는 총환경비용은 약 242백만원이며 레미콘과 아스팔트콘크리트의 작업물량 10%를 절감함에 따라 5.02%와 2.28%의 탄소배출량 감축효과를 얻을 수 있다. 두 자원의 탄소배출량 감축을 통해 1km당 약 11백만원의 환경비용을 절감할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 도로 토공작업부의 탄소배출량 감축을 위해서는 레미콘과 아스팔트콘크리트의 사용량을 감소시키기 위한 신공법이나 친환경자재의 적극적인 개발과 도입이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Use of recycled aggregates that are constituents of concrete or asphalt-based structures has become popular because the recycling is an eco-friendly way to overcome the depletion of natural aggregates. In order to adopt the recycled aggregates for backfilling a power transmission pipeline trench, their thermal resistivity should be low enough to prevent thermal runaway in the transmission system. In this study, a series of laboratory tests with QTM-500 and KD2 Pro was performed to measure the thermal resistivity of recycled aggregates prepared from various sources. Relationships between the thermal resistivity of recycled aggregates and the water content have been obtained with consideration of compaction effort. Similar to natural soils, the thermal resistivity of the recycled aggregates decreases with increasing the water content. In addition, this study compared the experimental data with conventional prediction models for the thermal resistivity in the literature, which suggests the availability of the recycled aggregates as backfill material substituting for natural aggregates when backfilling the power transmission pipeline trench.

소규모 하천 친환경 물흐름을 위한 차수특성 (Waterproof Characteristic for Environmental Water Flows in Small Streams)

  • This research produced internal model tester ($2.0m{\times}2.0m{\times}1.0m$) to evaluate the field application of Paju Unjeong District water recycling system for small streams eco-friendly river bed disparity method for the first time in Korea and conducted comparative analysis of the Paju Unjeong District water recycling system field test results and infiltration rate result of internal tests by each rainfall intensity following surface material. Infiltration rate result of internal tests concrete pavement by rainfall intensity following surface material, asphalt pavement, bentonite mate, stabilized soil construction and mixed soil construction manifested low infiltration rate. On the contrary, compaction soil, grassland and water permeable packaging materials resulted in significant amount of infiltration rate. As for the field permeability test results, they were manifested similar tendency as indoor permeability test results and they satisfied the standard for standard of water permeability of domestic disparity facility (less than $1.0{\times}10-7cm$/sec). As compaction rate increased, unconfined compression strength increased as well while coefficient of water permeability decreased.

투수성 아스팔트 포장에 대한 우려와 실제: 구조적 적합성, 홍수 완화 그리고 비점오염 저감 (Worries and Reality Regarding Porous Asphalt Pavements: Structural Integrity, Flood Mitigation and Non-Point Pollution Reduction)

  • 투수성 포장은 도시에서 불투수면 증가에 따라 발생하는 환경문제에 대응하기 위한 대표적인 저영향개발 (Low-Impact Development, LID) 기법의 하나이다. 도시의 도로가 투수성 포장으로 바뀐다면 도시의 불투수면이 약 절반으로 줄어들고, 더 나가 지붕으로부터의 강수 유출까지 수용할 수 있다면 도로는 도시 물 순환 문제의 원인자에서 해결자로 전환될 수 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 경험과 인식의 부족으로 투수성 포장을 적용하는 경우가 거의 없는 실정이다. 도로 포장을 설계, 시공 및 관리하는 도로 기술자는 전통적으로 포장 구조에 물이 들어가는 것을 피하려 하고, 수자원 전문가는 투수성 포장의 도시홍수 저감효과에 대해서 의문을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 국내외의 다양한 연구 결과를 검토하여 투수성 포장에 대한 역사와 최신 기술을 분석하였다. 최신의 투수성 포장 기술을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 투수성 포장은 기존의 방법대로 설계해도 노상 약화와 동결 융해로 인한 구조적인 문제가 없다. 둘째, 투수성 포장의 저수층 두께의 조절로 도시수문 설계에 직접 반영할 수 있다. 셋째, 기존의 다른 비점오염 처리시설에 비하여 수질처리 효과가 떨어지지 않는다. 특히 투수성 포장은 겨울철 제설제 사용을 저감하여 보다 친환경적이다.
