전자책은 물리적 제약없이 어디서나 구입할 수 있고, 고속으로 내려받을 수 있으며, 종이책보다 저렴하기 때문에 전자책 시장의 부상은 전 세셰적으로 거스를 수 없는 대세다. 본 논문에서 K여자대학교 학생들의 전자책에 대한 인식과 사용실태를 분석한다. 아마존의 전자책 단말기인 '킨들'핵심 개발자 제이슨 머코스키가 '스마트클라우드쇼 2014'의 발표에 따르면 '2년후 한국 인구의 절반은 전자책 단말기를 갖게 될 것'이라고 발표하는 등 전자책 향후 전망에 대하여 알아본다.

e-book is digital contents using IT technology instead of paper. It is carried in Internet and displayed wish Viewer of PC, PDA or terminal. The Open eBook specification is to provide a specification for representing the content of electronic books to these viewers. The specification is based on HTML and XML, the same core languages that define the World Wide Web, and is designed to allow publishers and authors to deliver their material in a single format. In this paper, we design and implement the viewer that can support OEB(Open eBook) standard. Viewer is composed parser part and display part. In audition, we add some functions - the book shelf, the bookmark and the dictionary - for convenience of readers.

We have heard about several keywords of the fourth industrial revolution such as automation, artificial intelligence and connectivity. And electronic publishing systems and ebooks will enable us to experience a new industrial revolution without discrimination. On that level, it is necessary to study a method of automatic accessibility tool for electronic publishing. There are some studies on accessibility standard specifications, accessibility guidelines, and accessibility certificate criteria. but there is little research about automatic inspection tools in electronic publishing area. This paper proposed a library for accessibility inspector of EPUB and its components based on IDPF EPUB accessiblity guidelines and TTA accessibility certificate criteria for reading disabled people. After implementing the library that can be connected to SIGIL, which is the most widely used in Korea, we verified its functionality and its coverage with Korean commercial EPUB files.

웹 기술의 발전은 인간 사회의 변화에 많은 영향을 주고 있다. 웹 발전 분야에서도 전자책 기술 발전은 확연하게 달라지고 있으며, 단순 텍스트 정보만을 제공하는 기술을 넘어 음성서비스를 위한 기술 분야에도 많은 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹 표준 기술인 HTML5기반 지능형 전자책 다국어 TTS 서비스를 위한 관련 연구 조사와 전자책 사용자의 편리성 및 접근성을 강화하기 위한 전자책 제작 및 서비스 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 전자책 사용자들에게 텍스트를 포함한 전자책에서 텍스트 및 여러 객체들에 주제 혹은 설명을 TTS 서비스가 가능하도록 하고, 사용자의 선택적 영역과 언어에 따라 다국어 TTS가 자동 변환되어 서비스 할 수 있도록 연구 개발 하는 것이다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a vital signs e-book for undergraduate student nurses and evaluate the content, system and student satisfaction. Method: This study was done in three stages, the development of a vital signs e-book, implementation and evaluation. The subjects were 73 undergraduate student nurses in Y university. Result: Thirty one learning objectives were used to create the contents. A set of 5 chapters and 18 subsections were defined after validation from nurse educators. The e-book is available at http://123.134.207.23/ebook/vitalsigns. Analysis of the questionnaires showed a mean score for content, system and students satisfaction of $3.17\pm73,\;3.11\pm79,\;and\;2.96\pm.74$ respectively out of a possible 4 points. Conclusion: Nurse educators should provide quality and effective web-based courses that meet undergraduate student nurses' learning needs and they should incorporate web-based learning into traditional teaching to meet the demands of nursing education.

The Current 7th Curriculum for Computer Education emphasized the class of practice oriented, student oriented. But it is very hard because of many students, poor environments, insufficiency of the teaching model. So ADPM will gives our help. a ADPM based practical class using ebook synchronized with video files give a little student's wating time for answering, much student's learning efficiency, much student's voluntary learning custom, a individualized learning. And this study developed the prototype to support the ADPM. This prototype will make up for the weak points in authoring systems, which they are a wizard type program, capturing video file, synchronizing video files. And it will improve a practical class.

The purpose of this study is to develop the eTextbook and to explore the usability of the eTextbook for accelerating mobile learning in university. This study was primarily based on needs analysis of students, and eTextbook was created based on digital publishing through Adobe DPS. The major design principles of the eTextbook based on previous studies were as follow. First, eTextbook should deliver learning contents in a simple and systematic way. Second, eTextbook should induce student's flows by providing segmented learning contents and various learning resources. Third, eTextbook should expand information accessibility by providing a wide variety of multimedia functions. The development principles of eTextbook have been developed based on cognitive psychology. Location and function of the link or icon used for eTextbook have been developed on the basis of the principles of cognitive psychology. The main development principles were Coherence, Signaling, Redundancy, Segmentation, Multimedia principle, and so on. In order to examine usability of the developed eTextbook, experts' and learners' reactions were evaluated. The primary responses of learners are that the eTextbook increased the learning accessibility and provided various multimedia factors, and thus increased the learning flows in the class.

A study on e-book viewer terminal in the native language of the platform-dependent studies are based, This is inefficient in memory usage and screen rendering speed, and there are frequent system updates, e-book viewer, the nature of mobile terminal platform application compatibility issues may occur. In this paper, using the mobile app framework in order to design e-book e-book viewer, analyzed the structure of ePub file parser and file more structured modules were designed and MVC. Designed and implemented to test the functionality of the memory information that is currently running to provide the ability to show the relationship of DDMS and layout components were used to show Hierarchy Viewer. As a result, rendering the screen 150%, 84% in the heap memory usage, improved performance was confirmed.

To understand the use of the ebooks among undergraduate students, a questionnaire was devised and collected data from 466 respondents. The level of ebook and its service awareness appears to be low, and only about 30% of the students have used ebooks in the past. Students access ebooks primarily through the library homepage. 73% of the users read 3 ebooks and below. The subject and area of reading is fairly spread, however literary works and genre fiction were most popular And the purpose is split into academic and private reading. Most of the users lack of knowledge about additional functions. Overall satisfaction level is low. Discomfort and ebooks illiteracy constitute the major reasons of nonuse, however about 88% of the nonusers show willingness to use in the future. According to the interview, active users are familiar with the screen reading as well as perceived advantages of ebooks. Nontheless, their satisfaction level is still low. Based on the results, recommendations for creating awareness, education, production development and service evaluation are suggested to promote the ebooks use.
