유아교육과 신입생 멘토링 프로그램에 참여한 멘티의 경험의 의미 (The meaning of the mentee's experiences who participated in the mentoring program for freshmen of department of early childhood education)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육과 신입생을 대상으로 한 멘토링 프로그램의 멘티인 신입생의 경험과 그 의미를 드러내는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 3년제 대학 유아교육과 1학년 13명이었다. 연구 자료의 수집은 2010년 3월 21일에서 2010년 9월 9일에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 수집한 자료는 멘토링 프로그램에 참여한 후 멘티들이 기록한 저널, 서술식 질문지, 면담자료이다. 이러한 자료들은 세그멘팅, 초기 코딩, 심층 코딩의 과정으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 멘티들은 첫 만남에서 독특한 경험과 감정, 관계형성에 대한 기대감, 멘토로부터 얻는 다양한 정보들을 경험하였고, 전체 프로그램에서 시간관리, 발표 방법, 자료 찾는 방법, 시험 잘 보는 요령, 진로설계 등을 배우고 실천하였다. 그러나 멘토들과의 사적인 만남이 없어 아쉬웠다는 경험도 이야기 하였다. 멘티들은 이러한 멘토링 경험을 인생에서 좀처럼 만나기 힘든 행운이라 생각하게 되어서, 이후 자신이 받은 것을 멘토, 예비 후배와 나누고 싶은 마음이 생겼다. 한편으로 멘티들은 멘토와의 관계 교류 보강을 포함하는 더 진보된 멘토링 프로그램을 제안하기도 하였다.

  • In Korea, the lower elementary grades are applying a topic-oriented integrated curriculum. It causes a lack of science content and inquiry experience for young children. The purpose of this study is to understand the scientific experiences and perceptions of the lower elementary graders and to inquire about the meaning of those experiences in their science learning. Four students (male 2, female 2), their parents, and their first-year homeroom teachers participated in the study. The data collection was mainly conducted through in-depth interview of them. Results showed that the 'experiments' were the student's the main perception of science, and the epistemic emotion that students mainly feel about science was 'curiousness'. Since most experiences were dependent on non-formal educational experience, the parents were an important factor to determine their experiences about science. Various factors, such as students' scientific experiences, their epistemic emotions, and the parents, interacted to form children's perception of science. The positive perception of science affected the level of motivation and expectation for science learning as the third grade. It is suggested that improvement of curriculum and textbooks should emphasize scientific exploration for the lower graders of elementary school, which provides them meaningful scientific experience in school.

의식확장으로서의 건강 -성폭력 피해자의 경험을 중심으로- (Health as Expanding Consciousness: Based on the Experiences of Victims of Sexual Violence)

  • Purpose: This study was to explore health experiences of victims of sexual violence reflected in Newman's health as expanding consciousness theory. Method: Nurse as researcher use Newman's praxis methodology because it is good for showing the process of interaction between researcher and sexual abuse victims. Results: The significant characteristics of early health experiences during negative situations were a lot of suffering. However, after a turning point in health experience, the health experiences of most of the participants evolved as expanding consciousness. Conclusion: The study has provided support for Newman's theory of health. Most of the participants recognised meanings in their patterns and trustful caring relationships with the nurse as researcher. Pattern recognition as a nursing practice was a meaningful transforming process in the participant-nurse partnership.

예비유아교사의 협동학습에서의 갈등경험 의미 탐색 (A Research on Meaning of Conflict Experience in Cooperative Learning Activity of Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사들의 협동학습 과정에서 출현하는 갈등경험과 갈등해결 경험은 어떠한 것이며, 이러한 과정의 의미를 알아봄으로써 협동학습에 대한 이해를 넓히고 바람직한 협동학습이 진행 될 수 있는 기초방안을 마련하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 W대학에 재학 중인 85명의 예비유아교사로 저널쓰기, 비형식적 면담을 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사는 협동학습에서 구성원 모임, 공정성, 대인관계 갈등을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사는 협동학습과정에서 모임시간의 자율성을 확보하고, 반성적 사고, 동료 간의 정서적 지지, 타인 이해 하기, 함께 하는 시간을 통해 갈등을 해결하는 경험을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사가 경험하는 갈등 경험의 의미는 지각된 책임감의 형성, 타인 배려를 통한 자신의 성장, 호혜적 이타성 경험, 협동에 대한 의미를 이해하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 구성원이 함께 직접 만나 협동학습을 하는 시간의 중요성에 대한 재인식과, 갈등해결을 위하여 교수자는 적절한 시기에 학습자의 공정한 참여와 평가에 대한 피드백을 제공하고, 협동 학습을 지원해 줄 수 있는 물리적 환경을 제공할 때 협동학습이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

Q 방법론을 사용한 유아교사의 과학교육에 대한 불안 탐색 (Exploring Science Education Anxiety Among Early Childhood Teachers Using Q-Methodology)

  • Objective: This study aimed to explore early childhood educators' anxiety regarding science education via Q-methodology. Methods: As the first step, 268 Q samples were collected from resources such as books and research papers related to science education for young children. Through five stages of excluding and modifying, a set of 33 Q statements was finalized. The P sample consisted of 40 early childhood educators and was based on educational levels, years of teaching experiences and types of centers. The collected data were analyzed using QUANL statistical program. Results: The results of this study indicate that science anxiety among early childhood educators are classified into four types, explaining 45.13% of the total variance. Conclusion: We conclude that early childhood educators' science anxiety stems from "preparing educational environment and materials," "instructional methods focused on process and scientific inquiry skills," "lack of understanding regarding early childhood science education," and "simple science avoidance."

입국 초기 북한이탈가정 유아가 다니는 평화유치원 교사의 경험 (Teachers' Experiences with North Korean Defectors' Young Children during Their Initial Settlement Period at Pyeonghwa Kindergarten)

  • The purpose of this study was to acquire in-depth understanding regarding teachers' experiences with North Korean defectors' young children during their initial settlement period at Pyeonghwa Kindergarten. The participants of this study included 2 kindergarten teachers and 15 North Korean defectors' young children along with 3 local classmates. Qualitative data was collected via interviews and in-class observations. The study results show that (1) teachers witnessed that North Korean defectors' young children came from diverse backgrounds and struggled with emotional insecurity while local classmates were being excluded by them, (2) teachers had difficulties to communicate and make a consensus with their parents while teachers' efforts to communicate were being paid off gradually, and (3) teachers felt that kindergarten education was de-prioritized administratively to elementary education, and many programs were cancelled due to lack of understanding of in-charge staff.

부모에 대한 애착 및 또래경험과 초기 청소년의 외로움간의 관계 (Loneliness in Early Adolescence: Relationships to Peer Experiences and Attachment to Parents)

  • Loneliness in adolescence was examined in relation to peer aggression /victimization and to parental attachment with sample of 426 eighth graders in a suburban city. The subjects rated themselves on questionnaires regarding attachment to parents, peer experiences, and loneliness. Peer aggression and victimization was also rated by peers. In both boys and girls, the more they were attached to parents, the less loneliness they experienced. The more aggression and victimization they experienced from peers, the more loneliness they experienced. Lonely adolescent girls had lower attachment to parents and higher self-rated victimization by peers.

스토리텔링을 활용한 유아수학교육 교육공동체 참여경험과 그 의미 (Experience of Participation in Educational Community in Early Childhood Mathematics Education Using Storytelling and its Meaning)

  • 본 연구는 스토리텔링을 활용한 유아수학교육에서의 유아교사들 간 그리고 연구자와의 협력적 관계로 이루어진 교육공동체 참여 경험을 살펴보고, 그 경험의 의미에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 부산 소재 유치원 교사 3명과 연구자가 2016년 3월 14일 교육공동체의 형성으로 시작되어 2016년 7월 26일까지 진행되었으며, 교육공동체 모임 토의전사자료, 교사와 연구자의 반성적 저널자료, 교사의 개별면담 전사 자료를 수집하여 질적분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 스토리텔링을 활용한 유아수학교육에서의 교육공동체 참여 경험은 개인적 수학경험과 수학적 상황을 공유하고 공유를 통해 수학내용지식을 이해하고 학습하였으며, 교육공동체를 통해 소통하면서 자신의 수학적 경험에 대하여 반성적 사고를 하였다. 둘째, 스토리텔링을 활용한 유아수학교육 교육 공동체 참여 경험의 의미를 살펴보면 수학적 오류를 통해 함께 배우고, 공유를 통해 더 나은 수업의 방향을 습득하여 협력적 수학탐구과정을 즐기는 교사로 성장하였고, 스토리텔링을 활용한 유아수학교육에서의 협력을 통한 공동실천을 증진하였다.

'어린이집 부모모니터링 사업'에 참여한 보육전문가, 부모 및 원장의 경험 탐색 (An Exploration of the Experiences in Childcare Experts, Parents, and Directors with Participation in 'Daycare Centers Monitoring Program')

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the practical experiences of childcare experts, parents, and daycare center directors who participated in the 'Daycare Centers Monitoring Program' carried out in K city. Methods: Participants were three childcare experts who belong to the monitoring group in K city, three mothers with infants and children, and three daycare center directors who were selected for the 'Daycare Centers Monitoring Program'. Results: As a result of the research, the childcare experts experienced the following; 1) sharing interesting experiences with parents, 2) a perception of the monitoring program for taking advantage of mutual strengths, 3) the opportunity of maintaining a sense of presence in early childhood education institutions, et al. The mothers' experiences were shown to include, 1) resolving small questions about the operation and management of a daycare center, 2) feelings of relief through observing the life style of infants and children, 3) the joy and reward of being a member of the monitoring group, et al. The directors' experiences were indicated to include 1) a psychological discomfort recognized as a target of the daycare monitoring and as 'another evaluation', 2) the confusion caused by different reviews, 3) an ambiguity on the unfamiliar indexes and contents electronically documented, et al. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, there was a discussion about actual suggestions and educational implications on the daycare monitoring program in order to improve the quality of daycare services in childcare centers.

유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 원가족 경험과 어머니의 양육스트레스: 아버지의 양육참여의 매개효과 검증 (Experiences in the Family of Origin with Fathers and Parenting Stress of Mothers: Significance Test of Mediating Effects by Parenting Participation of Fathers)

  • This study is to examine the relationships between experiences in the family of origin with fathers, parenting participation of fathers, and parenting stress of mothers. The subjects in this study consisted of 203 couples with children of ages 3, 4, and5 attending child care centers in the Gyeong-gi province. The results of this research are summarized as follows. First, experiences in the family of origin with fathers, have meaningful correlations with parenting participation of fathers and parenting stress of mothers. Also, parenting participation of fathers has meaningful correlations with parenting stress of mothers. Second, experiences in the family of origin with fathers have direct/indirect influence on parenting stress of mothers and parenting participation of fathers played a mediating role between the two variables. It is significant that these results give the basic research data for developing aparental education program that can lower parenting stress of mothers by parenting participation of fathers.
