메타포를 통해 본 유아교사의 '교육과정'에 대한 실천적 지식의 한계 (Borderlines in Early Childhood Teacher's Practical Knowledge of 'Curriculum' via Metaphor Analysis)

  • Teacher's practical knowledge is potentially relevant to the teaching practice in his/her classroom. The research explored early childhood teachers' practical knowledge of 'curriculum' via conceptual metaphors. The participants (N=348) completed a prompt, "Curriculum is like A because B" and then the metaphors were analyzed according to the procedure proposed by Moser (2000). The analysis found that 8 themes (i.e. 'educational basis', 'learning opportunity', 'educational material', 'difficulty', 'change', 'pre-determination', 'discordance', and 'reconstruction') were the underlying conceptions signified in those metaphors. The implications regarding early childhood teachers' practical knowledge were discussed on the perspective of post-modern curriculum. Moreover, it recommended the practical knowledge based approach for early childhood teacher education, and transformation of current policy for program evaluation relevant to curriculum conceptualization.

유아교사의 직무만족도와 교사효능감 및 직무스트레스의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationships between Job Satisfaction, Teacher Efficacy, and Job Stress of Early Childhood Teachers)

  • The aim of this study is to examine the influence of job stress and teacher efficacy on early childhood teachers' job satisfaction levels. Data from 321 early childhood teachers working in kindergarten and child-care centers located in Incheon metropolitan city were collected. The data was analyzed by means of the SPSS 18.0 package. The results of this study were as follow; first, job stress was negatively correlated with job satisfaction. Job satisfaction levels were positively correlated with teacher efficacy. Secondly, job stress had a negative influence on job satisfaction levels. Teacher efficacy had a positive influence on job satisfaction levels. Thirdly, job stress had a directly negative influence on job satisfaction levels. It was also revealed that teacher efficacy had an indirect effect on the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction levels.

포스트 모더니즘적 관점에서 본 아동발달지식과 유아기 교사교육 (Child Development Knowledge and Early Childhood Teacher Education: A Post Modern Perspective)

  • This study discusses the interpretation and application of a post modern perspective to child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education. The survey of literature focused on the post modern approach to child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education, research in the reassessment of child development knowledge as it is challenged by the post modern perspective, and deconstruction of both child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education. It was concluded that child development knowledge is necessary but insufficient to early childhood teacher education. In the post modern perspective, the movement toward fostering "reflective practitioners" and basic knowledge base is more significant. Therefore, the responsibility of academics is to walk the fine line between presenting a formal knowledge base so that students gain assumption to guide their thinking and practice, critiquing both theory and derived practices.

FGI 분석을 통한 유아교사의 놀이중심교육과정 실행 역량 탐색 (Exploring the Play-centered Curriculum Action Competence of Early Childhood Teachers Based on FGI Analysis)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the early childhood education teacher's ability to implement play-centered curriculum that is recognized by an early childhood education expert based on an analysis of focus group interviews. Methods: Two professors of early childhood education, two directors of daycare centers, and two early childhood education teachers participated in the focus group interview. The interview was conducted three times. The interviewed data were categorized and compared. Results: The action competence of the play-centered curriculum required for early childhood teachers were categorized into the following categories; comprehending play, recognizing play, and practicing child-centered play. Detailed factor competencies were required for understanding play, reflective thinking, reading play, recording play, playing like a child, and supporting play. Conclusion/Implications: For actualizing play-centered curriculum, early childhood education teachers needed to comprehend, recognize, and practice for child's play. Furthermore, we discussed the necessity and direction of teacher education to improve the teacher's action competence for play-centered curriculum.

보육교사의 조직몰입 및 조직충성행동과 업무만족과의 관계 (Relationships among Teachers' Organizational Commitment, Organizational Loyalty Behavior, and Working Satisfaction in Day Care Center)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment, organizational loyalty, and working satisfaction of 162 teachers in daycare centers in Gyung-gi province. Three questionnaires about the organizational commitment which Allen and Mayer(1990) developed and Son Sobin(2002) revised, organizational loyalty behavior which Jo Bumsang(2004) revised, and working satisfaction which Kim Sunja(2005) developed, and the researcher revised were used for this study. For this study, the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and Pearson correlation. The results were as follows: first, the early childhood teacher's organizational commitment was average, and there was a significant difference according to the teacher's academic background. Second, the early childhood teacher's organizational loyalty was also average, and there were significant differences according to the teacher's age and academic background. Third, the early childhood teacher's working satisfaction was below average level, and there was a significant difference according to the teacher's working hours. Last, the early childhood teacher's organizational commitment, organizational loyalty behavior, and working satisfaction showed the positive relationship. In conclusion, the government and the director of daycare centers should support for the teacher's psychological satisfaction because the early childhood teacher's psychological state is highly related to successful organization of daycare centers.

보육교사에 의한 아동중심 집단놀이치료가 유아의 사회성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Early Childhood Teacher-led Child-Centered Group Play Therapy on the Sociability of Young Children)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of early childhood teacher-led child-centered group play therapy on young children's sociability. The changes of sociability in the therapeutic process were also examined. Methods: The subjects of this study were 12 young children who were five years old and attended a child care center in Gangwon-do. Subjects were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received 15 early childhood teacher-led child-centered group play therapy sessions twice a week. The sociability scale was used for pre-post tests and the data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0. Every session was video-taped and recorded verbatim. Qualitative data were analyzed to examine changes in sociability. Results: Children who participated in the early childhood teacher-led child-centered group play therapy demonstrated significant improvement in sociability. During the therapy sessions, children's expressions and behaviors associated with sociability gradually increased. Conclusion/Implications: This study supports the use of early childhood teacher-led child-centered group play therapy as an effective intervention strategy for young children to improve their sociability.

유아 컴퓨터 교사를 위한 교육과정 개발에 관한 연구 (The Design of the Educational Computing Course for Early Childhood Teacher)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육 현장에서 컴퓨터 활동을 효과적으로 진행하기 위하여 유아의 발달적 적합성과 유아교육과정 상에 컴퓨터 활동의 통합을 고려한 교사교육과정을 개발하고자 한다. 유아 컴퓨터 교육을 위한 교사교육과정의 개발 절차는 선행 연구들을 고찰하여 유아 컴퓨터 교육의 실태와 요구도를 파악하고, 유아 컴퓨터 교육을 위한 교사교육에 대한 연구 내용들을 토대로 일차적인 교육과정 시안을 구상하였다. 다음으로 대전지역 병설유치원에 근무하는 유아교사 15명에게 내용타당도 검사를 거친 후 교육과정을 개발하였다. 그리하여 유아컴퓨터교육을 위한 교사교육의 최상위 목표아래 4개의 하위목표를 설정하고 각 목표를 충족시키는 4개의 영역과 관련 교육내용을 최종적으로 개발하였다. 본 연구는 직전교사교육과 현직교육에 다양하게 활용할 수 있으며, 현장에서 교사들이 수업에 컴퓨터를 통합적으로 사용할 수 있는 기술을 향상시키는 데에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

유아교사의 행복감과 심리적 소진이 교사-유아상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Early Childhood Teachers' Happiness and Psychological Burnout on Their Teacher-Child Interactions)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 행복감과 심리적 소진이 교사-유아상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 수도권 소재 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 유아교사 250명이다. 연구대상의 행복감과 심리적 소진 및 교사-유아상호작용은 설문지를 사용하여 측정되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0을 활용하여 분석했으며, 기술통계분석과 Pearson 상관관계분석 및 중다회귀분석을 실시했다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 유아교사의 행복감 수준이 높고 심리적 소진의 수준이 낮을수록 교사-유아상호작용의 질이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 행복감과 심리적 소진은 교사-유아상호작용에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 상대적 영향력에 있어서 행복감이 심리적 소진보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 유아교육현장의 질적으로 우수한 교사-유아상호작용을 위해 교사의 행복감을 증진시키고 심리적 소진을 경감시키는 것이 요구됨을 시사한다.

  • 본 연구는 유아교원양성과정에서 '영유아교수·학습방법'에 대한 예비보육교사들의 인식에 대한 연구이다. 문헌조사 및 예비유아교사의 '영유아교수·학습방법'에 대한 이해를 중심으로 주제에 대한 워드클라우드 분석 및 질적 사례분석을 활용한 혼합연구이다. '영유아교수·학습방법' 교과목에 대한 생각, 어려움, 배울점, 교사로서 잘할 수 있는 수업 역량 및 수업 전문성을 위한 경험 등을 통해 유아교사로서의 의미를 찾아보고자 하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 향후 영유아들을 대상으로 수업을 진행할 때 교수학습방법에 대한 자신들의 효능감을 높힐 수 있는 방안을 찾고자하며, 유아교육의 질 개선을 위한 기초적인 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

어린이집 통합학급 보육교사와 특수교사의 유·초 연계 중요도에 대한 인식 차이 (Differences on the Importance of Recognition of Contingency from Early Childhood to Elementary Education Between Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education Teachers at Inclusive Child Care and Education Settings)

  • Objective: In order to provide basic data that can strengthen the recognition of continuity of early childhood and primary education, early childhood education and early childhood special education teachers at inclusive child care and education settings participated in this study. Methods: The researchers conducted a survey on 192 early childhood teachers and 167 early childhood special education teachers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province. The collected data were analyzed statistically. Results: First, early childhood special education teachers were higher than early childhood teachers statistically on the prerequisite elements of continuity. Second, early childhood education teachers were higher than early childhood special education teachers statistically regarding the prerequisite educational techniques required for continuity of early childhood and primary education. In particular, early childhood teachers put more of an emphasis on learning and sociality-communication than early childhood special education teachers did. Conclusion/Implications: It is necessary that in-service education on prerequisite elements be stressed, and there be more detailed activities and education about programming and its utilization for early childhood special education teachers.
