  • In this article, vapor bubble nucleation in liquid and the evaporation process of a liquid droplet at its superheat limit were discussed from the viewpoint of molecular clustering (molecular cluster model for bubble nucleation). For the vapor bubble formation, the energy barrier against bubble nucleation was estimated by the molecular interaction due to the London dispersion force. Bubble nucleation by quantum tunneling in liquid helium under negative pressure near the absolute zero temperature and bubble nucleation on cavity free micro heaters were also presented as the homogenous nucleation processes.

  • Formation of crystal defects which may occur during and after the vacuum deposition of silver films on rocksalt substrates were studied by electron microscopy. To obtain defect free films, various evaporation conditions, such as evaporation rate, substrate temperature, substrate treatments and annealing of films were examined. Stacking faults and micro-twins are dominant defects in silver films.

  • A new method to fabricate metal electrodes on side wall of the microchannel is presented. Coulter counter allows to count the number of cell passing through the microchannel by detecting impedance variation between two electrodes. The relative position of two electrodes is important for sensitivity of impedance measurement. 100nm thick Al electrodes are deposited on the channel side wall by means of shadow evaporation.

  • The absence of deep traps for electrons in the spectrum of $As_{40}Se_{30}S_30$ localized states films obtained by ion sputtering was determined. Bipolar drift of charge carriers was found in amorphous $As_{40}Se_{30}S_30$ films of chalcogenide glassy semiconductors, obtained by ion-plasma sputtering of high-frequency, unlike the films of these materials obtained by thermal evaporation.

  • The TPS (Temperature Programmed Sublimation) technology has been developed to monitor the plane evaporation of the organic films and introduced in SID2007, P53.[4] The Alq3 organic film is deposited on various metal surface such as Cu, Ti, Invar, STS to sublimate. The TPS signal confirms that the Alq3 film consists of nano scale film phase and bulk phase on all the metal plates. The sublimation temperature of the Alq3 film was much lower ($130^{\circ}C$) than the vapor temperature ($265^{\circ}$) of the Alq3 powder.

  • In this investigation, a solar evaporation method was studied to reduce the water content of the radioactive sludge produced from the clay adsorption liquid waste treatment. The solar method to form sludge cake from sludge slurry could economically reduce the sludge volume and the operation cost of minimum 8% could be curtailed.

  • The Gaussian thickness profiles in metal plate evaporation using LPS sources have been studied for the first time. Based on our experimental data, it simulates the organic thin-film uniformity of 3% and very high material usage of 81% for large size AMOLED manufacturing.
