임계점 부근에서 이산화탄소의 증발열전달 및 압력강하 특성 연구와 상관식 개발 (Characteristics of Evaporative Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop of Carbon Dioxide and Correlation Development near the Critical Point)

  • In recent years, carbon dioxide among natural refrigerants has gained consider-able attention as an alternative refrigerant due to its excellent thermophysical properties. However, few investigations have been performed to develop useful correlations of heat trans-fer coefficients and pressure drop during evaporation of carbon dioxide. This study is aiming at providing the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop during the evaporation process of carbon dioxide. Heat is provided by a direct heating method to the test section, which was made of a seamless stainless steel tube with an inner diameter of 7.53 mm, and a length of 5.0 m. Experiments were conducted at saturation temperatures of -4 to 2$0^{\circ}C$, heat fluxes of 12 to 20 ㎾/$m^2$ and mass fluxes of 200 to 530 kg/$m^2$s. A comparison of different heat transfer correlations applicable to evaporation of carbon dioxide has been made. Based on the experiments for evaporation heat transfer and pressure drop, new correlations were developed. The newly developed empirical correlations for the heat transfer and pressure drop show average absolute deviations of 15.3% and 16.2%, respectively.

Analysis of Bi-Superconducting Thin Films Fabricated by Using the Layer by Layer Deposition and Evaporation Deposition Method

  • The BSCCO thin film fabricated by using the layer by layer deposition method was compared with the BSCCO thin film fabricated by using the evaporation method. Reevaporation in the form of Bi atoms or $Bi_2O_3$molecules easily bring out the deficiency of Bi atoms in thin film due to the long sputtering time of the layer by layer deposition. On the other hand, the respective atom numbers corresponding to BSCCO phase is concurrently supplied on the film surface in the evaporation deposition process and leads to BSCCO phase formation. Also, it is cofirmed that by optimizing the deposition condition, each single phase of the Bi2201 phase and the Bi2212 phase can be fabricated, the sticking coefficient of Bi element is clearly related to the changing of substrate temperature and the formation of the Bi2212 phase.

  • 본 연구에서는 전도열손실과 증발에 의한 열손실을 바탕으로 욕조의 자유표면에서 일어나는 온수의 열손실을 해석하고자 한다. 연구결과 욕조의 성능을 평가할 수 있는 식을 열전달 기본식으로 부터 관계식을 도출하였으며 이 식은 매우 시성적이며 정량적이었다. 특히 욕조 내 온수의 냉각은 증발에 의한 열손실이 지배적이었다. 또한, 온수의 온도 냉각 속도는 온수의 온도에는 크게 영향을 받지 않으나 욕실의 습도에 따라 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었다. 그러므로 욕조의 온도는 $41{\sim}45^{\circ}C$를 유지하며 욕실의 습도가 95%를 유지하는 것이 가장 효과적이라 판단된다.

  • $CdS_{1-x}Te_{1-x}$ polycrystalline thin films were fabricated from CdS and CdTe powder by co-evaporation method at $10^{-6}$ Torr. The Optimum evaporation condition was substrate temperature $T_{s}$=$150^{\circ}C$, evaporation time t=30 min. XRD spectrums indicated that the crystal structure chanced from zinc blonde (x$\leq$0.22) to wurtzite (x$\geq$0.96) through mixed structure (0.22$\leq$0.74) as composition value x increase to CdS. Conductive type was n-type by hot point probe method. van der Pauw method was not applicable for x<0,5 due to high hall voltages, Electrical resistivity and Hall carrier mobility were decreased as x increase, while Hall carrier concentration was increased. The optical bandgap of $CdS_{1-x}Te_{1-x}$ polycrystalline thin films measure d at R.T. had quardratic form and the bowing parameter was fitted as 1.98eV for theoretical value of 2.0eV. I-V characteristics of In/CdTe/$CdS_{x}Te_{1-x}$Au Schottky diodes showed that CdS-rich one had better forward characteristics than CdTe-rich one.

$CeO_2$ Single Buffer Deposition on RABiTS for SmBCO Coated Conductor

  • As a rule, high temperature superconducting coated conductors have multi-layered buffers consisting of seed, diffusion barrier and cap layers. Multi-buffer layer deposition requires longer fabrication time. This is one of main reasons which increases fabrication cost Thus, single buffer layer deposition seems to be important for practical coated conductor process. In this study, a single layered buffer deposition of $CeO_2$ for low cost coated conductors has been tried using thermal evaporation technique 100nm-thick $CeO_2$ layers deposited by thermal evaporation were found to act as a diffusion layer. $0.4{\mu}m$-thick SmBCO superconducting layers were deposited by thermal co-evaporation on the $CeO_2$ buffered Ni-W substrate. Critical current of 118A/$cm^2$ was obtained for the SmBCO coated conductors.

소형저장탱크의 가스발생능력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of the Maximum Evaporation Rates from LPG Storage Tanks)

  • 소형저장탱크를 이용한 벌크공급시스템은 LP가스의 공급이 중단되거나 공급량이 부족하지 않도록 LP가스 사용가구의 최대가스소비량을 초과하는 가스량을 발생시켜 공급할 수 있어야 한다. 이때 벌크공급시스템에서 공급할 수 있는 가스량은 소형저장탱크의 가스발생능력이 되며, 소형저장탱크의 선정기준이 된다. 현재 우리나라는 소형저장탱크의 충전량, 연속사용시간 등에 따른 가스발생능력 산정기준이 없어 LP가스 사용가구수에 대하여 적합한 소형저장탱크의 선정이 어려운 상태로서 소형저장탱크의 원활한 보급에 문제가 되고 있다. 본 연구는 소형저장탱크의 선정기준이 되는 가스발생능력을 충전량, 외기온도, 연속사용시간 및 충전조성 등에 따라 산정하여 제시하고자 한다.

  • An experiment was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the evaporation heat transfer for refrigerant R-134a flowing in a plate and shell heat exchanger. The data are useful in designing more compact and effective evaporators for various refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Two vertical counterflow channels were formed in the exchanger. The R-134a flows up in one channel exchanging heat with the hot water flowing down in the other channel. The effects of the average heat flux, mass flux, saturation temperature and vapor quality were examined in detail. The present data show that the evaporation heat transfer coefficient increases with the vapor quality. A rise in the refrigerant mass flux causes an increase in the $h_r$ value. A rise in the average imposed heat flux causes an increase in the $h_r$, value at the low quality. Finally, at a higer refrigerant saturation temperature the $h_r$, value is found to be lower.

  • For the environment protection, carbon dioxide as a natural refrigerant has been studied to use in an automotive air conditioning system. Hence, a numerical model has been developed to describe the evaporation phenomena of carbon dioxide flowing through very small diameter tubes. The two dimensional low-Reynolds $k-{\varepsilon}$ model was used to predict the flow phenomena of carbon dioxide in the two phase during its evaporation. Furthermore, the results obtained from the model were compared with the experiments for the validation. The heat transfer coefficient is lower, as the tube inner diameter becomes smaller. However, the amount of heat absorbed by a unit mass of carbon dioxide is greater due to more surface area. Therefore, the small diameter tube has advantage in terms of compact design of evaporator. When the inlet condition of pressure and temperature is low, the heat transfer coefficient is slightly high at the same size of tube because of the thermal properties of carbon dioxide.

증발량 추정을 위한 지표면 가용 수분 계수 (On the Surface Moisture Availability Parameters to Estimate the Surface Evaporation)

  • In order to discuss the differences among the SMP(Surface Moisture Availability Parameter), by previous researchers on the basis of their own theoretical and empirical background, we assessed the SMP according to the soil types and volumetric soil water contents. The results are as follows. There are differences among all the five SMAPs. There's a tendency that the larger grain size, the higher value of parameters. And they divided into two groups for their value: one group has parameters with exponential function and the other with cosine and linear function. The maximum difference between the two groups appears when the volumetric soil water contents are 0.07m3m-3 for sand, 0.l1m3m-3 for loam, 0.12 for clay, and 0.13m3m-3 for silt loam. So, these differences must be considered when we estimate the surface evaporation rate. From field data, the paddy field soil around Junam reservoir is classified as a silt has high wetness, 0.56. So, the parameter obtained from the field measurement is much higher than that of Clapp and Hornberger(1978)'s Table. This study treated the SMP for a certain point of time in winter season. But if we measured the soil water contents continuously, we could obtain better time-dependent parameter. 나노유체 액적의 증발에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Evaporation of Nanofluid Droplet)

  • 본 연구에서는 산화구리(CuO) 나노분말과 순수 물을 혼합하여 제조한 나노유체를 이용하여 가열된 고체표면에 있어서 나노유체 액적의 증발특성에 대한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 실험결과로부터 가열된 표면에서 나노유체 액적의 증발속도는 순수 물 액적보다 증발속도가 약간 증가하는 경향이 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이는 나노유체에 포함된 나노입자가 유체의 열전도도를 향상시켜 고체 표면에서 액적으로의 열전달이 촉진되었기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 또한 고체의 표면조도가 커질수록 액적의 증발속도가 약간 증가하였으며, 이는 고체의 표면조도가 커질수록 고체-액체의 접촉 면적이 증가하여 열전달이 촉진되었기 때문인 것으로 추정된다.
