  • The technology of Broadband LAN is required to unify, control and manage various infromation devices by sharing resources. This technology is applied for tele-conferencing, tele-control, tele-metering and 2-way CATV etc. besides Computer network by using multiple channels. This paper introduces the technology and cases of Broadband LAN which is the subnet of ISDN and the basis of FA and OA as the key-technology of MAN(Metropolitan Area Network) and WAN(Wide Area Network).

  • Spread Spectrum Communication is a core technique in CDMA system, but the problem for SS Communication schemes is synchronous method. There are DLL, Tau-dither, SO etc, in the synchronous method. But since there are analog operations, the settling is difficult and size is large. In this paper we realized Digital Delay Lock Loop (DDLL) and estimated it's performance through the Power line experiment.

  • This paper presents a variation method of the parent ship using sectional area curve & the definition of NURBS curve. That is, global variation of the hull form is made systematically by the geometrical property of sectional area curve, and Local variation of the hull form is executed by the definition of NURBS curve. Then the designer may determine New hull form considering New section area curve, design condition, etc.

  • The hydraulic structures such as aqueduct tunnels and the drainage canal of the hydroelectric power plant in Japan are almost old. Therefore, the concrete surface of the aqueduct tunnel has received damage by wear-out and the crack, etc. This study was to develop repair mortar mixed a coal ash coarse powder by using two kinds of high early strength cements. As a result, the repair mortar was obtained by substituting the EF cement (maid in Japan) and the MT cement (maid in South Korea) at a rate of 60:40, and substituting the coal ash 30% and the mixing rate 35% of the artificial aggregate for natural fine aggregate.

  • Traffic Accident Merging Index (TAMI) is developed for TMACS (Traffic Safety Information Management Complex System). TAMI is calculated by combining 'Severity Index' and 'Frequency'. The existing indexes are Traffic deaths per 100,000 population, Traffic deaths per 100,000 inhabitants/per billion veh-km, etc. However, there is no consistency in using them among local governments, so it can create confusion. Moreover, the index level is too complicated to understand. Therefore, this study suggests new traffic safety index, TAMI. It will work to improve the weaknesses and present accurate status of traffic safety in local governments.

  • This paper describes the procedures for pre-tuning and re-tuning the gains of PI controller based on output patterns -output error integral- of the unknown process which may not have any information, for example, system order, deadtime, time constant, etc. The key ideas of the proposed adaptive scheme are as follows. The scheme determines the initial gains by using ZNM (Ziegler-Nichols Method) with relay feedback, and then the adaptive algorithms by pattern recognition are introduced for re-runing the PI gains with on-line scheme whenever control conditions are changed. Because, among the various auto-tuning procedures, ANM with relay feedback has the difficulty in re-tuning with on-line and Bristol method has no comment on initial settings and has variables to pre-determine, which makes the algorithm comples, the proposed methods have the combined scheme with above two procedures to recover those problems. And this paper proposes a simple way to determine adaptive constant in Bristol method. To show the validity of the proposed method, an example is illustrated by computer simulation and a laboratory process, heat exchanger, is experimented.

  • The hydraulic structure of the hydroelectric power plant such as aqueduct tunnels and the drainage canal became old. Therefore, because the concrete surface of the aqueduct tunnel has received severe damage by wear-out and the crack etc the repair is demanded. This research examined the applicability of the repair mortar which mixed the fly ash and an artificial aggregate by using the very high early strength cement. As a result, good Quality repair mortar which satisfied the demand performance more than self-flow 270mm and compressive strength $50N/mm^2$ (age of 28days) adjusting of water cement ratio by using the MTX cement be able to be manufactured.

  • This paper presents the development technology of standard shielded resistor divider for full lightning impulse voltage. The ability of large-capacity power apparatus to withstand lighting stroke is usually evaluated by means of full lightning impulse voltage. Lightning impulse voltage test has been essential to evaluate the insulation performance of electrical power apparatus. Recently international standard (IEC 60) on high voltage measurement techniques is being revised and requests a formal traceability of high voltage measurements. Therefore, general interest for this area has grown considerably during last years, and several international intercomparisons have already completed worldwide, i.e. Europe, Japan, America etc., In this viewpoint, we have also investigated the step response of the standard shielded resistor divider, which satisfies the IEC recommendation.

  • This paper deals with a numerical study on the deformation of a mono tendon anchor head. The anchor head is used to introduce the compression to concrete, and consists of wedges and a head. All kinematics, material and contact nonlinearity are included in the precise analysis of a mono tendon anchor head. A numerical study on a mono tendon anchor head is performed to investigate effects of friction and eccentricity of load by ABAQUS. From the numerical results, it is verified that the deformation of a mono tendon anchor head is affected by characteristics of materials, boundary condition between wedge and anchor head, eccentricity of load, etc.

  • Hollywood traditional movie companies are continuously challenged by new-type companies represented by the streaming content platforms. Based on the latest market statistics, and with a multidimensional approach involving the production, distribution, projection and overseas market, etc, this paper analyzes the changes and development of North American movie industry in its process of coping with the globalization and digitalization of media in 2018, and summarizes the effective measures for Hollywood mainstream movie companies to adjust their own structures and operation mechanism to maintain their development in the environment of new media consumption.
