As many organizations have adopted and implemented ERP systems, concerns about ERP performance also have increased. Former researches studied the ERP implementation of general large or medium size enterprises but there are not enough studies on ERP systems of a specific industry domain. In this paper, we introduce a case study on ERP adoption methodology of global leading company 'D' in shipbuilding and marine engineering industry. We examined ERP implementation background, method and scope and evaluated ERP performance in perspective of both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative research usually examines ERP performance based on financial statements and qualitative study typically examines organization change or improvement. As a result, ERP implementation in shipbuilding and marine industry can improve quantitative aspects such as cost, human resource and organization performance. As qualitative analysis, business process and tools can be unified and management transparency can be improved by ERP implementation. The result of this paper will be useful guideline for organizations which are considering ERP systems.

Recently ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) package has been on of important issues in developing information systems in many Korean companies. The main objectives of this study are to analyse the case of implementing ERP system in Samsung Display Devices Co. which is rated to be successful, and to derive significant implications for effective ERP implementation. First, this study focused on showing the detailed roadmap of performing ERP implementation project which largely consists of 5 stages(planning and organizing, visioning. process redesign and mapping, testing and arrangement, and installation and roll-out to overseas subsidiaries), and explaining key activities in each stage. Second, the performance of this project was evaluated on the basis of both process-centered critieria and result-centered ones. Finally, this study intended to discuss and explicate the bottlenecks and the critical success factors in implementing this project. The findings of this case study are thought not only to be useful as a practical guideline in carrying out ERP implementation project but also to provide significant basis for constructing the theoretical framework of effective ERP implementation.

A Previous ERP studies came up with a number of critical success factors which would be worth referencing at the time of ERP implementation. However, we have not found much work describing the relationship between ERP implementation approaches and ERP effectiveness. We are strongly confident that it is effective to show these managers 'how firms approach' would greatly influence the outcome of BRP endeavor. In this regards, this study aims to show this strong tie empirically. Especially, we are interested in showing why re-engineering efforts ought to be taken prior to or simultaneously with, the ERP implementation. Our main concern was whether BPR efforts were taken with respect to ERP implementation and what roles managers or If managers have taken with respect to both BPR and ERP. In order to Present a more detail Picture of ERP implementation in Korea's S&M enterprise, we further had an intensive case study.

In this study, an overall survey of ERP system and methodology are first introduced, then an efficient way of const겨cting ERP system is suggested through a case study on S company S company has not reached the goal of ERP system as it planned and is still working on the project. The main idea for the efficient construction methodology of ERP system is that BPR (Business Process Reengineering) should be accomplished and the company should have enough time to test the ERP package and a proper ERP team organization before the ERP system is introduced. It is suggested that introduction of ERP system bring about benefits to companies in terms of effective management system.

This study has focused on the introduction each stages of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation for an agricultural company's knowledge management & innovation. We have analyzed the company's background and found some conflicts and problems caused by the stockholders while implementing ERP systems. This case study has noted well how an agricultural company including between a provider and a stakeholder could be able to settle the ERP system with an necessary customizing work into the organization. Finally, ROSEPIA's implemented ERP systems have increased not only productivity but also archived the factuality and data reliability. This study give us an implication of how an export oriented and agricultural company, ROSEPIA made its company innovated and run its organizations through knowledge management using its ERP.

ERP supports the automation and integration of business processes of enterprises and records voluminous data about the business activities of enterprises. The academe and business enterprises are focusing on process mining, which improves the performance of business processes and strengthens compliance. However, these studies focused on analysis of the business process of large companies, which adopts foreign ERP, such as SAP ERP or Oracle ERP. In comparison with foreign ERP, domestic ERP lags behind in terms of logging and managing of event data. Therefore, the application of process mining to domestic ERP is a challenging task. The present study aims to analyze domestic ERP based on process mining to overcome this challenge. This study discusses the lessons learned from a case study in a Korean cosmetics manufacturing company. Our results are expected to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean small and medium-sized enterprises that adopt domestic ERP and realize the outcomes of the large investment of the Korean government on the ERP implementation of enterprises.

A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

ERP is a new concept which attempts to combine the applications of BRP and information technology in order to enhance the competitive positions of the firms in a rapidly changing environment. It is expected that a paradigm transition will take place which transforms the current practice of in-house development into the introduction of ERP packages. In response to this trend. ERP introduction strategies need to be investigated. This paper reports the case study of Standard Telecom Co. in successfully implementing Oracle ERP applications package. It describes the background, implementation strategy, project management, benefits, and the critical success factors of the Vanguard Project.
