Recently, the structural system of public residential buildings has been changed from the reinforced concrete (RC) wall system to the (PC) wall and moment resisting systems. Thus, it is important to develop the suitable wall system in accordance with the trend of the modern structural system. This paper presents the basic study on the suitable boundary wall in high-rise buildings. The research also demonstrates the evaluation results on sound characteristics in the aspect of sound insulation. The evaluation of sound insulation capability for the commercialized wall structure was conducted based on literature survey while the measurement of sound insulation capability for the light-weght EPP concrete was performed in according to KS F2808 in laboratory. The main objective of this research is to propose the most suitable dry wall system as a sound insulation structure through the comparison and analysis of frequency characteristics and weight-acoustic attenuation.

The operation Move is defined in Chomsky (1999, 2000) as a composite operation consisting of three components: Agree, Identify and Merge, taking Agree as a necessary condition for Move. Therefore, I call this definition of Move as the Agree-based Move. In this paper, I argue that the Agree-based approach to Move cannot be maintained; I claim that the Selection-based approach to Move, in which the EPP-feature is analyzed as an s-selectional property of a head, offers a more natural account of the sentences under consideration. I believe that the three components of Move as defined in (6) happen to co-occur in the derivation of certain sentences, as the composite transformation called Passivization does in the derivation of a passive sentence like “the city was destroyed by the enemy.” On the basis of these observations, I conclude that Agree and Move should be regarded as separate computational operations; the task of Agree is to erase uninterpretable features of both probe and goal, and that of Move is to satisfy the EPP-feature, which should be taken as an s-selectional feature.

본 연구는 공정시간에 따른 전해 플라즈마 공정(Electrolytic Plasma Processing, EPP) 공정에 의해 형성된 산화 코팅층의 특성 변화를 알아보고자 한다. 실험에 사용되는 전해용액은 $Na_2SiO_3$(12g/l) + $Na_2SiF_6$(0.3g/l)+NaOH(3g/l) 기본용액에 다양한 농도의 NaOH(0-5g/l) 첨가한 전해용액을 사용하였다. AZ61 마그네슘 합금을 모재($22{\Phi}{\times}10mm$)로 사용하였으며 실험은 5분-60분 동안 진행되었다. 공정시간에 변화에 따른 EPP 코팅층 특성을 측정한 결과 공정시간이 증가함에 따라 코팅층 표면의 기공 크기가 커지고 코팅층 내에 기공수가 즐어드는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 XRD 분석을 통하여 형성된 코팅층에서 MgO, Mg2SiO4 상이 나타난 것을 확인할 수 있었다.(No. 2011-0030058),(2012H1B8A2026212)

One way in which a comparison can be mode between various reinforced concrete structures is to compare the rate of energy absorption capacity. It is useful to use a well-known standard hysteretic rule as a benchmark for comparisons. The concept of energy absorption efficiency with respect to an elaste-perfectly plastic (EPP) system has been adopted. The normalized cumulative energy, cumulative plastic drift and energy response spectra are used for the method. The previous study using the energy spectra developed by Chang and Mander (1994) indicates the cumulative plastic demand for most earthquakes to be 0.1 rad., but a conservative upper bound of 0.2 rad. could be expected for a maximum credible earthquake. From the present study, the energy absorption efficiency in R.C. structures with respect to the EPP system may range in 30%-45% for most cases.

자체방제계획서는 위험물질의 등급, 주위환경의 피해, 사고대응계획 등으로 구성된 체계적인 관리제도이다. 자체 방제계획서 작성지원 프로그램의 개발 목적은 사고를 예방하고, 사고를 제어할 수 있도록 안전관리 시스템을 각 시설에 제공하는 것이다. 이 프로그램은 MSDS(Material Safety Data Sheet), SOP(Standard Operation Procedure), ERP(Emergency Response Plan) 등 일반적인 안전관련 자료를 포함하고 있다. 자체방제계획서는 위험 확인, 평가, 예방 계획, 안전 분석 등으로 구성되어있다. 또한, 자체방제계획서 작성지원 프로그램은 정부 또는 관련 기관이 중소기업에서 발생 가능한 사고를 관리하는데 유용하다.

Understanding the behavior of soil under cyclic loading conditions is essential for assessing its response to seismic events and potential liquefaction. This study investigates the effect of non-plastic fines content (FC) on excess pore pressure generation in medium-density sand-silt mixtures subjected to strain-controlled cyclic direct simple shear (CDSS) tests. The investigation is conducted by analyzing excess pore pressure (EPP) ratios and the number of cycles to liquefaction (Ncyc-liq) under varying shear strain levels and FC values. The study uses Jumunjin sand and silica silt with FC values ranging from 0% to 40% and shear strain levels of 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5%, and 1.0%. The findings indicate that the EPP ratio increases rapidly during loading cycles, with higher shear strain levels generating more EPP and requiring fewer cycles to reach liquefaction. At 1.0% and 0.5% shear strain levels, FC has a limited effect on Ncyc-liq. However, at a lower shear strain level of 0.2%, increasing FC from 0 to 10% reduces Ncyc-liq from 42 to 27, and as FC increases further, Ncyc-liq also increases. In summary, this study provides valuable insights into the behavior of soil under cyclic loading conditions. It highlights the significance of shear strain levels and FC values in excess pore pressure generation and liquefaction susceptibility.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a degenerative neuromuscular disease of unknown etiology in which the upper and lower motor neurons are progressively destroyed. Recent evidences support the role of autoimmune mechanisms in the pathogenesis of ALS. This study investigated the effects of sera from ALS patients on neuromuscular transmission in phrenic nerve-hemidiaphragm preparations and on calcium currents of single isolated dorsal root ganglion (DRG) cells in mice. Mice were injected with either control sera from healthy adults or ALS sera from 18 patients with ALS of sporadic form, for three days. Miniature end plate potential (MEPP) and nerve-evoked end plate potential (EPP) were measured using intracellular recording technique and the quantal content was determined. Single isolated DRG cells were voltage-clamped with the whole-cell configuration and membrane currents were recorded. Sera from 14 of 18 ALS patients caused a significant increase in MEPP frequency in normal Ringer's solution $(4.62{\pm}0.14\;Hz)$ compared with the control $(2.18{\pm}0.15\;Hz).$ In a high $Mg^{2+}/low\;Ca^{2+}$ solution, sera from 13 of 18 ALS patients caused a significant increase in MEPP frequency, from $2.18{\pm}0.31$ Hz to $6.09{\pm}0.38$ Hz. Sera from 11 of 18 patients produced a significant increase of nerve-evoked EPP amplitude, from $0.92{\pm}0.05$ mV to $1.30{\pm}0.04$ mV, while the other seven ALS sera did not alter EPP amplitude. In the ALS group, EPP quantal content was also elevated by the sera of 14 patients (from $1.49{\pm}0.07$ to $2.35{\pm}0.07).$ MEPP frequency and amplitude in wobbler mouse were $4.03{\pm}0.53$ Hz and $1.37{\pm}0.18$ mV, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of wobbler controls (wobblers without the symptoms of wobbler). Sera from ALS patients significantly reduced HVA calcium currents of DRG cells to 42.7% at -10 mV. Furthermore, the inactivation curve shifted to more negative potentials with its half-inactivation potential changed by 6.98 mV. There were, however, significant changes neither in the reversal potential of $I_{Ca}$ nor in the I-V curve. From these results it was concluded that: 1) The serum factors of sporadic ALS patients increase neuromuscular transmission and can alter motor nerve terminal presynaptic function. This suggests that ALS serum factors may play an important role in the early stage of ALS, and 2) Calcium currents in DRG cells were reduced and rapidly inactivated by ALS sera, suggesting that in these cells, ALS serum factors may exert interaction with the calcium channel.
