  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology that can input identification information to microchip and make goods, animals, persons recognized, chased, and managed using radio frequency, and is founded on the core technology of ubiquitous environment of the future. In this paper, we propose a RFID integrated system designed to manage the lifecycle of an individual product efficiently. The proposed system can enable traceability and visibility of items through their entire life by integrating distribution and banking information on the basis of EPCglobal Network. It may provide the infra of Digital Manufacturing and RTE (Real Time Enterprise) and effective information sharing structure with existing legacy system (ERP, CRM, SCM) by real time.

  • RFID tag awareness information and sensor data continuously change, and are categorized with the position. They are able to similar data in the side, called massive data to change in time. If two data are managed together, a convergence process of object awareness along change of environment is possible. If RFID middleware and EPCIS repository realized the integrated system, it is usable with the functions of middleware and repository at the same time. The real-time awareness information retrieval is possible without process, getting information from another middleware. In this paper, it is able to continuously read information from RFID reader and sensor equipment and store to database in order to make general object awareness and an object retrieval dependent on an environmental information change possible by real time. ALE-compliant middleware and EPCIS repository proposing for standards at EPCglobal is designed and implemented to be able to deal with RFID and sensor data to bases on the collected data.

  • This paper presents a design of the control block of a passive UHF RFID tag IC according to EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 UHF RFID 1.1.0 Protocol. The control block includes a PIE block, CRC5/CRC16, a Slot Counter, a Random Number Generator, a Main Control Block, a Encoder and a Memory Interface. The control block has been designed using the Verilog HDL and has been simulated. Functional simulation results for the overall control block operation show that 11 instructions with 7 states are operated correctly. Also, the control block has been implemented with 36,230 gates by Synopsys Design Compiler and Apollo using Magnachip 0.25$\mu$m technology.

  • In the recent years, the companies have manually recorded a production status in a work diary or have mainly used a bar code in order to collect each process's progress status, production performance and quality information in the production and logistics process in real time. But, it requires an additional work because the worker's record must be daily checked or the worker must read it with the bar code scanner. At this time, data's accuracy is decreased owing to the worker's intention or mistake, and it causes the problem of the system's reliability. Accordingly, in order to solve such problem, the companies have introduced RFID which comes into the spotlight in the latest automatic identification field. RFID is an automatic identification technology by radio communication technology that allows us to identify or record information without contacting the corresponding object, and as Gen2 and EPCIS, EPCglobal's standard tag for RFID, have recently been established, it will be introduced to the whole computation industry. This study suggests RFID type Modeling Notation for analyzing logistics flow to improve MES focusing on extended model of EPCIS, and EPCISEvent Template in manufacturing industry.

In order to introduce the RFID technology, the process flow must be analyzed, but the ASME sign used by most manufacturing companies has the difficult problem when the aggregation event occurs. Hence, in this study, the RFID logistic flow analysis Modeling Notation was proposed as the signature which can analyze the manufacturing logistic flow amicably, and the manufacturing logistic flow by industry type was analyzed by using the proposed RFID logistic flow analysis signature. Also, to monitor real-time information through EPCglobal network, EPCISEvent template by industry was proposed, and it was utilized as the benchmarking case of companies for RFID introduction. This study suggested to ensure the decision-making on real-time information through EPCglobal network. This study is intended to suggest the Modeling Notation suitable for RFID characteristics, and the study is intended to establish the business step and to present the vocabulary.

  • As the interests on RFID technologies increase, a lot of research activities on RFID middleware systems to handle the data acquired by RFID readers are going on actively. Meanwhile, even though various kinds of RFID middleware methodologies and related techniques have been proposed, the common data type which is dealt with in those systems is an EPC code, mainly. Also, there are few researches of the implementation of collecting the stream data queued from RFID readers endlessly and without blocking, classifying the data into some groups according to usage, and sending the resulting data to specific applications. In this paper, we propose the method of data handling in RFID middleware to efficiently process an EPC event stream data using detail filtering, checking of data modification, creation of data set to transfer, data grouping, and various kinds of RFID data format transform. Our method is based on a de facto international standard interface defined in the ALE middleware specification by EPCglobal, and application and service users can directly set various kinds of conditions to handle the stream data.

  • Operating on its own to develop a system or based on the standard to setup and operating of RFID System. If you want to operate RFID system yourself then It is no problem to use its own to develop a system, but have to implementation RFID System based standard for the system integration and data linkage in multiple companies or base. In this paper, I propose an EPCIS Capturing Application of the element for applying an RFID-based EPC Network as an international civil standards organization EPCglobal. EPCIS Capturing Application generation is a message for transmission to EPCIS receives the data transmitted from the reader and middleware to serve to transfer the EPCIS. This paper also proposes Capture Interface capable of receiving the data of the equipment does not use the ALE Interface as a portable RFID reader ALE Interface, as well as used by the RFID reader to implement a fixed system for use in the field. In this paper, we propose a EPCIS Capturing Application for tracking the history RFID is applied to the finished product. It is possible to take advantage to be applied to all systems based on the EPCglobal standard through proposed the EPCIS Capturing Application.
