This study concerns DB quality of the Web databases which has been produced in medical science. For the quality evaluation of Embase and PubMed, 10 evaluating criteria were developed on the basis of literature review. The evaluation result showed that PubMed has superiority to the currentness, accuracy, completness, consistency, ease of use, customer support, searchability, cost, and network ＆ H/W on DB, but Embase has only superiority to the coverage. It is needed for purchasing, user training, and library service based on the above evaluation result.

It is practiced by many Korean medical institutions to give weights to medical papers published n foreign journals covered by major international abstracts and indexes (A&I) in the evaluation of research performance. In an attempt to recommend the databases to be used for the evaluation of KOrean medical research papers, this study measured the extent of overlap records of Korean medical papaers retrieved from the three major medical databases, EMBASE, MEDLINE and SCISEARCH. Korean papers published in foreign journals between 1990 to 1995 were analyzed. It also analyzed the characteristics of journals where these Korean medical papers are published with respect to their subjects, publishing countries and languages. It is found that these is no difference among three databsases as far as the characteristics of journals where Korean medical papers are published are concerned with respect to their subjects, publishing countries and languages. Thus the number of papers retrieved from each database should be the major criterion to recommend the A&I databases to be used in the evalua ion of research performance. If one database must be chosen for the evaluation of Korean medical papers, it is probably the best to utilize SCISEARCH which is the most efficient database for verifying Korean medical papers in foreign journals. If two databases can be used, then EMBASE should be the next choice.

여러 색인들에 수록된 한국의학논문의 중복정도를 연구하여, 연구업적을 효율적으로 평가하기 위한 색인 선정방법을 제시하고자 하였다. EMBASE, MEDLINE, SCISEARCH에 수록된 1990년에서 1995년 사이의 한국의학논문 중에서, 외국 학술지에 게재된 한국의학논문의 건수와 연도별 증가추이를 조사 분석하였다. 1990년, 1992년, 1994년 3개년을 선정하여, 2개 이상 데이터베이스에서 중복 검색된 논문수, 특정 데이터베이스에서만 검색된 논문수, 그 논문들이 실린 학술지를 분석하였다. 의학연구업적을 평가할 때에, 한 개의 데이터베이스를 사용한다면 한국의학논문이 가장 많이 검색된 SCISEARCH를, 두 개의 데이터베이스를 활용한다면 EMBASE를 추가하는 것이 효율적인 데이터베이스 선정방법이라고 할 수 있다.

A review of literature discussing the status and impact of mainstream Korean research revealed that there have been few studies carried out to investigate the status of Korean mainstream medical research and that we need to know exact status of Korean medical papers published in mainstream journals. Accordingly, a study is undertaken to measure mainstream medical publication output by authors at Korean institutions and its growth during the 1980s as recorded in MEDLINE. EMBASE and SCI. For comparison purpose, a measurement of mainstream publication output of chemistry, a scientific field which showed the best mainstream performance, is also made. The database searching is limited to SCI for chemistry records.

LEXIS/NEXIS는 미국의 LEXIS/NEXIS사에서 제공하는 온라인 데이터뱅크로 세계의 비즈니스 뉴스, 법률 및 국가에 관한 정보를 전문형태로 제공한다. 1973년 최초로 상업목적으로 전문을 제공하게 된 LEXIS/NEXIS사는 EMBASE 데이터베이스를 제공하는 영국의 REP사의 자회사이다. 현재 온라인 정보를 제공하는몇 개의 회사 가운데서 가장 많이 이용되고 있다. 미국 오하이오주 데이톤에 있는 LEXIS/NEXIS사의 LEXIS/NEXIS를 알아보자.

최근 인터넷과 정보통신기술의 발달로 정보검색시스템과 DB의 구축 및 정보서비스가 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 인터넷의 등장과 함께 DB 검색은 도서관이나 정보센터는 물론 일반 국민들에게도 생활화되어 가고 있다. 따라서 늘어나는 DB 중 검색목적이나 필요에 적합한 DB를 선정하여 효율적으로 이용하는 일이 점점 더 중요해지고 있다. 이와 같이 적합한 DB를 선정하여 효율적으로 이용하는 일에는 정보검색시스템이나 DB에 대한 올바른 평가가 전제되어야만 가능한 일이다. (중략)

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate recent clinical studies on effect of acupuncture for Autism Spectrum Disorder in other countries. We have analyzed the studies on effect of acupuncture for Autism Spectrum Disorder within randomized controlled trail (RCT) for 6years (from 2010 to 2015). Methods The search database includes Medline, Embase, Cochrane library and CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). To narrow the search, the following key search terms were used: 'autism or ASD or Asperger's Syndrome or pervasive developmental disorder, acupuncture'. The search was limited to the publication date from 2010 to 2015. 7 control studies in Medlin, Embase, Cochrane library and 5 control studies in CNKI were selected for analysis. Results and Conclusions 1. The acupuncture and rehabiliation treatment is more effective than only acupuncture treatment. Especially, Retention of needling is helpful. 2. It is necessary to set up standard scale in assessment of ASD patients and serum arginine-vasopressin (AVP) can be substitution. 3. Head acupuncture and tongue acupuncture is effective for ASD.

The purpose of this study is to explore text data of nursing start-up. 55 literatures were extracted from MEDLINE, Embase and Cochrane Library Data BASE. Text network analysis applied by using python network program. Key words with highest frequency and degree centrality were 'business', 'care', 'nursing', 'healthcare', 'service'. Keywords with highest degree centrality were 'mission', 'vision', 'team'. Based on the results nursing entrepreneurship support should be provided to develop competitive nursing services reflecting the specificity and science of nursing, to strengthen business competencies essential for nursing entrepreneurship, to expand nursing expertise and to present role models. The result will serve a basement to development systematic educational program and theory in nursing start-up.

This study was systematic review to confirm the effects of the yoga on dysmenorrhea. Seven articles were extracted from the CINAHL, the Cochrane library, Embase, PsycINFO, PubMed, and Koreamed electronic databases. Menstrual pain intensity and duration, menstrual distress, QOL, anxiety, anger, and depression levels, homocysteine, TSH, FSH, LH, and prolactin levels were decreased significantly in the yoga group, compared with control group. These findings imply that yoga are a favorable intervention for dysmenorrhea.

This study explored the effectiveness of virtual reality education interventions for nursing students in adult nursing practicum. This systematic review extracted intervention methods, research topics, outcome variables, and evidence synthesis of effectiveness. Seven studies were extracted from the databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and RISS. This study showed effects on knowledge, performance, attitude, critical thinking, self-efficacy, information assessment ability, problem-solving ability, self-confidence, and efficiency of nursing students. Therefore, virtual reality educational intervention contribute to enhance the competencies in adult nursing practicum.
