Recently, vibrational signal processing as a tool of machinery diagnosis has been actively studying. In this study, a new scheme for detection and diagnosis of localized defects in ball bearings, using unwrapped phase spectrum of FFT is described. The characteristic phase spectra for such defects shows linearly varying patterns due to the repetitive impact signals generated by localized defects, i.e., one linear line for single defect and various linearly changing shape according to angle between the two defect located points. The effectiveness of this method is confirmed by computer simulation and experiments on bearing with single or double defects at different locations.
This paper presents an arificial neuro-fuzzy technique based prtial discharge (PD) pattern classifier to power system application. This may require a complicated analysis method employ -ing an experts system due to very complex progressing discharge form under exter-nal stress. After referring briefly to the developments of artificical neural network based PD measurements, the paper outlines how the introduction of new emerging technology has resulted in the design of a number of PD diagnostic systems for practical applicaton of residual lifetime prediction. The appropriate PD data base structure and selection of learning data size of PD pattern based on fractal dimentsional and 3-D PD-normalization, extraction of relevant characteristic fea-ture of PD recognition are discussed. Some practical aspects encountered with unknown stress in the neuro-fuzzy techniques based real time PD recognition are also addressed.
The rifle impact of human body is affected by geometry of human for rifling. The interaction of human-rifle system influence a firing accuracy. In this paper, impact analysis of human model for standing postures with two B.C. carried out. ADAMS code and LifeMOD is used in impact analysis of human model and modeling of the human body, respectively. On the shooting, human model is affected by rifle impact during the 0.001 second. Also, Because Human Natural frequency is 5-200Hz, human impact is considered during 0.2-0.005 sec. Dut to the Firng test, Performed simulation time for shooting is 0.1 second. Applied constraint condition to human-rifle system is rotating and spherical condition. Also, The resulrt of changin the position of the grip is dfferent from the each other. As the results, The human model of firing was built successfully.
Some nano hair systems in the nature are found to show excellent adhesive characteristic, which is called dry adhesive, and synthetic nano hairs to mimic these adhesiveness are believed to have many applications. To develop a practical synthetic dry adhesive system, we mold nano hairs on plastic substrates using thermoplstic materials including COC, PP, PC and PMMA. and estimate the moldability and the adhesive characteristic. As a template for molding nano hairs, AAO membrane is first adopted, which is 60um thick and 13mm in diameter. This membrane has about a billion of through-holes of which diameter is around 200nm. This AAO membrane and the pellet of materials are stacked in the mold and pressed to mold after heating up to be melted. The AAO membrane is removed using KOH to obtain the molded nano hairs. As a result, the diameter of the molded hairs is around 200nm and the length is $2um{\sim}60um$ depending on the molding conditions and materials. The molded nano hair substrates is estimated to show much better adhesive characteristic than a substrate without nano hairs.
In this paper, a new method to track the maximum power point is presented. The proposed scheme achieves the maximum power the step-up chopper, which tracks the maximum power point by sensing only the actual current from the photovoltaic array. Also it adopts the protect ion circuit to protect the battery system against the overvoltage and overvoltage by utilizing hysterisis characteristic.
The use of a marker gene in a transformation process aims to give a selective advantage to the transformed cells, allowing them to grow faster and better, and to kill the non-transformed cells. In general, the selective gene is introduced into plant genome along with the genes of interest. In some cases, the marker gene can be the gene of interest that will confer an agronomic characteristic, such as herbicide resistance. In this review we list and discuss the use of the most common selective marker genes on plant transformation and the effects of their respective selective agents. These genes could be divided in categories according their mode of action: genes that confer resistance to antibiotics and herbicides; and genes for positive selection. The contention of the marker gene flow through chloroplast transformation is further discussed. Moreover, strategies to recover marker-free transgenic plants, involving multi-auto-transformation (MAT), co-transformation, site specific recombination and intragenomic relocation of transgenes through transposable elements, are also reviewed.
Let $R = k[y_1,\cdots,y_n] \otimes E[x_1, \cdots, x_n]$ with characteristic $k = p > 2$ (odd prime), where $$\mid$y_i$\mid$ = 2, $\mid$x_i$\mid$ = 1$ and $y_i = \betax_i, \beta$ is the Bockstein homomorphism. Topologically, $R = H^*(B(Z/p)^n,k)$. For a symmetric group $\sum_n, R^{\sum_n} = k[\sigma_1,\cdots,\sigma_n] \otimes E[d\sigma_1, \cdots, d\sigma_n]$ where d is the derivation satisfying $d(y_i) = x_i$ and $d(x_iy_i) = x_iy_i + x_jy_i, 1 \leq i, j \leq n$. We give a direct proof of this theorem by using induction.
D.K. Harrison [5] has shown that if R and S are fields of characteristic different from 2, then two Witt rings W(R) and W(S) are isomorphic if and only if W(R)/I(R)$^{3}$ and W(S)/I(S)$^{3}$ are isomorphic where I(R) and I(S) denote the fundamental ideals of W(R) and W(S) respectively. In [1], J.K. Arason and A. Pfister proved a corresponding result when the characteristics of R and S are 2, and, in [9], K.I. Mandelberg proved the result when R and S are commutative semi-local rings having 2 a unit. In this paper, we prove the result when R and S are 2-fold full rings. Throughout this paper, unless otherwise specified, we assume that R is a commutative ring having 2 a unit. A quadratic space (V, B, .phi.) over R is a finitely generated projective R-module V with a symmetric bilinear mapping B: V*V.rarw.R which is nondegenerate (i.e., the natural mapping V.rarw.Ho $m_{R}$ (V, R) induced by B is an isomorphism), and with a quadratic mapping .phi.:V.rarw.R such that B(x,y)=(.phi.(x+y)-.phi.(x)-.phi.(y))/2 and .phi.(rx)= $r^{2}$.phi.(x) for all x, y in V and r in R. We denote the group of multiplicative units of R by U(R). If (V, B, .phi.) is a free rank n quadratic space over R with an orthogonal basis { $x_{1}$, .., $x_{n}$}, we will write < $a_{1}$,.., $a_{n}$> for (V, B, .phi.) where the $a_{i}$=.phi.( $x_{i}$) are in U(R), and denote the space by the table [ $a_{ij}$ ] where $a_{ij}$ =B( $x_{i}$, $x_{j}$). In the case n=2 and B( $x_{1}$, $x_{2}$)=1/2, we reserve the notation [ $a_{11}$, $a_{22}$] for the space.the space.e.e.e.

We have measured the temperature dependence of thermoelectric power (TEP) and resistivity for the Sr$_{1-x}K_xBiO_3$ superconductor (x=0.45-0.6). At T=10.2K, the resisitivity starts to increase from zero and a rather broad superconducting phase transition (${\Delta}$T ${\sim}$ 2.3K) is observed. TEP at room temperature has a small negative value ( S =-1.96${\mu}$V/K), characteristic of metallic-like TEP. The temperature dependence of TEP shows two distinct features. With decreasing temperature from room temperature, the absolute value of TEP decreases and the sign of TEP changes from negative to positive around 200k. Also, the negative slope of TEP(dS/dT) decreases substantially and becomes rather flat at around 160k, which is a feature already noted in Ba$_{1-x}K_xBiO_3$[1].
