This paper considers the reliability computation of the network with dependent components and a software system is developed for supporting the reliability analysis and improvement of the system reliability. At first, We propose the common cause failure and load sharing models as the typical models considering the dynamic behaviors of networks with dependent components. Secondly, the algorithm is proposed to obtain the network reliability and reliability importance of component. The software, Delphi, is used to develop the our reliability analysis system.

A novel neural network model, termed the standard neural network model (SNNM), similar to the nominal model in linear robust control theory, is suggested to facilitate the synthesis of controllers for delayed (or non-delayed) nonlinear systems composed of neural networks. The model is composed of a linear dynamic system and a bounded static delayed (or non-delayed) nonlinear operator. Based on the global asymptotic stability analysis of SNNMs, Static state-feedback controller and dynamic output feedback controller are designed for the SNNMs to stabilize the closed-loop systems, respectively. The control design equations are shown to be a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various convex optimization algorithms to determine the control signals. Most neural-network-based nonlinear systems with time delays or without time delays can be transformed into the SNNMs for controller synthesis in a unified way. Two application examples are given where the SNNMs are employed to synthesize the feedback stabilizing controllers for an SISO nonlinear system modeled by the neural network, and for a chaotic neural network, respectively. Through these examples, it is demonstrated that the SNNM not only makes controller synthesis of neural-network-based systems much easier, but also provides a new approach to the synthesis of the controllers for the other type of nonlinear systems.

This paper proposes an identification method using a self recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) for dynamic systems. The architecture of the proposed SRWNN is a modified model of the wavelet neural network (WNN). But, unlike the WNN, since a mother wavelet layer of the SRWNN is composed of self-feedback neurons, the SRWNN has the ability to store the past information of the wavelet. Thus, in the proposed identification architecture, the SRWNN is used for identifying nonlinear dynamic systems. The gradient descent method with adaptive teaming rates (ALRs) is applied to 1.am the parameters of the SRWNN identifier (SRWNNI). The ALRs are derived from the discrete Lyapunov stability theorem, which are used to guarantee the convergence of an SRWNNI. Finally, through computer simulations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed SRWNNI.
In this paper, a blackbox approach is carried out to model the nonlinear dynamic bushing model. One-axis durability test is performed to describe the mechanical behavior of typical vehicle elastomeric components. The results of the tests are used to develop an empirical bushing model with an artificial neural network. The back propagation algorithm is used to obtain the weighting factor of the neural network. Since the output for a dynamic system depends on the histories of inputs and outputs, Narendra's algorithm of 'NARMAX' form is employed in the neural network bushing module. A numerical example is carried out to verify the developed bushing model.

In this paper, we simulate the power system transient stability of Kwang Yang steel works using object-oriented programming (OOP). OOP is a more flexible method than procedural programming. There are several advantages in dynamic system simulation using OOP, The maintenance and repair of program are easy because it is sufficient to modify necessary parts which correspond to the change of system without overall change of program. We have implemented a graphical man-machine interface (MMI) that can be used draw one-line system diagram and analyze power flow and dynamic stability. The implemented MMI also provide a graphical viewer that display dynamic stability analysis results by mouse event handling. The proposed method have been applied to Kwang Yang steel works network for on-line dynamic stability analysis. The dynamic behaviour of 17 synchronous generators and 25 synchronous motors has been studied in the Kwang Yang network.

Electroactive polymers have attracted considerable attention in recent years due to their sensing and actuating properties which make them a material of choice for a wide range of applications including sensors, biomimetic robots, and biomedical micro devices. This paper presents an effective modeling strategy for nonlinear large deformation (small strains and moderate rotations) dynamic analysis of polymer actuators. Considering that the complicated electro-chemo-mechanical dynamics of these actuators is a drawback for their application in functional devices, establishing a mathematical model which can effectively predict the actuator's dynamic behavior can be of paramount importance. To effectively predict the actuator's dynamic behavior, a comprehensive mathematical model is proposed correlating the input voltage and the output bending displacement of polymer actuators. The proposed model, which is based on the rigid finite element (RFE) method, consists of two parts, namely electrical and mechanical models. The former is comprised of a ladder network of discrete resistive-capacitive components similar to the network used to model transmission lines, while the latter describes the actuator as a system of rigid links connected by spring-damping elements (sdes). Both electrical and mechanical components are validated through experimental results.

Network externalities are essentially dynamic in that the value consumers feel about a product is affected by the size of the existing customer base that uses that product. However, existing studies on network externalities analyzed the effects of network externalities in a static way, not dynamic. In this study, unlike previous studies, the impact of network externalities on price competition in a vertically differentiated market is dynamically analyzed. To this end, a two-period duopoly game model was used to reflect the dynamic aspects of network externalities. Based on the game model, the Nash equilibria for price, sales volume, and revenue were derived and numerically analyzed. The results can be summarized as follows. First, if high-end product has strong market power, the high-end product vendor takes almost all benefits of the network externality. Second, when high-end product has strong market power, the low-end product will take over most of the initial sales volume increase. Third, when market power of high-end product is not strong, it can be seen that the effects of network externalities on the high and low-end products are generally proportional to the difference in quality. Lastly, if there exists a strong network externality, it is shown that the presence of low-end product can be more profitable for high-end product vendor. In other words, high-end product vendor has incentive to disclose some technologies for the market entrance of low-end product, even if it has exclusive rights to the technologies. In that case, however, it is shown that the difference in quality should be maintained significantly.
We analyzed romance of the three kingdoms written by Luo Guanzhong by using complex network to compare its properties with those of social network. The three kingdom network has a scale free and hierarchical network properties. Human-human interaction networks are dramatically changing in response to time and space. Due to lack of the dynamic interacting data, the researches only focus to analysis for properties of the statical networks. The romance of the three kingdoms is a Chinese historical novel based upon events from the end of the Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms era of China, and the reunification of the land. There are over a thousand characters, over a three thousand human-human interactions, and the dynamic changed in human-human interactions in the historical novel. Here, we introduce that a possible method for analyzing about dynamic changing of the complex network.

A mulitpath MIN(Multistage Interconnection Network), CSMP(Chained Shuffle Multi-Path) network, is proposed, having fault-tolerance and dynamic reroutability. The number of stages and the number of links between adjacent stagges are the same as in single path MINs, so the overall hardware complexity is considerably reduced in comparison with other multipath MINs. The CSMP networks feature links between switches belonging to the same state, forming loops of switches. The network can tolerate multiple faults, up to (N/4)*(log$_2$N-1), having occured in any stages including the first and the last ones(N:NO. of input). To analyze reliability, terminal reliability (TR) and mean time to failure( MTTE) age given for the networks, and the TR figures are compared to those of other static and dynamic rerouting multipath MINs. Also the MTTE figures are compared. The performance of the proposed network with respect to its bandwidth (BW) and probability of acceptance(PA) is analyzed and is compared to that of other more complex multipath MINs. The cost efficiency analysis of reliability and performance shows that the network is more cost-effective than other previously proposed fault-tolerant multipath MINs.
