  • Sewerage is the system that improves the quality of human life and prevents many disasters such as floods. However the investigators in Korea only have been concerned about the sewer system, so the sewage treatment plant stays in the basic level like mapping. For example, only one attribute can be recognized in the linear object. Because of this limitation, it makes difficult to manage the linear attribute regarding to the sewage pipe plan. And it is impossible to control a partial (point type, line type) attribute changes of the linear object. We will therefore present the applicable method for the attribute changes of the linear object like the sewage pipe plans. For this reason, this paper is designed on the basis of Dynamic Segmentation(DS). DS has the advantage of giving the attribute value to the exact place in the linear object. As a result of using DS, the variety environment changes around the sewage pipes are applied to the building sewerage data. This also makes it possible to get a precise estimation for the maximum dirty water amount.

  • This paper is a basic study for making a system that can predict the success and failure of entertainment contents at the initial stage of production. It proposes the user's emotion modeling of dynamic narrative on entertainment contents. To make this possible, 1) dynamic narrative emotion model is proposed based on theoretical research of narrative structure and cognitive emotion model. 2) configuring the emotion types and emotion value, proposed model of three emotion parameter(desire, expectation, emotion type) are derived. 3)To measure user's emotion in each story event of dynamic narrative, cognitive behavior and description of user(film, game) is established. The earlier studies on the user research of conceptual, analytic approach is aimed of predicting on review of the media and user's attitude, and consequently these results is delineated purely descriptive. In contrast, this paper is proposed the method of user's emotion modeling on dynamic narrative. It would be able to contributed to the emotional evaluation of entertainment contents using specific information.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of recreational exercise on cognition, depression, dynamic balance and leg strength in elderly women. This study was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. Subjects were divided into two group(exercise group=14, control group=13). Experimental group conducted recreational exercise program for eight-week. Cognition was assessed by K-WAIS(object assembly & digit symbol) and depression were assessed by questionnaire. Dynamic balance(DB) and leg strength(LS) were assessed by 244cm up & go and sit to stand respectively. The collected data analyzed by Wilcoxon singed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. The exercise group significantly improved cognition(object assembly) and DB, but control group significantly reduced DB. DB in exercise group were significantly greater than in control group after eight-week. The program was effective on cognition and dynamic balance in elderly women.

  • The objectives of this study are to develop a state-space form of stochastic dynamic storage function routing model and to test the model performance for real-time flow forecast. The selected study area is the main Han River starting from Paldang Dam site to Indogyo station and the 13 flood events occurred from 1987 to 1998 are selected for computing model parameters and testing the model performance. It was shown that the optimal model parameters are quite different depending on Hood events, but the values used on field work also give reasonable results in this study area. It is also obvious that the model performance from the stochastic-dynamic model developed in this study gives more accurate and reliable results than that from the existing deterministic model. Analysis for allowable forecast lead time leads that under the current time step the reasonable predicted downstream flows in 5 hours time advance are obtained from the stochastic dynamic model on relatively less lateral inflow event in the study area.

  • This study purpose to develop simulation model of optimal design condition of urban storm sewer system considering risk. Urban Storm Sewer Optimal Design Model(USSOD) can compute pipe capacity, pipe slope, crown elevation, excavation depth, risk and return cost in the condition of design discharge. Rational formula is adopted for design discharge and Manning's formula is used for pipe capacity. Discrete differential dynamic programming(DDDP) technique which is a kind of dynamic programming(DP) is used for optimization and first order second moment approximation method and uncertainty analysis is also for developing model. USSOD is applied to hypothetical drainage basin to test and verify, which resulted economical and efficient design in urban drainage sewer system.

  • This paper presents LiDAR static obstacle map based vehicle dynamic state estimation algorithm for urban autonomous driving. In an autonomous driving, state estimation of host vehicle is important for accurate prediction of ego motion and perceived object. Therefore, in a situation in which noise exists in the control input of the vehicle, state estimation using sensor such as LiDAR and vision is required. However, it is difficult to obtain a measurement for the vehicle state because the recognition sensor of autonomous vehicle perceives including a dynamic object. The proposed algorithm consists of two parts. First, a Bayesian rule-based static obstacle map is constructed using continuous LiDAR point cloud input. Second, vehicle odometry during the time interval is calculated by matching the static obstacle map using Normal Distribution Transformation (NDT) method. And the velocity and yaw rate of vehicle are estimated based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) using vehicle odometry as measurement. The proposed algorithm is implemented in the Linux Robot Operating System (ROS) environment, and is verified with data obtained from actual driving on urban roads. The test results show a more robust and accurate dynamic state estimation result when there is a bias in the chassis IMU sensor.

  • Recently, as the demand for real-time processing increases, studies on a dynamic graph that changes over time has been actively done. There is a connected components processing algorithm as one of the algorithms for analyzing dynamic graphs. GPUs are suitable for large-scale graph calculations due to their high memory bandwidth and computational performance. However, when computing the connected components of a dynamic graph using the GPU, frequent data exchange occurs between the CPU and the GPU during real graph processing due to the limited memory of the GPU. The proposed scheme utilizes the Weighted-Quick-Union algorithm to process large-scale graphs on the GPU. It supports fast connected components computation by applying the size to the connected component label. It computes the connected component by determining the parts to be recalculated and minimizing the data to be transmitted to the GPU. In addition, we propose a processing structure in which the GPU and the CPU execute asynchronously to reduce the data transfer time between GPU and CPU. We show the excellence of the proposed scheme through performance evaluation using real dataset.

  • Younger generations use a variety of visual media, such as smartphones, televisions, and computers. Due to the development of visual media, the health of eye was weakening. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of eye health and dynamic visual activity on eye muscle stimulation with eye movement and therapeutic massage in university students. 38 university students in their 20s were divided into a control group(18) and an experimental group(20). The experimental group performed eye movement and therapeutic massage every 30 minutes for 5 times a week for 4 weeks. Ocular fatigue, maximal blinking interval, ocular surface temperature, and dynamic visual activity were measured before and after 4 weeks. Ocular fatigue was decreased significantly after 4 weeks (p<.05), and maximal blinking interval was increased significantly after 4 weeks (p<.05). Ocular surface temperature was not showed a significant difference after 4 weeks (p>.05), and dynamic visual activity was increased significantly after 4 weeks (p<.05). Therefore, eye movement and therapeutic massage are recommended for the improvement of eye function and eye health. It is expected to be used as research data to restore and prevent for eye health.

  • The large underground structure under earthquake is affected more by soil dynamic characteristic and volume of structure than by structural dynamic characteristic itself. Therefore, it is the purpose of research that the aseismic analysis for caverns including various aseismic analysis factors (rock quality-Q value, soil dynamic characteristic, shape ratio $&$ volume, underground structural dynamic characteristic, and aseismic level) are applied by using the numerical analysis program (SAUS; seismic analysis of underground structures). The result of research is stated that maximum strain, maximum moment, and maximum shear are not sensitive with respect to shape ratio. However those values are sensitive with respect to Q value, volume of underground structure and aseismic level. Based on the results of this research, the assessment for the influence factors of aseismic analysis for large underground structure could be possible.
