In this paper, a unified time-dependent constitutive model of Darcy flow and non-Darcy flow is proposed. The influencing factors of flow velocity are discussed, which demonstrates that permeability coefficient is the most significant factor. Based on this, the dynamic evolution characteristics of water inrush during tunneling through fault fracture zone is analyzed under the constant permeability coefficient condition (CPCC). It indicates that the curves of flow velocity and hydrostatic pressure can be divided into typical three stages: approximate high-velocity zone inside the fault fracture zone, velocity-rising zone near the tunnel excavation face and attenuation-low velocity zone in the tunnel. Furthermore, given the variation of permeability coefficient of the fault fracture zone with depth and time, the dynamic evolution of water flow in the fault fracture zone under the variable permeability coefficient condition (VPCC) is also studied. The results show that the time-related factor (α) affects the dynamic evolution distribution of flow velocity with time, the depth-related factor (A) is the key factor to the dynamic evolution of hydrostatic pressure.

The elastic dynamic crack curving could be obtained by controlling the loading rate, the initial crack-tip blunting to store much energy before crack initiation and the magnitude of reflected wave from finite boundaries. However there is no theoretical and experimental elastic-plastic dynamic curving study. This paper proposes a specimen geometryfor a study of dynamic elastic-plastic crack curving and presents a preliminary result. The specimen has a blunt physical crack tip on a side, and a round notch tip on the other side. From the experiment using this specimen, it is found that the narrow plastic zone ahead of the round notch tip produces the change of load direction and anti-symmetricity of the dynamic isochromatics, and each result causes the crack curving phenomenon. After a certain time, as the elastic-plastic crack gets close to the round notch tip near, the degree of the crack curving get larger. The elastic reack curving propagates more sensitively to the surround of crack tip than the plastic crack curving does. The cynamic elastic-plastic crack curving is found to be proportional to the CTOA(the crack tip opening angle). The dynamic elastic-plastic crack may propagate in the direction perpendicular to the loading. An apparant strip yield zone which is similar to the Dugdale strip yield zone is noted ahead of the physical crack tip.
In this paper dynamic behavior (modal analysis and dynamic transient response) of a novel sandwich T-joint is numerically and experimentally investigated. An epoxy adhesive is selected for bonding purpose and making the step wise graded behavior of adhesive region. The effect of the step graded behavior of the adhesive zone on dynamic behavior of a sandwich T-joint is numerically studied. Finite element analysis (FEA) of the T-joints with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) face-sheets is performed by ABAQUS 6.12-1 FEM code software. Modal analysis and dynamic half-sine transient response of the sandwich T-joint are presented in this paper. Two verification processes employed to verify the dynamic modeling of the manufactured sandwich panels and T-joint modeling. It has been shown that the step wise graded adhesive zone cases have changed the second natural frequency by about 5%. Also, it has been shown that the different arranges in the step wise graded adhesive zone significantly affect the maximum stresses due to transient dynamic loading by 1112% decrease in maximum peel stress and 691.9% decrease in maximum shear stress on the adhesive region.

Vegetative land cover is an important variable many Earth system process, general circulation and carbon exchange model requires vegetative cover as boundary layer necessary to run model. The purpose of this study is to detect and to understand land surface change. To monitor changes of East Asia vegetation, we used NDVI 10-day MVC data derived from SPOT VEGETATION during 12 years from 1999 to 2010. Finally, according to the land cover of classified class, we performed analysis for dynamic zone(positive change zone and negative change zone), static zone in 1999, 2010. Therefore, land covers corresponding to each class have appeared change by 2010. Land cover change was confirmed by analyzing data during 12 years which appeared vegetation change of surrounding the actual desert area to east.

A solution is given for the elastodynamic problem of a crack perpendicular to the graded interfacial zone in bonded materials under the action of anti plane shear impact. The interfacial zone is modeled as a nonhomogeneous interlayer with the power-law variations of its shear modulus and mass density between the two dissimilar, homogeneous half-planes. Laplace and Fourier integral transforms are employed to reduce the transient problem to the solution of a Cauchy-type singular integral equation in the Laplace transform domain. Via the numerical inversion of the Laplace transforms, the values of the dynamic stress intensity factors are obtained as a function of time. As a result, the influences of material and geometric parameters of the bonded media on the overshoot characteristics of the dynamic stress intensities are discussed. A comparison is also made with the corresponding elastostatic solutions, addressing the inertia effect on the dynamic load transfer to the crack tips for various combinations of the physical properties.

In the secure DNS the amount of information that should be managed greatly increased and the interdependency in the information became very complex. Therefore, it became necessary to develop a mechanism which can manage zone information efficiently. Moreover, a consistent interface became also necessary so that a secure DNS may be efficiently interconnected with other Internet application services. In this paper we explain the design and implementation of a secure DNS extended with two functions : (1) a dynamic update function which enables to add and remove zone information dynamically and (2) a zone transfer function that efficiently transfers update zone information among DNS servers. We developed a method which integrates two zone transfer mechanisms, full zone transfer and incremental zone transfer, and also proposed a method to compress data in the zone transfer message. We also introduced a data structure called a delta file to integrate the zone transfer function and the dynamic update function.
The purpose of this study is to examine the status of quality control using multipurpose phantom of ultrasound equipment used in hospital of veterinary college in South Korea by using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom so as to examine quantitative and objective new image evaluation method. Specialists discussed and analyzed multipurpose phantom images acquired by using convex transducer of 10 ultrasound imaging devices, currently used in 9 veterinary colleges, at 4.0-6.0 MHz. Total 8 items that can be measured with ATS-539 multipurpose phantom including dead zone, vertical and horizontal measurement, axial/lateral resolution, sensitivity, focal zone, functional resolution and gray scale/dynamic range were evaluated. For qualitative evaluation, valid decisions were made based on dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range which are resolution index, and coefficient of variation (COV) and blind referenceless image spatial quality evaluator (BRISQUE) were found to increase objectivity. As a result of experiment, all the targeted ultrasonic devices were found appropriate from qualitative evaluation items of dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range. In other evaluation items, they were found to be appropriate from focal zone and vertical measurement of quantitative evaluation while inappropriate from horizontal measurement, sensitivity, and functional resolution. COV value was 0.12 ± 0.04, and BRISQUE value was 47.77 ± 2.77, both analysis results show that the noise level of all ultrasonic devices was located within tolerance range. Upon image examination using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom, they were 100% appropriate with inspection standards of dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range, and besides, focal zone and functional resolution can be used as evaluation items. In the field of veterinary medicine, 8 standard items using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom and image evaluation items using COV and BRISQUE can be used as standards for quality control of ultrasonography machine.

Bum-in test is one for eliminating semiconductor devices that are subject to early failures and other operational problems; it is usually carried out on the devices by imposing severe test conditions such as elevated voltages, temperatures, and time. In order for such a test to be performed, each burn-in board having devices to be tested, needs to be inserted into a corresponding slot. A set of such slots is called a zone. The slots comprising a zone can only have the burn-in boards with the devices of the same type. In order to test many different types of semiconductor devices, it is desirable to build a burn-in test system to have as many zones as possible. A zone controller controlling a zone, is a device that performs a burn-in test and collects test results. In case of existing systems, each zone controller takes care of a zone that consists of a fixed number of slots. Since a zone controller is, in most cases, embedded into a workstation that controls the overall testing process, adding new zone controllers is restricted by the spaces for them. As a way to solve or alleviate these problems, a dynamic zone system in which the number of slots in a zone can be dynamically allocated, is presented. This system maximizes the efficiency of system utilization, by altering the number of slots and hence minimizing the idle slots of a zone. In addition, all the test operations being performed must be aborted for maintenance in existing systems. In dynamic zone systems, however, a separate and independent maintenance is allowed for each slot, as long as the main power supply system has no problem.

In this study, from the comparison of the results obtained by 3 dimensional dynamic analyses using the inverse-calculated properties and those by calculating using the real earthquake records, the inverse calculation method for obtaining the dynamic properties of rockfill materials was verified. The fundamental frequency of the dam was determined by analyzing the response spectrum of observed records. By repeated dynamic analyses for various shear moduli of rockfill material, the shear moduli in the rockfill zone that satisfy the relationship between the fundamental frequency obtained by analysis of the observed records and that by numerical analyses were determined. Using the determined shear moduli, the 3 dimensional dynamic analyses for the dam were carried out and the result were compared with the real response characteristics on the crest of the dam.
