  • In this paper, we first analyze the delay performance of Dynamic Space-time Subframe (DSTS)-based frame structure which has been proposed to support the real-time service as well as non real-time service, using Ad hoc Self-Organizing Time Division Multiple Access (ASO-TDMA) MAC protocol, especially when transmitting a MAC SDU with two or more MAC PDUs, in a multi-hop ad-hoc maritime communication network. We propose two key transmission schemes: contiguous DSTS reservation which guarantees the end-to-end delay for the multiple PDUs, and adaptive transmission probability control schemes to maximize the system throughput. Our simulation results show that the proposed schemes outperform the system throughput of the existing transmission schemes, while supporting the real-time requirement.

  • Next Generation Weapon system from the center of the platform to share information in real-time Network Centric Warfare(NCW: Network Centric Warfare) has been changed. Data link system is defined as a network. That is, all in real-time battlefield information is to enable sharing. Data link system is classified as a precision strike, Monitoring/control, control of a Patriot missile battery systems. These systems are most effective in a Joint warfare and precision strike. Data Link Systems(Data Communications) implementation is accomplished by using the KDLM(Korean Data Link Modem) and Radio Transceiver. KDLM is operated in conjunction with the legacy Radios(re-using fielded HF/VHF/UHF radio systems). In this paper, we describe in terms of KDLM system design. In this paper, the proposed design structure is how to effectively interact with legacy various radio. First, The results provide an analysis of that Dynamic TDMA system and apply modem structure. Radio characteristics data are necessary for an effective TDMA system design. This article analyzes the test results and describes the structure to improve the receive performance.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the DRMA(Dynamic Reservation Multiple Access) protocol with Rayleigh fading, shadowing, and capture effect for the Broadband fireless Access System. We consider the TDMA-based protocols, since these are based on the standard for IEEE 802.16 WMAN, IEEE 802.20 MBWA, and ETSI HIPERLAN//2. The results of analytical model will be apply the development of collision resolution algorithm, scheduling algorithm and the dynamic change of system parameters.

  • In this paper, we designed a dynamic TDMA scheme for smooth tactical data distribution in TDMA tactical datalinks. Since the existing tactical datalinks use fixed time radio resources, it is impossible to change the resource status according to network conditions during operation. To overcome these limitations, we designed, implemented, and simulated the DTDMA processing and related messages such as initial timeslot allocation, intermediate time slot allocation, time slot return, and timeslot retrieval. As a result, it was shown that the method of effectively allocating and using timeslot resources according to the situation is applicable. Therefore, we will continue research to manage DTDMA communication on tactical data link in the future.

  • In this paper, we proposed an efficient TDMA scheduling algorithm for a clustered Wireless Sensor Network. Since some previous algorithms used unnecessary idle period and schedule period in each frame. It became an overhead that might consume unexpected energy and delay data transmission. To solve this problem, a dynamic scheduling algorithm according to the number of member nodes and node traffic load within a cluster was suggested. Our proposed DS-MAC(Dynamic Scheduling MAC) could save energy and reduce transmission delay Then DS-MAC was analyzed mathematically to compare with the previous algorithms.

  • Ethernet PON(Passive Optical Network)의 핵심 기술 충의 하나인 MAC(Media Access Control) 프로토콜은 ONU(Optical Network Unit)들이 상향으로 트래픽을 전송할 때 공유되어 있는 링크상의 충돌을 방지하고, 효율적인 대역폭을 할당하기 위만 스케줄링 알고리즘을 포함하고 있다.

  • In this paper, we present a QoS-aware MAC protocol (QA-MAC) for cluster based wireless sensor networks (WSNs). QA-MAC is a TDMA-based scheduling protocol that minimizes the energy consumption in multi-hop WSNs and provides Quality of Service (QoS). A dynamic scheduling algorithm according to the number of member nodes, node traffics, and traffic priorities is suggested. The selected cluster head allocates time slots for all member nodes in the first TDMA schedule period of each round. During the second schedule period in each round, the cluster head makes a schedule for all data transmission. The proposed QA-MAC (QoS-Aware MAC) could save energy, reduce transmission delay, and support QoS.

  • This paper presents a terminal-assisted frame-based packet reservation multiple access (TAF-PRMA) protocol, which optimizes random access control between heterogeneous traffic aiming at more efficient voice/data integrated services in dynamic reservation TDMA-based broadband access networks. In order to achieve a differentiated quality-of-service (QoS) guarantee for individual service plus maximal system resource utilization, TAF-PRMA independently controls the random access parameters such as the lengths of the access regions dedicated to respective service traffic and the corresponding permission probabilities, on a frame-by-frame basis. In addition, we have adopted a terminal-assisted random access mechanism where the voice terminal readjusts a global permission probability from the central controller in order to handle the 'fair access' issue resulting from distributed queuing problems inherent in the access network. Our extensive simulation results indicate that TAF-PRMA achieves significant improvements in terms of voice capacity, delay, and fairness over most of the existing medium access control (MAC) schemes for integrated services.

  • In this paper, we propose a new frame structure and the underlying dynamic resource control mechanism to support an integrated service, including a real-time (RT) service that requires to serve the end-to-end delay performance, as well as non-real-time (NRT) service, using Self-Organizing Time Division Multiple Access (SO-TDMA)-based MAC protocol in a multi-hop ad-hoc maritime communication network. The underlying frame structure is dynamically configured by resource allocation to guarantee the average target outage performance of the real-time service. Toward this end, we analyze the average outage probability and its performance is verified for the proposed frame structure by simulation.
