  • In this paper, we developed a Windows NT version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows NT's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • The purpose of this paper is to estimate the fire safety in tunnels with bi-directional and/or congested unidirectional traffic where there may be people on both sides of the fire. Therefore, the spread and movement of smoke are simulated by Fire Dynamic Simulator code under different ventilation systems, longitudinal, semi-transverse, large port exhaust system. And as quantitative risk index, FED (Fractional Effective Dose) for each ventilation system are calculated and compared by existed code developed previous research.

  • In this paper, a profile management system consisting of global and local range finders is presented for the automat ion of material pile handling. A global range finder detects range data of the front part of the piles of material and a profile map is obtained from a 3D profile detection algorithm. A local range finder attached on the side of the arm of the reclaimer detects range data with the handling function dynamically, and a local profile patch is acquired from the range data A yard profile map manager constructs a map by using the 3D profile of the global range finder and revises the map by replacing it with the local profile patch obtained Iron the local range finder. The developed vision system was applied to a simulator and the results of test show that it is appropriate to use for automating the material handling.

  • Efforts are being made to replace ship diesel engines with electric propulsion motors in response to emission regulations. In particular, in the case of short-range small ships, research is being conducted to replace polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) with power sources. However, PEMFC has problems such as slow dynamic response characteristics and reduced durability at high temperatures. To solve this problem, a high-precision ship model was developed with power distribution and thermal management strategies applied, and through this, the required power, heat, and power characteristics of the propulsion system according to the ship's speed profile were analyzed.

  • Purpose : The aim of this study was to compare the differences between the volumes acquired with four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT)images with a reconstruction image-filtering algorithm and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images with dynamic phantom. Materials and Methods : The 4DCT images were obtained from the computerized imaging reference systems (CIRS) phantom using a computed tomography (CT) simulator. We analyzed the volumes for maximum intensity projection (MIP), minimum intensity projection (MinIP) and average intensity projection (AVG) of the images obtained with the 4DCT scanner against those acquired from CBCT images with CT ranger tools. Results : Difference in volume for node of 1, 2 and 3 cm between CBCT and 4DCT was 0.54~2.33, 5.16~8.06, 9.03~20.11 ml in MIP, respectively, 0.00~1.48, 0.00~8.47, 1.42~24.85 ml in MinIP, respectively and 0.00~1.17, 0.00~2.19, 0.04~3.35 ml in AVG, respectively. Conclusion : After a comparative analysis of the volumes for each nodal size, it was apparent that the CBCT images were similar to the AVG images acquired using 4DCT.

  • We attempt to achieve both high dynamic performance and maximal power efficiency by means of linear decoupling of rotor speed (or motor torque) and rotor flux. The induction motor with our controller possesses the input-output dynamic characteristics of a linear system such that the rotor speed (or motor torque) and the rotor flux are decoupled. The rotor speed (or motor torque) responses are not affected by abrupt changes in the rotor flux and vice versa. The rotor flux need not be measured but is estimated by the well-known flux simulator. The effect of large variation in the rotor resistance on the control performances is minimized by employing a parameter adaptation method. To illuminate the significance of our work. we present simulation and experimental results as well as mathematical performance analyses.

  • Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) in electric railway operation has become increasingly important. The components within very high power electronic, and the circuits for treating low-level signals, comprise complex system that must coexist and be highly reliable. To study it, It were included how much the HEMU-400X generates EMI and it has an effect on the power conversion units which resulted from Power Line Disturbance (PLD) phenomenon by contact loss during its running. In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated. The analysis of the loss of contact based on Power Simulator program software is performed to develop power line disturbance model suitable for high speed operation. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system.

  • A dynamic fatigue characteristic of dental implant system has been evaluated with applying single axial compressive shear loading based on the ISO 14801 standard. For the advanced dynamic fatigue test, multi-directional force and motion needed to be accompanied for more information of mechanical properties as based on mastication in oral environment. In this study, we have prepared loading and motion protocol for the multi-directional fatigue test of dental implant system with single (Apical/Occlusal; AO), and additional mastication motion (Lingual/Facial; LF, Mesial/Distal; MD). As following the prepared protocol (with modification of ISO 14801), fatigue test was conducted to verify the worst case results for the development of highly stabilized dental implant system. Mechanical testing was performed using an universal testing machine (MTS Bionix 858, MN, USA) for static compression and single directional loading fatigue, while the multi-directional loading was performed with joint simulator (ADL-Force 5, MA, USA) under load control. Basically, all mechanical test was performed according to the ISO 14801:2016 standard. Static compression test was performed to identify the maximum fracture force with loading speed of 1.0 mm/min. A dynamic fatigue test was performed with 40 % value of maximum fracture force and 5 Hz loading frequency. A single directional fatigue test was performed with only apical/occlusal (AO) force application, while multi directional fatigue tests were applied $2^{\circ}$ of facial/lingual (FL) or mesial/distal (MD) movement. Fatigue failure cycles were entirely different between applying single-directional loading and multi-directional loading. As a comparison of these loading factor, the failure cycle was around 5 times lower than single-directional loading while applied multi-directional loading. Also, the displacement change with accumulated multi-directional fatigue cycles was higher than that of single directional cycles.
