산업용 단선 궤도 차량의 주행 동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Characteristic Analysis for the Industrial Monorail Vehicle)

  • An OHT(Over Head Transportation) vehicle is an example of the industrial monorail vehicle, and it is used in the automobile, semiconductor, LCD manufacturing industries. OHT vehicle is moved by main wheels and guide rollers. The major function of the main wheel is to support and drive the OHT vehicle. The roles of the guide roller is the inhibition of derailment and steering of the OHT vehicle. Since the required vehicle velocity becomes faster and the required load capacity is increased, the durability characteristics of the wheel and roller, which was made of urethane, need to be increased. So it is necessary to estimate the fatigue life cycle of the wheel and roller. In this study, OHT dynamic model was developed by using the multi body dynamic analysis program ADAMS. Wheel and roller are modeled by the 3-D surface contact module. Especially, motor cycle tire mechanics is used in the wheel contact model. The OHT dynamic model can analyze the dynamic characteristic of the OHT vehicle with various driving conditions. And the result was verified by a vehicle traveling test. As a result of this study, the developed model is expected to predict wheel dynamic load time history and makes a contribution to design of a new monorail vehicle.

  • Analysis of brake characteristics has progressed rapidly in recent years, as computer techniques have developed. However, there are many problems in predicting braking characteristics, due to the numerous design variables of the brake system. Therefore, a synthetic braking performance analysis is required for all brake system parts such as master cylinder, booster, control valve and split system. In this paper, a program which can analyze braking performance such as force distribution, braking efficiency, pedal force and pedal travel, is presented. The preprocessor of the program helps users prepare input files through a dialog box. An additional postprocessor makes the graph presentation of solved results. Also, a simple example problem is applied to show the usefulness of the presented program.

Dynamic analysis of ACTIVE MOUNT using viscoelastic-elastoplastic material model

  • The engine mount of a car subjected to a pre-load related to the weight of the engine, and acts to insulate the vibration coming from the engine by moving on large or small displacement depending on the driving condition of the car. The vibration insulation of the engine mount is an effect obtained by dissipating the mechanical energy into heat by the viscosity characteristic of the rubber and the microscopic behavior of the additive carbon black. Therefore, dynamic stiffness from the intrinsic properties of rubber filled with carbon black at the design stage is an important design consideration. In this paper, we introduced a hyper-elastic, visco-elastic and elasto-plastic model to predict the dynamic characteristics of rubber, and developed a fitting program to determine the material model parameters using MATLAB. The dynamic characteristics analysis of the rubber insulator of the ACTIVE MOUNT was carried out by using MSC.MARC nonlinear structural analysis software, which provides the dynamic characteristics material model. The analysis results were compared with the dynamic characteristics test results of the rubber insulator, which is one of the active mount components, and the analysis results were confirmed to be valid.

  • Even if the shock absorber is developed to Variable S/A or Active S/A, it is necessary to construct data-base or build the dynamic performance characteristic program of Oil S/A. Since both Variable S/A and Active S/A are based on the principle of Oil S/A. To obtain the design technique of Oil S/A, we model the damping mechanism and characteristics of an Oil S/A whose performance was testified. And then it is analyzed the dynamic behaviour characteristics of damping mechanism.

  • Wheel/Rail geometric constraint relationships, such as effective conicity and gravitational stiffness, strongly influence the lateral dynamics of railway vehicles. In general, these geometric contact characteristics are nonlinear functions of the wheelset lateral displacement. There is a need to develop a wheel/rail geometric contact simulation program for wheels and rails with arbitrary profiles for the prediction of the dynamic behavior of railway vehicles. An algorithm to simulate any combination of wheels and rails is employed and a GUI for easy analysis is constructed. The simulation program is applied to KTX which will run on both KTX and conventional rails, two rail standards having different rail profiles. The results show that the two rail systems have different geometric contact characteristic

  • This paper describes simulation and experimental results to analyze the dynamic characteristics of STATCOM, which is connected to the ac system for compensation the power factor and improving the voltage stability. The simulation and experimental results confirm that the scaled model for STATCOM can properly compesate the power factor of the load and regulate the bus voltage at the common connection point.

  • In this paper, the gas dynamic effects of the suction pipe systems which have resinators are investigated on the volumetric efficiency are theoretically investigated by the engine performance simulation program which has been already developed. As the results, the optimum design method of the suction pipe system which has the overall high the flat characteristic curve of volumetric efficiency is developed in case of one cylinder engine.

  • Dynamic behavior of high speed train is very important because the high speed train should be safe and satisfied with the ride comfort. An eddy current brake system is mounted on trailer bogie and wheelset. The eddy current braking force longitudinally exerts on the articulated trailer bogie and the attraction force vertically exerts on the wheelset. Because a frame of eddy current brake system is flexible, these forces generate the vertical vibration at middle point of the frame. Also, the vibration change the vertical clearance between an electromagnet and top of rail which affect the magnitude of braking and attracting forces. Therefore, the dynamic behavior of the eddy current braking system must be predicted for design the dynamic characteristic of its mounting system when normally operate on rail which have irregularity. Vampire program is used for prediction of the dynamic behavior of an eddy current braking system. Five design variables and five performance index are considered for optimization through D-optimal experimental design in this paper. Also model center is used to search the optimal point for sum of performance index with variational matric method.
