We observed 38 Planck Cold Clumps (PCCs) in the $850{\mu}m$ dust continuum emission using the JCMT/SCUBA-2, and detected the emission in 15 clumps containing dense cores. In this poster we present the preliminary results. The PCCs are cold, dense, and thus, they are considered as objects in the early evolutionary stages of star formation. The sources in our sample were selected based on the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) 13CO (1-0) integrated intensity maps. In order to examine whether these cores detected in $850{\mu}m$ continuum have potential to be prestellar cores, we compare each core mass estimated from the $850{\mu}m$ continuum with the Virial mass and Bonnor-Ebert (BE) mass calculated from the 13CO (1-0) or C18O (1-0) spectra. By comparing the two column densities from the dust continuum and the 13CO (1-0) or C18O (1-0) line, we also derive the CO depletion factor, which could be an indicator of core evolution. The moment maps of the 13CO (1-0) line are used to study the physical properties (e.g. kinematics, turbulence) of PCCs. We investigate difference between the sources with and without detectable $850{\mu}m$ emission to study the formation conditions of dense cores.
This paper introduces insulator pollutant accumulate pattern in the tunnel of korea railroad. To accomplish this goal, effective sample collecting method was proposed for the first step. Dust at the surface was collected directly. Distilled water and brush was used while collecting. Through this method dust is easily and accurately collected. The second step is pollutant analysis. Several analyze item is selected such as quantity, conductivity, contact angle, Optical Microscope(OM), IR, Equivalent Salt Deposit Density(ESDD), and ICP-AES. The third step, best represent tunnel was selected considering location, length and natural surroundings. Also to consider the difference at inside the tunnel, several bracket insulators were selected along to the location. To make the result precise, above procedure was repeated several times at the same target. Finally relation among type of train, numbers of movement, surroundings, length will be considered in combination with the pollution. With this result pollute map for KORAIL could be accomplished and inspect period will be optimized case by case.
Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) followed by gas chromatographic separation and mass spectrometric (MS) detection were used in rapid analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH's) in air particulate material extracted for 30 min with 10 ml of supercritical $N_2O$ without another sample preparation step. Two samples, urban dust in Seoul area and a certified air particulate reference material 1649 supplied by the NBS (National Bureau of Standards), were processed for the purpose of evaluating extraction and analysis methods. As a result, the quantitative recovery of PAH's in the SFE method was relatively lower than conventional organic solvent extraction methods, but reproducibility was resonable, and analysis time was reduced remarkably. The method has proved to be suitable for monitoring of PAH's in air particulate material.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to improve the working environment by identifying the work satisfaction of the cleaning workers of the aircraft and measuring and assessing the harmful factors of the cleaning process. Methods: We asked 23 cleaning companies for questionnaires and got 100 answers from 5 companies. The A-E Airline health manager has been contacted to establish a site survey schedule. The in-flight and lounge were measured using direct reading equipment. The harmful factor to be measured are noise, dust, temperature, volatile organic compound, total airborne bacteria, and total airborne bacteria. Results: Uncomfortable positions when replacing blanket, cleaning the table, and cleaning the floor have been identified as factor that reduce work satisfaction. Noise when replacing newspapers and cleaning toilets has been identified as a factor that lowers work satisfaction. Temperature and humidity were found to reduce work satisfaction during in-flight disinfection. Measurements of aircraft cabin and lounge with direct read equipment have shown that none of the items exceed the exposure criteria. Conclusions: As a result of measuring direct-reading equipment, no items exceeded the exposure criteria for each harmful factor. A clear survey of the working environment is required based on the results, and additional research is needed using personal sample measurement.
We present preliminary results of 1.1 and 1.3 mm dust continuum and 12CO (J=2-1) line data obtained with the Submillimeter Array toward six cores harboring Class 0/I objects in the λ Orionis cloud. They are located in bright rimmed clouds, which are exposed to the far-ultraviolet radiation field by the O-type star λ Ori. Compact dust continuum emission is observed from all six cores. Among the six cores, only one core G196.92-10.37 shows a signature of binarity with separation of 4000 AU. The numbers of singles and binaries in our sample are five and one, respectively and the derived multiplicity frequency (MF) is 0.17. This value is lower than those found in the binary surveys toward Class 0/I objects, which may be a hint for negative feedback by the nearby massive star, lambda Ori. The derived excitation temperature (Tex) using 12CO emission shows a lower median value (20 K) than those of triggered star-forming regions (30 K). The lower MF and Tex support our previous study that star formation was not triggered in the λ Orionis cloud. We aim to further investigate whether the Class 0/I YSOs in the λ Orionis cloud have less circumstellar materials and smaller accretion rates than in other filamentary clouds (e.g., Orion A & B), which might be attributed to negative feedback from the massive star in limiting accretion of protostars.

In this study, we analyzed the amount of roadside fine dust generated from newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement and general asphalt pavement from existing roads. We collected the 1,000 g (100 g/day) of dust samples from the roadside of the express bus terminal and commercial facility area in Chungcheongnam-do's C site at three-day intervals during the summer of 2022 and 2023. The collected samples were separated from fine dust according to size in the 75-150 ㎛ range and, were separated only from Tire and Road Wear Particles through density separation. No.1-3 are general asphalt pavement section as an existing road. Fine dust and Tire and Road Wear Particles in No.1-3 were 24.27 g, 24.36 g, 0.53 g, and 0.53 g, respectively, and the quantitative results for 2022 and 2023 were similar. On the other hand, No.4-6 are newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement section. Fine dust decreased by 14.8 % and tire and road wear particles decreased by 29.6 % in 2023 compared to 2022 in No.4-6. In addition, according to the results of thermogravimetric analysis, Tire and road wear particles in No.1-3 are tire and road components at 30 % and 70 %, respectively. And Tire and road wear particles in No.4-6 are tire and road components at 35 % and 65 % in 2023, respectively. From these results, it was confirmed that the newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement can be effective in reducing roadside fine dust and Tire and Road Wear Particles. However, there may be some shortcomings in conclusive research results due to limited space and sample collection period. In the future, we plan to conduct various case studies.
In this study, we introduced experience participated in ELPAT (Environmental Lead for Proficiency Analytical Testing) program that is administered by the American Industrial Hygiene Association and EPA. The 126 sample results of total 128 samples met reference value, as a result accepted 'proficient'. The presence of airborne particles in the earth atmosphere expert important controls on the global climate because of their effects on the radiative balance. However, there are major uncertainties associated with the direct and indirect radiative effects of aerosols. In addition, their physicochemical properties cannot only the decline of air quality but also damage human health. Airborne particles were collected by two different commercial air samples, high volume sampler(for TSP) and low volume sampler(for P $M_{10}$ ) at the campus of Kunsan National University during February to September, 2000. In most cases, TSP and P $M_{10}$ were sampled once a week for the duration of 24 hours from 9:00 a.m. In addition samples were collected more intenisve, when the yellow dust was expected. Each sample was analyzed for pH and major ions concentration (C $l^{[-10]}$ , S $O_4$$^{2-}$, N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ , N $a^{+}$, N $H_4$$^{+}$, $K^{+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$) by ion chromatography and atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Acidity (pH) of TSP and P $M_{10}$ ranged from 5.09 to 8.51 and from 6.22 to 7.54, respectively. The concentrations of airborne particles were found to satisfy both the short and long-term air quality standards during the sampling period. If the ratio of ionic concentrations originating from None sea salt(Nss) to sea salt(ss) in aerosol samples was concerned, it was found that the ionic concentrations from marine environment contributed dominantly in total mass concentration in the airborne particles. When seasonal trends were examined, the TSP concentrations in spring were higher than those of other seasons. It may result form frequent occurrences of yellow dust and during the spring season. The concentration ratio of P $M_{10}$ to TSP ranged from 0.78 to 1 during the sampling period. pH in the airborne particle was highest during spring, but the other seasons maintained almost same level. These results suggest that alkaline species in yellow dust can directly neutralize aerosol acidity. During spring season, yellow dust could be a positive factor that can defer the acidification of surface soil and water by neutralizing acidic aerosols in the atmosphere.osphere.
