  • The purpose of this study examines to what extent the multicultural youth's dual culture acceptance attitude is significantly affected by cultural adaptation stress and national identity using the data of the MAPS(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The subject of the study was the first data of the second period of the MAPS, and 2,246 multicultural youth who were enrolled in the fourth grade of elementary school as of 2019 were used as analysis data. As a result of the study, it was found that the attitude to accept dual culture was significantly affected in the order of national identity and cultural adaptation stress. This means that the higher the national identity and the lower the cultural adaptation stress, the higher the attitude toward dual culture. On the other hand, as for the type of multicultural youth, it was found that international marriage families had the lowest attitude toward accepting dual culture. In terms of the size of the area where students live, large cities have the lowest dual cultural acceptance attitude. These results suggest that cultural adaptation stress, national identity, type of multicultural family, and area of residence act as major variables in multicultural youth's dual culture acceptance attitude.

  • This study investigated the self wrapping made possible through the anonymity of cuber-space. According to the analysis of the data, which were collected from the online for 2 days, 2,168 respondents were grouped into three types: Those maintaining the strong sense of identity achievement), 53.8%, those experiencing confusion(identity diffusion), 38.3%, and those losing the sense of identity(foreclosure), 7.9%. Among the general respondents, it was reported that the case of sex wrapping was 11.4%, that of occupation, 40.1%, and that of marital status, 60.6%. Specially 11.4% of the sex wrapper took heterogeneous gender identity, while 7% performed dual sex roles. The rate of gender wrapping of female respondents was higher than that of male ones, which reflects female respondents' longing for male sex. Self-disparity between cyber-space and virtual-space was related with the type of self-identity and gender-identity. The rate of self-disparity between cuber-space and virtual-space was 9%. If it occurred continuously, it may cause individual mental division and maladjustment.

  • In this paper, we focus on establishing the MacWilliams-type identities on vectorial Boolean functions with bent component functions. As their applications, we provide a bound for the non-existence of vectorial dual-bent functions with prescribed minimum degree, and several Gleason-type theorems are presented as well.

  • In this paper we obtain some formulae for several sums of generalized Fibonacci numbers $U_n$ and generalized Lucas numbers $V_n$ and their dual forms $G_n$ and $H_n$ by using extensions of an interesting identity by A. R. Amini for Fibonacci numbers to these four kinds of generalizations and their first and second derivatives.

  • This study is to analyze the dual language and hybrid identity of the students of Daegu Chinese Middle.High School. Such a phenomenon is being produced and changed at the site or zone of meeting different or conflict factors such as Chinese and Korean. The Chinese Korean students had learned Korean from their mother and her relative at a young age, and their dual and complex language habit was produced due to the learning of Chinese from father and his relative. A large number of the students were educated at a Korean kindergarten, but they were formally learned Chinese and China's society and culture at a Korean Chinese school after primary school. The Chinese Korean students talk with parents, brother and sister, teacher, friend and neighbor at home, school and local by Chinese and/or Korean. They use a dual language of Chinese and Korean based on various situations, but they do not particularly distinguished both language in cognition. The students have a hybrid identity of simultaneously recognizing Chinese and Korean. But some of them think Chinese or Korean. It is necessary for the results of this study to be objectified from the following research on the students of Chinese Middle・High School in Seoul, Incheon and Busan.

  • This study explores the grandchild-rearing experience of grandmothers whose children are part of dual-earner couples. Twelve participants provided in-depth interview data that were analysed according to Spradely's ethnographic method. We present three main themes in our research, as well as ten smaller themes: (i) the grandchild-rearing motive (from the perspective of the adult, the child, the grandchild, and the grandmother); (ii) the mode of grandchild-rearing support (residential, total weight of childrearing support, availability of a daycare center); (iii) the change in the grandmother's way of life (positive changes and negative changes). Finally, this study examines the integrity of the grandmother's identity as their productivity increases through providing grandchild-rearing support. It also looks at the importance of governmental policies that support their burdens according to the level support they provide.

  • The childbearing process is not only a biological phenomenon of a woman who gives birth to a child but also a sociocultural phenomenon which is reflected on her value, belief in the sociocultural context according to social change and acculturation. The familial relation and sociocultural context in the multigravidas are more complex and intermingled than in the primigravidas. The purpose of this ethnographic research study was to explore the experience of identity from the first trimester of pregnancy to the third trimester of pregnancy in the Korean multigravidas and to understand deeply the perspectives of pregnant women reflected on Korean sociocultural values, beliefs, norms and familial culture. The participants of 10 pregnant women in Seoul, Korea were observed for 10 months from January to October 2000 and interviewed in their homes and comfortable place. Data analysis was accomplished 'line by line method' and significant concepts were classified according to themes, categories, and domains. The results of this study were as follows : The participants experienced 4 categorized subjects : understanding the oneself - mother to be, performing the dual role, drifting the emotion, and living disheartened during pregnancy. The participants were showed universality and diversity pattern in the self understanding process. The universal pattern were 'mother to be' showing maturation, life along family and priority on motherhood between being a mother and a woman. The diverse pattern were taking the dual role in working mothers having the higher self actualized value and personal identity rather than maternal identity, drifting emotion in resigned mothers, and living disheartened in mothers who have two daughters and no son. In conclusion, the Korean multigravidas experienced womanhood as well as motherhood through the self understanding process with familial connections during pregnancy. Therefore it is suggested that if the harmony and the balance between a mother and a woman is accomplished, the woman will lead a healthy and high quality of life. Also, this study sought to confirm the sociocultural factors affecting during pregnancy in the perspectives of the women with children. Therefore, the health care providers have to divert their attention from biomedical perspectives to biocultural perspectives integrating bio-psycho-sociocultural aspects of pregnant women in a clinical setting.
