The light buoy, a floating structure at sea, is prone to drifting due to external factors such as oceanic weather. This makes it imperative to monitor for any loss or displacement of buoys. In order to address this issue, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries aims to issue alerts for buoy displacement by analyzing historical buoy position data to detect patterns. However, periodic lifting inspections, which are conducted every two years, disrupt the buoy's location pattern. As a result, new patterns need to be analyzed after each inspection for location monitoring. In this study, buoy position data from various periods were analyzed using convex hull and distance-based clustering algorithms. In addition, the optimal data collection period was identified in order to accurately recognize buoy location patterns. The findings suggest that a nine-week data collection period established stable location patterns, explaining approximately 89.8% of the variance in location data. These results can improve the management of light buoys based on location patterns and aid in the effective monitoring and early detection of buoy displacement.

This study was carried out on the composting of the most part of the plant waste materials inflowed-drifting into the dam during the localized heavy rain and the rainy season, due to the abnormal climate change, and for the sewage sludge banned to dispose legally into the ocean from the year of 2012. It was analysed the distinctive physicochemical qualities of the compost with treatment S-1(dam suspended particle sawdust : oak tree bark : sewage sludge : chicken manure = 30 : 20 : 40 : 10) and treatment S-2(dam suspended particle sawdust : oak tree bark : sewage sludge : chicken manure = 30 : 30 : 30 : 10). Both S-1 and S-2 maintained for 10 days at above $65^{\circ}C$ of the compost pile temperature, and the most of its pathogen were destroyed. In case of pH, until the 90th day into composting, S-1 with the pH value of 7.78 was slightly higher than S-2. The C/N value of S-1 was 15.3 and that of S-2 was 16.9. The quality of its final product was satisfied to the manufacture-standards. The GI value of S-1 was 91 higher than that of S-2, which was 84. In conclusion, it is highly recommendable to manufacture S-1 for its frequent usage of dam suspended particle sawdust and sewage sludge, and for its excellent quality and safety.

In this paper, we propose an efficient method for improving visual quality of AR-FGS (Adaptive Reference FGS) which is adopted as a key scheme for SVC (Scalable Video Coding) or H.264 scalable extension. The standard FGS (Fine Granularity Scalability) adopts AR-FGS that introduces temporal prediction into FGS layer by using a high quality reference signal which is constructed by the weighted average between the base layer reconstructed imageand enhancement reference to improve the coding efficiency in the FGS layer. However, when the enhancement stream is truncated at certain bitstream position in transmission, the rest of the data of the FGS layer will not be available at the FGS decoder. Thus the most noticeable problem of using the enhancement layer in prediction is the degraded visual quality caused by drifting because of the mismatch between the reference frame used by the FGS encoder and that by the decoder. To solve this problem, we exploit the principle of cyclical block coding that is used to encode quantized transform coefficients in a cyclical manner in the FGS layer. Encoding block coefficients in a cyclical manner places 'higher-value' bits earlier in the bitstream. The quantized transform coefficients included in the ealry coding cycle of cyclical block coding have higher probability to be correctly received and decoded than the others included in the later cycle of the cyclical block coding. Therefore, we can minimize visual quality degradation caused by bitstream truncation by adjusting weighting factor to control the contribution of the bitstream produced in each coding cycle of cyclical block coding when constructing the enhancement layer reference frame. It is shown by simulations that the improved AR-FGS scheme outperforms the standard AR-FGS by about 1 dB in maximum in the reconstructed visual quality.
The results from the experiment of natural collection and growth of arkshell(Anadara broughtoni, SCHRENCK) spat, which was collected at Seok-gok Bay located at Chang-weon-gun, Korea, and grown in the 1ittoral zone of Sa-gok-ri, Geo-je-gun, Korea, beginning from August 1,1973 to April 8,1974 are as follows; The larvae of arkshell came out from the very first day of the study August 1, which continued till the end of September, whose amount was not so much varied, but relatively continuous. The drifting larvae were also rather small amount, from which some 200 to 400 larvae were attached through the respective collecting equipment made from straw with the dimension of length 1.5m and breadth 12cm. It is regarded relatively large amount collected and recognised worth while enough to use as the industrial collecting method. The average shell length of spat attached was 0.54mm on 17th September, 4.11mm on 21st October, 10.47mm on 25th November in 1973 and 11.08mm on 8th April in 1974 whose progress was recognized relatively faster, comparing with the other up-to date report, The relationship between the shell length(L) and the longest radial rib(R) was as follows: Below 2.5mm of the shell length: R=0.7393 L -0.0080 Above 2.5mm of the shell length: R=0.8253 L-0.2595 And the relationship between the shell length (L) and the shell breadth (B) was as follows: Below 2.5mm of the shell length: B=0.3505 L +0.0527 Above 2.5mm of the shell length: B=0.4631 L -0.3602 The exponential curve equation between shell length (L) and the total weight (W)was as follows : Below 16mm of the shell length: W=0.19957 $L^{2.5726}$ Above 16mm of the shell length: W=0.20602 $L^{2.8400}$ In view of the above the relative growth among the shell length, the longest radial rib and the shell breadth was changed in the vicinity of 2.5mm of the shell length. And relationship between the shell length and the total weight was changed in the vicinity of 16mm of the shell length.

In order to set up a predictive model for effective spat collection of pen shell, Atrina (Servatrina) pectinata, the survival rate and time required at each developmental stage of drifting larvae were surveyed during the period from June 8 to October 16 in 1986 at the Yongku inlet Chilchon Is., Chinhae Bay, the southern part of Korea. And also the experiments of spat collection were carried out In Yongku inlet during the period from July 6 to November 23 in 1987 and In Yoja Bay during the period from July 9 in 1987 to February 15 in 1588. The advent of D-shape larvae ca. $135\times144um $ long had three peaks in that area: August 1, 12 and 25. Umbo shape larvae ca. $300\times317um$ and full grown larvae ca. $455\times450um$ long also sowed three peaks: August 9, August 22 and September 4 for the former, and August 23, September 3 and September 16 for the latter. Nine to ten days was required for D-shape larvae to develop to umbo shape larvae. The instantaneous survival rate was 0.94 with a total survival rate if $54\%$ at this intermorphological stage. The required time of umbo to full grown larvae varied from twelve to fourteen days with a instantaneous survival rate of 0.88 and total survival rate of $19\%$. Twenty-two to twenty-three days was required for each group of the D-shape larvae to reach a fullgrown stage, and their total survival rate was $10\%$ during this developmental period. The number of the spat attached to the spat collector is 0.16 inds. per $m^2$ vertical spat collector in Yongku inlet and 0.48 inds. per $m^2$ horizontal spat collector in Yoja Bay. The average shell length of spat attached was $0.51({\pm}0.15)\;mm$ on September $27,\;38.52({\pm}6.98)\;mm$ on November 21 in 1987 and $49.00({\pm}10.77)mm$ on February 15 in 1988.

In order to study on the improvement of gill nets and trap nets fishing for the management of fisheries resource in the coastal area of Yellow Sea, we have investigated the general present condition of those fishing, and the actual fishing operation of gill nets for croaker and trap nets for rock shell which is called the the other trap nets, and then measured the body length of croaker and blue shell caught by their fishing vessels. The results are as follows ; 1. The total number of permission for coastal fishing are 12,944 cases, but the number of operation for coastal fishing are 7,558 cases in the coastal area of Yellow Sea. Among the total number of permission, the gill nets fishing are 5,154 cases with 39.8% but even so the number of operation are 3,724 cases, the trap nets fishing are 1,025 cases with 7.6% but even so the number of operation are 662 cases. On the fishing ratio, the gill nets and trap nets fishing are comparatively higher than the other fishing with 72.3% and 64.6%, respectively. 2. The main fishing period of gill nets for croaker is from the middle of July to early of September, and the main fishing grounds are sandymud bottom of 15-50m in depth around the islands of southern parts of western coastal area, and the fishing operation carry out 1∼2 times per day in flood tide and nets hauling conduct in 1∼2 hours after drifting with current. 3. The distribution range of body length of 139 croakers, which are caught in the gill nets, are 43.0∼120.0㎝ and the mode is 85.0㎝. 4. The main fishing period of trap nets for rock shell which is called the other trap nets is all the year round except the catching period of blue crab from early of September to the middle of October, and the main fishing ground are the sandymud bottom of 10∼20m in depth, and nets hauling conduct in next day after nets casting. 5. The distribution range of maximum carapace of 5,372 rock shells are 4.5∼8.5㎝ and the mode is 7.5㎝.

Petrochemical, K-Ar dating, Sand Rb/Sr isotopes, metallogenic zoning, paleomagnetic and geotectonic studies of the Gyongsang basin were carried out to examine applicability of plate tectonics to the post-late Cretaceous igneous activity and metallogeny in the southeastern part of Korean Peninsula. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Bulgugsa granitic rocks range from granite to adamellite, whose Q-Ab-Or triangular diagram indicates that the depth and pressure at which the magma consolidated increase from coast to inland varying from 6 km, 0.5-3.3 kb in the coastal area to 17 km, 0.5-10 kb in the inland area. 2. The volcanic rocks in Gyongsang basin range from andesitic to basaltic rocks, and the basaltic rocks are generally tholeiitic in the coastal area and alkali basalt in the inland area. 3. The volcanic rocks of the area have the initial ratio of Sr^{87}/Sr^{86} varying from 0.706 to 0.707 which suggests a continental origin; the ratio of Rb/Sr changing from 0.079-0.157 in the coastal area to 0.021-0.034 in the inland area suggests that the volcanism is getting younger toward coastal side, which may indicate a retreat in stage of differentiation if they were derived from a same magma. The K_2O/SiO_2 (60%) increases from about 1.0 in the coastal area to about 3.0 in the inland area, which may suggest an increase indepth of the Benioff zone, if existed, toward inland side. 4. The K-Ar ages of volcanic rocks were measured to be 79.4 m.y. near Daegu, and 61.7 m.y. near Busan indicating a southeastward decrease in age. The ages of plutonic rocks also decrease toward the same direction with 73 m.y. near Daegu, and 58 m.y. near Busan, so that the volcanism predated the plutonism by 6 m.y. in the continental interior and 4 m.y. along the coast. Such igneous activities provide a positive evidence for an applicability of plate tectonics to this area. 5. Sulfur isotope analyses of sulfide minerals from 8 mines revealed that these deposits were genetically connected with the spacially associated ingeous rocks showing relatively narrow range of ${\delta}^{34}S$ values (-0.9‰ to +7.5‰ except for +13.3 from Mulgum Mine). A sequence of metallogenic zones from the coast to the inland is delineated to be in the order of Fe-Cu zone, Cu-Pb-Zn zone, and W-Mo zone. A few porphyry type copper deposits are found in the Fe-Cu zone. These two facts enable the sequence to be comparable with that of Andean type in South America. 6. The VGP's of Cretaceous and post Cretaceous rocks from Korea are located near the ones($71^{\circ}N$, $180^{\circ}E$ and $90^{\circ}N$, $110^{\circ}E$) obtained from continents of northern hemisphere. This suggests that the Korean peninsula has been stable tectonically since Cretaceous, belonging to the Eurasian continent. 7. Different polar wandering path between Korean peninsula and Japanese islands delineates that there has been some relative movement between them. 8. The variational feature of declination of NRM toward northwestern inland side from southeastern extremity of Korean peninsula suggests that the age of rocks becomes older toward inland side. 9. The geological structure(mainly faults) and trends of lineaments interpreted from the Landsat imagery reveal that NNE-, NWW- and NEE-trends are predominant in the decreasing order of intensity. 10. The NNE-trending structures were originated by tensional and/or compressional forces, the directions of which were parallel and perpendicular respectively to the subduction boundary of the Kula plate during about 90 m.y. B.P. The NWW-trending structures were originated as shear fractures by the same compressional forces. The NEE-trending structures are considered to be priginated as tension fractures parallel to the subduction boundary of the Kula plate during about 70 m.y. B.P. when Japanese islands had drifted toward southeast leaving the Sea of Japan behind. It was clearly demonstrated by many authors that the drifting of Japanese islands was accompanied with a rotational movement of a clock-wise direction, so that it is inferred that subduction boundary had changed from NNE- to NEE-direction. A number of facts and features mentioned above provide a suite of positive evidences enabling application of plate tectonics to the late Cretaceous-early Tertiary igneous activity and metallogeny in the area. Synthesizing these facts, an arc-trench system of continental margin-type is adopted by reconstructing paleogeographic models for the evolution of Korean peninsula and Japan islands. The models involve an extention mechanism behind the are(proto-Japan), by which proto-Japan as of northeastern continuation of Gyongsang zone has been drifted rotationally toward southeast. The zone of igneous activity has also been migrated from the inland in late-Cretaceous to the peninsula margin and southwestern Japan in Tertiary.
