Automatic conversion of machining data by the recognition of press mold (프레스 금형의 특징형상 인식에 의한 가공데이터 자동변환)

  • This paper presents an automatic conversion of machining data from the orthographic views of press mold by feature recognition rule. The system includes following 6 modules : separation of views, function support, dimension text recognition, feature recognition, dimension text check and feature processing modules. The characteristic of this system is that with minimum user intervention, it recognizes basic features such as holes, slots, pockets and clamping parts and thus automatically converts CAD drawing details of press mold into machining data using 2D CAD system instead of using an expensive 3D Modeler. The system is developed by using IBM-PC in the environment of AutoCAD R12, AutoLISP and MetaWare High C. Performance of the system is verified as a good interfacing of CAD and CAM when applied to a lot of sample drawings.

  • The most remarkable and characteristic problem of design is that of creativity of design. Originality is a part of creativity. In the process of designing, we used to handle design thoughts that shows some patte군 of divergent and productive thoughts. During design thinking, for example 'Idea sketch', We also are under Pattern Recognition and Gestalt principles organization. In this study, it is reorganized that the 'Originality Test of Line Drawing(OTLD)'is a measurement system for personal originality. There is a regression on two tests of OTLD, which has 1 Semester Interval. From the regression data, Test2 = 7.763 + 0.643Test1, F value : 55.219, Prob : 0.0001. We would suggest a measurement system for an ability of originality in design fields, but we couldn't find any reliability and validity for Fine Art fields. In this point, OTLD could be a development tool for design creativity.

  • This study analyzes the values of vintage in Korean fashion prosumer's activities and elevates the values as one characteristic of Korean modern fashion. The methodology included literary and empirical studies as well as prosumer and modern Korean vintage fashion literary studies. In-depth interviews were done to analyze the values of vintage in fashion prosumer's activities. The values of vintage fashion for Millennials are creative activities based on public interest, expanded reproducing through sharing daily looks and self-expression through the scarcity of vintage clothing. Prosumer characteristics are self-satisfaction and sharing. Fashion prosumer's vintage trends are new-tro, communication, cultural complex, and sharing of daily life. The formativeness in fashion prosumer's activities are heritage, text, activity and image. The meanings are creation, communication, experience and sharing. Fashion prosumers are developing the new genre of 'vintage fashion activity'; in addition, values towards vintage fashion activity are also drawing international interest.

  • In this paper, humidity measurement is accomplished using humidity sensor, dehumidify is implemented using general-purpose $\mu$-processorPIC16C54 and thermoelectric module for control measured humidity and input target humidity value proportionally Pottier module product is variety kind of size and characteristic, very important drawing factor is selection necessary heat sink, which is maintain proper thermal resistance from variety kind of module also. From electronic dehumidifier is manufacture by using thermoelectric module, no sound, no vibration, low power consumption of partial space efficient dehumidify proves the validity of this system.

A Case Study on the College Dropout Rates

  • This study analyzes college dropout cases to reduce its rate. The analysis is preferentially carried out by figuring out our current situation of college dropout rate in pertinent cases and all around country's. Based on the current states, statistical analysis is accomplished as follows; analyzing the characteristic differences between the being in school's and the dropouts' by T-Test, determining the influence factor by logistic regression analysis and drawing the target group for special treatments through these statistical analysis. To reduce dropout rate, several measures could be adopted; focused counseling for each target group, special monitoring for students on leave of absence and opening major subjects for improving relationship between students and professors. The measures suggested by the analysis through this study are expected to lower the dropout rates effectively in college or specific fields including engineering science.

  • Longitudinal shell member that arranged block unit on 3D-curved surface is performed manual working by designer considering spacing of division characteristic, location and twisting at geometrical 3-dimensional form. Shell expansion drawing that drawn by initial design and shell landing work performed by hull production design have overlap of design work in terms of arrangement of shell longitudinal member. In this study, eliminate design overlap on shell member arrangement that is one of ship longitudinal member. Develop shell member optimization and auto arrangement system.

  • The characteristic of sheet metal process is the few loss of material during process, the short processing time and the excellent price and strength. The static implicit finite element method is applied effectively to analyze stamping processes from using AutoForm software. The simulation analysis can be applied to the membrane elements and shell elements. Membrane elements can be applied to good efficiency, but lower than the accuracy of shell elements. Therefore, simple drawing process applies membrane element, and spring-back and analysis of stamping process are judged that it is most efficient that apply shell clement. This study, the simulated results for stamping processes are shown and discussed.

  • Human activity pattern has been changed as the contemporary urban society changes. Diverse activities repeat regular patterns as time passes. Diagram is a simple drawing which aims to organize and unify various information. The elements of the social behaviour could be spatialized by means of diagram applications. By using diagrams, architects understand contemporary urban society and form new space conditions. Time-based activity patterns consists of activity pattern in a restricted space and in urban structure for space use. Activity patterns for different time zones are explained by two types of diagrams, space occupation and flexibility of space, By the characteristic of space system structred by these diagrams, activities and programs are rearranged and variety of space is allowed through flexibility. Also, programs are mixed to apply to simultaneous occurrence of ever-changing human activities.

  • As the automation system in manufacturing field works more efficientely, the automation scheme is applied to many areas. In order to reduce the entire manufacturing, cost the design process must be automated. However, design process is so complicated, it is very difficult to construct the design automation system. The axiomatic approach to design provides a general theoretical framework for all design fields, including mechanical design. The key concepts of axiomatic design are : the existence of domains, the characteristic vectors within the domains that can be decomposed into hierarchies through zigzagging between the domains, and the design axioms. Using this approach, the glass bulb design process was analyzed and the design automation software was developed. Through menu display, a user can select or furnish the design input and generate the drawing with ease.
