Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop nursing practice guidelines for water treatment system used in hemodialysis and to evaluate the guidelines by applying them in practice. Method: The first draft for the guidelines was developed based on advice and recommendations obtained from procedure review of critical literature. The draft was modified through evaluation by an expert group and pilot application to practice. The final draft was evaluated by the expert group using the AGREE instrument (Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation). Results: For the pilot test using the draft guidelines, 144 samples were collected from the water treatment system and hemodialysis machines. Results showed no bacteria. Endotoxin tests and chemical tests passed the criteria. After revision of the draft guidelines and additions to the draft guidelines, the final draft was confirmed. The quality of the final draft was evaluated by 4 experts using the AGREE instrument. The mean standard score was 76.9% for the 19 items. Conclusion: The clinical guidelines developed in this research can be utilized as systematic and scientific guidelines for water treatment systems used in hemodialysis. In addition, the results of the research can contribute to improving care services.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop evidence-based nursing practice guidelines for hemodialysis in the renal failure patients with risk of bleeding and to evaluate the guidelines by applying it to the practice. Method: Referring to the SIGN, the first draft for guidelines was developed based on the advices and recommendations obtained from the procedure of critical literature analysis. Then, the draft was modified by the procedures of the expert group evaluation and pilot application to the practice. The final draft was evaluated by the expert group using AGREE instrument. Result: The first draft of guidelines was developed through 8 stages of process and was evaluated by seven experts in terms of the appropriateness, applicability, and effectiveness using a 9 point scale. The mean score of 11 items was 7.90 or above. The quality of the final draft was evaluated by 5 experts using the AGREE instrument. The mean standard score was 73.0% or above in the 19 items. Conclusion: The clinical guidelines developed by this research can be utilized as systematic and scientific guidelines for hemodialysis in the renal failure patients with risk of bleeding. In addition, the research can contribute to improving care services.

This study was conducted to develop user interface design guidelines for those who design education software products (web sites or CD-ROM titles). To establish this guideline scheme, international standards, commercial design guidelines, and research papers were surveyed. Especially, ISO 9241 was referred as a basic model of a guideline scheme. First, the research group developed draft guidelines. After that, education software developers, designers, and a user group reviewed the draft and the draft was revised with their commentations. Five components were selected as a primary class of guideline scheme: general principle, dialogue design, user guidance, visual interface, and information presentation. Each component was divided several components as a secondary class. Finally, 45 items were selected as user interface design guidelines for the education software design.

An issue of human rights abuse in business emerged as a serious social problem recently not only in Korea, but also worldwide. However, the stipulations in 'UNGPs' and 'OECD Guidelines' do not provide a legally binding dispute settlement mechanism. Under these circumstances, it is very well timed that the Working Group on International Arbitration of Business and Human Rights recently published the Draft Hague Rules on Business and Human Rights Arbitration, which will be launched in December 2019 as an effective and efficient alternative to mediation or court litigation. This paper examines the purpose, the structure, and the unique features of the Draft Hague Rules, among other provisions, including 1) Inequality of Arms between the Parties, 2) Appointing Authority, 3) Presiding Arbitrator's Qualification, 4) Evidentiary Procedures, 5) Remedy, and 6) Governing Law.

It is essential to prepare the decommissioning plan for a nuclear power plant (NPP) for the safe decommissioning of the NPP, minimization of the generation of decommissioning wastes, and protection of human beings and environment. Although Kori unit 1 and Wolsong unit 1 will be destined to their decommissioning in Korea in the near future. there is no provisons about preparing the decommissioning plan. In this paper, therefore, the draft guidelines of the decommissioning plan for a NPP were developed by considering the domestic situation, based on the comparative analyses of the regulatory guidelines of the decommissioning plan in U.S., U.K. and France. The draft guidelines are expected to play an important role to modify the domestic laws and regulations on the decommissioning of the NPP, and to give a license holder in charge of decommissioning the detailed instructions for preparing it in advance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop evidence-based nursing practice guidelines for the care of febrile children in the emergency room and to evaluate the guidelines by applying them to practice. Methods: This study was conducted using a methodological design. referring to the Scottish intercollegiate guideline network, draft of guidelines were developed based on the recommendations found from the critical literature analysis. Then, the draft was modified by an expert group and a pilot application. The final draft was evaluated by the expert group using appraisal of guidelines for research and evaluation. Finally, the final guideline and algorithm were completed. Results: The guideline includes 39 recommendations for the care of febrile children in the emergency room. Conclusion: The clinical guidelines developed through this research can be utilized as systematic and scientific guidelines for the care of febrile children in the emergency room. In addition, the research results will contribute to improving care services.

Dietary guidelines are a distillation of dietary advice from health professionals to the general public. They are based upon current scientific knowledge about the relationships between diet and disease, nutrients available in the food supply of a country, and the profile of morbidity and mortality in that country. With two different sets of dietary guidelines used for more than an decade in Korea. the necessity of revising dietary guidelines has been raised continuously from academia and research. Funded by a grant from the Health Technology Planing and Evaluation Board. Dietary guidelines for each age group were drafted as a research project and the one for the Korean elderly is as follows: Dietary Guidelines for the korean elderly(draft) - Have a variety of easily digestible foods on time; at least 3 meals a day and some snakes. - Be physically active to maintain appetite and/or ideal body weight. ; maintain a balance between activity and what you eat. -Increase consumption of bean-and dairy-and dairy-products. - Consume enough amounts of fresh dark-green and yellow vegetables and fresh fruits. - Consume adequate amounts of assorted kind of animal foods including fish, meat and poultry. - If you drink alcoholic beverages, limit your intake and, drink enough water and other averages; alcohol may interact with your medication and affect your appetite. Aforementioned draft and related contents are expected to be utilized as a neat base in formulating(or revising) dietary guidelines for Korean by the Government in near future.

Purpose: This study was done to develop performance appraisal guidelines based on the standardized appraisal tool developed in a previous study. Methods: A preliminary investigation was done to draw up a draft guidelines through a literature review. To verify the content validity of the guidelines, 10 nurse managers reviewed the standardized appraisal tool and draft guidelines. Through this process, the performance appraisal guidelines were revised and supplemented. In order to examine the reliability and validity of the guidelines, 13 nurse managers conducted performance appraisal for 178 nurses. Results: As a result, the items of pre-existing tool was reduced from 63 to 30 for usefulness, and guidelines for each items were developed. Conclusion: The revised performance appraisal tool and guidelines are expected to be useful in objectively evaluating nursing performance objectively.

The purpose of this paper is to propose the draft guidelines of seismic isolation design of Liquid Metal Reactor (LMR) using high damping laminated rubber bearings. The scopes of guidelines include design requirements of a seismically isolated system and components, seismic isolator, isolation system, interface system between seismic isolation and non-seismic isolation part, qualification and acceptance tests of seismic isolator, seismic isolation reliability, and seismic safety and monitoring system. Proposed guidelines shall be revised to extend to general design guideline for nuclear facilities by further research and discussions.

그동안 관심을 모았던 국제적인 안전보건경영시스템(OSH-MS : Occupational Safety and Health management System)이 국제노동기구(ILO)에 의해 개발되어 발표 되었다. 지난 6우러 "국제노동기구의 안전보건경영시스템 지침(ILO Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems)"이란 제목으로 국제노동기구에서 공개했는데, 이것은 작년부터 국제 노동기구가 2001. 6울에 확정 지침을 발표하겠다고 밝힌 이후 나온 것으로써 지난 2우러 공개한 '안전보건경영체제에 대한 기술지침 초안' (Draft ILO Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems)을 4.19~27일 전문가 회의를 개최를 통해 수정 발표한 것이다. 따라서 이번 호에서는 지난 2월 공개된 초안과 6월에 확정된 지침을 비교하면서 확정지침의 내용을 소개 한다.
