리눅스에서 사전공격방지를 위한 이중 암호 인증 시스템 (Double Encryption Authentication System for Resisting Dictionary Attack in Linux)

  • 기존의 리눅스 패스워드 인증 시스템에서는 사용자의 계정을 만들어 처음으로 로그인하여 패스워드를 생성할 때에는 사용자의 프로세스 번호와 패스워드를 생성한 시각에 해당하는 값을 seed로 하여 난수를 발생시켜서 salt값을 만든다. 이 salt값은 사용자가 서로 같은 암호를 사용할 경우 암호가 같은 값으로 저장되는걸 막기 위해서 사용하는데 시스템은 salt값과 사용자 패스워드를 단방향 DES 알고리즘을 사용하여 패스워드 파일을 암호화하여 저장한다. 그러나 패스워드 파일에 사용자암호는 암호화되어 저장되지만, salt값이 그대로 저장되기 때문에 패스워드 파일을 가져가게 된다면 사전공격 해킹툴인 John-the-ripper나 Crack 프로그램 등을 이용하여 쉬운 패스워드는 공격자에 의해 간단하게 풀려버린다. 이러한 사전공격에 대한 취약점을 해결하기 위해 암호화된 사용자 패스워드들을 시스템의 또 다른 비밀키를 사용하여 암호화하는 방법을 도입함으로써 사전공격에 강한 패스워드 인증 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

선체구조의 용접이음부의 피로강도 해석법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the fatigue strength analysis of the welded joints in ship hull construction)

  • In this report, a method to predict the fatigue strength in welded structure member of ship construction is studied considering the effects of statistical characteristics of mild steels and weld toe shapes on the fatigue crack initiation life. The fatigue test under pulsating bending load is carried out with the model specimens of the web frame in double bottom of ship hull. The propriety of the fatigue life curve with probability of failure in the transverse strength members of ship hull construction is confirmed by the comparison with the results of fatigue test on the model of the various transverse strength members.

An experimental-computational investigation of fracture in brittle materials

  • A combined experimental-computational study of a double edge-notched stone specimen subjected to tensile loading is presented. In the experimental part, the load-deformation response and the displacement field around the crack tip are recorded. An Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometer (ESPI) is used to obtain the local displacement field. The experimental results are used to validate a numerical model for the description of fracture using finite elements. The numerical model uses displacement discontinuities to model cracks. At the discontinuity, a plasticity-based cohesive zone model is applied for monotonic loading and a combined damage-plasticity cohesive zone model is used for cyclic loading. Both local and global results from the numerical simulations are compared with experimental data. It is shown that local measurements add important information for the validation of the numerical model. Consequently, the numerical models are enhanced in order to correctly capture the experimentally observed behaviour.

Nondestmctive Evaluation of Cracks in Metal Plates by using SQUID Gradiometer

  • We have detected cracks inside multi-layer metal sheets with nondestructive evaluation system consisting of SQUID gradiometer. Double D-shape coil was carefully designed with computer simulation for spatial distribution of magnetic field. It was aligned and placed in between SQUID and metal sheets in order to reduce the field effect to SQUID and to maximize eddy current in the sheets. The metal plate in bottom of the metal stack contained artificial cracks which were scanned by an X-Y scanning system. The information of crack position and size could be estimated by analysis of SQUID signal. Details of the results will be discussed .

  • Development of a three-dimensional mine visualization model for a section of the mine is addressed first. Discontinuity orientation and location information was taken from this visualization model for use in slope stability analyses. Estimated shear strength properties of discontinuities and mechanical properties of intact rock from the rock mass samples obtained from the mine are discussed next. The third part of the paper is focused on the results obtained for maximum safe slope angles for the section considered of the mine based on block theory analysis conducted under only the gravitational forces using the mapped discontinuities at the mine. Finally, the effects of water that exist in the rock mass, a tension crack, slope face inclination, overall wedge height and double benching on factor of safety of wedge stability are illustrated through limit equilibrium slope stability analyses conducted on a single tetrahedral wedge belonging to potential key block category that exist in the investigated area of the mine.

  • The Mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of woven fabric carbon/epoxy and glass/epoxy composites for a train carbody was measured and FEM analysis was conducted. The woven fabric epoxy composite manufactured by hand lay-up, has high stiffness and strength, good resistance for impact, fatigue, corrosion and in-plane failure. The DCB(Double Cantilever Beam) specimen made of woven fabric epoxy composite had the size of 180mm $\times$ 25mm $\times$ 5mm and the insert of 65mm. The Mode I interlaminar toughness of specimen was measured according to ASTM 5528-01. The crack propagation behavior of the DCB specimen was simulated using FEA with cohesive elements that model the adhesive layer between woven fabric plies.

  • 초전도후막의 제작방법으로 전기영동전착법을 균일하고 치밀한 전착후막을 얻을 수 있는 공정기술로 2층 구조 또는 다층구조의 후막제조기술과 2중 전착기술을 개발 적용하였다. 전기영동전착법을 통한 YBCO초전도 후막제작공정에서 전착 시 발생되는 균열현상과 기공의 발생을 2중 전착을 통하여 최소화 시킬 수 있었으며 Ag보호막을 통한 외부의 물리적 변화에 따른 안정성을 확보하였다. 전기영동전착후막 표면안정화 기술 개선과 확보를 통하여 초전도 후막의 전기적 특성을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단되며 초전도 후막의 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 여러 파라메터 중 후막표면의 미세균열현상과 기공현상을 억제할 수 있는 기술로 2중 전착 및 다층구조의 공정기술을 적용하여 기존의 공정에 비하여 매우 향상된 후막을 얻을 수 있었다.

A probabilistic micromechanical framework for self-healing polymers containing microcapsules

  • A probabilistic micromechanical framework is proposed to quantify numerically the self-healing capabilities of polymers containing microcapsules. A two-step self-healing process is designed in this study: A probabilistic micromechanical framework based on the ensemble volume-averaging method is derived for the polymers, and a hitting probability model combined with a crack nucleation model is then utilized for encountering microcapsules and microcracks. Using this framework, a series of parametric investigations are performed to examine the influence of various model parameters (e.g., the volume fraction of microcapsules, microcapsule radius, radius ratio of microcracks to microcapsules, microcrack aspect ratio, and scale parameter) on the self-healing capabilities of the polymers. The proposed framework is also implemented into a finite element code to solve the self-healing behavior of tapered double cantilever beam specimens.

열처리 조건에 따른 무전해 Ni/전해 Cr 이중도금의 계면반응 및 균열성장거동 분석 (Effects of Heat Treatment Conditions on the Interfacial Reactions and Crack Propagation Behaviors in Electroless Ni/electroplated Cr Coatings)

  • 무전해 Ni/전해Cr이중도금 구조에서 무전해 Ni의 결정화 열처리 조건이 Cr도금의 균열성장 및 Ni/Cr계면반응에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 비정질 무전해 Ni/전해 Cr 도금 후 $750^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 동안 1회 열처리한 시편을1단계 열처리 조건으로 정했다. 또한, 무전해 Ni도금 후 동일 열처리를 통해 결정화 시킨 후, 전해 Cr도금 후 한번 더 동일조건 열처리한 경우를 2단계 열처리 조건으로 정하여 상호 비교하였다. 두 가지 열처리 조건 모두에서 공통적으로 Ni/Cr계면에서 상호확산에 의한 Ni-Cr고용체band layer가 관찰되었다. 1단계 열처리 조건의 경우 Cr도금에 관통균열이 발생하였으며, 2단계 열처리 조건의 경우 Cr도금에 표면 미소균열만 형성되고 관통균열은 거의 발생하지 않았다. 이는 무전해 Ni도금 직후 열처리에 의해 Ni-P비정질 구조에서 Ni, $Ni_3P$상으로 결정화되면서 급격한 체적 감소가 발생하여 Cr층의 잔류응력 완화에 영향을 끼쳐서, 상부 전해 Cr도금의 관통균열 형성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다.

자동차용 고강도 폴리머 복합재료의 변형과 강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Deformation and Strength of High-Strength Polymer Composites Using Automobiles)

  • Nowadays study on recycling disused plastics for automobiles was lively progressed. Rubber and talcum powder was added to retrieve degradation of physical properties caused by recycling disused polypropylene. The effect of the temperature, the fatigue load and the loading speed on DEN(double edged notch) specimen which was made by the pp-rubber composites during fracture was studied by. DEN specimen was made on PP-rubber composites through the injection molding. With increasing temperature the fracture strength was linearly decreased and the fracture energy was increased by $0^{\circ}C$ and after that decreased. In the same temperature the fracture strength during increasing the notch radius was hardly increased. The fracture behaviour at low and high loading speed was different entirely. At high loading speed plastic region was small and fracture behaviour was seen to brittle fracture tendency. With increasing fatigue load fracture energy was first rapidly decreased and subsequently steady when radius of notch tip was 2mm, but Maximum load during fracture scarcely varied. The deformation mechanism of polypropylene-rubber composites during fracture was studied by SEM fractography. A strong plastic deformation of the matrix ahead of the notch/crack occurred. The deformation seem to be enhanced by a thermal blunting of the notch/crack.
