Nano-Electro-Mechanical MOSFET (NEMFET) using Double-Gate MOSFET (DGMOS) structure can efficiently control the short channel effect. Espatially, subthreshold current of depletion-mode Double-Gate NEMFET (Dep-DGNEMFET) decreases in the off-state due to the thin equivalent-oxide thickness. Analytical $t_gap$ vs. $V_g$ equation for Dep-DGNEMFET is derived and characteristics for different device structures are analyzed. Dep-DGNEMFET structure is optimized to satisfy ITRS criteria.

Purpose: To determine the effect of sex communication with friends and sexual double standard on contraceptive self-efficacy among university students. Methods: With a survey design, data were collected from 251 university students from three universities in G city from September 2016 to October 2016. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Sex communication with friends, sexual double standard, and contraceptive self-efficacy scores of participants were $58.82{\pm}8.78$, $21.73{\pm}6.00$, and $44.20{\pm}5.91$, respectively. Sex communication with friends and sexual double standard were related to contraceptive self-efficacy. Sexual double standard, sex communication with friends, female, contraceptive education, and contraceptive experience explained 33% of contraceptive self-efficacy of participants. Conclusion: Sexual double standard and sex communication with friends were influencing factors of contraceptive self-efficacy. To improve contraceptive self-efficacy of university students, a program is needed to eliminate sexual double standard and improve sex communication with friends among university students in Korea.

This study observed the effects of the double combination of temperatures-times (2 temperatures: 2 times combination, 2T2T) in sous vide cooking method on the physicochemical properties and collagen solubility (CS) of semitendinosus muscle from cattle and goat as a comparison to common sous vide treatment (1 temperature: 1 time combination, 1T1T). The new invention of sous vide cooking method (2T2T) cooked at the first temperature at $45^{\circ}C$ for 3 h, and the second temperature at $60^{\circ}C$, $65^{\circ}C$, and $70^{\circ}C$ for 3 h, and labeled as N45-60, N45-65, and N45-70, respectively. While, common sous vide treatment (1T1T) were cooked directly for 6 h at $60^{\circ}C$ (T60), $65^{\circ}C$ (T65), and $70^{\circ}C$ (T70). Results revealed that cooking with 2T2T treatment improved the water-holding capacity and reduced the cooking loss of both beef and goat meat. The $L^*$ values have no apparent changes between treatment in beef and goat meat, while $a^*$ values of N45-60 treated goat presented markedly higher values than other treatments but an only slight increase in beef at the same treatment (p>0.05). Again, 2T2T treatment tended to decrease mean shear force (SF) values for beef and goat meat with the lowest SF values recorded at N45-60, and the CS no or less influenced this value. Therefore, the application of innovative sous vides cooking method (2T2T) presented comparable values in the treated beef and goat meat as compared to common sous vide method (1T1T).

The main goal was to evaluate effectiveness of a modified TSE sequence compared with DIR (double inversion recovery) sequence in acquisition of fast flow brain vessel images using signal void effect. 32 healthy volunteers (10 men and 22 women; mean age of 31 years; ranging between 28-43 years) who underwent black blood DIR sequence (group A) and the modified TSE sequence (group B) were enrolled in our study. Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) of the internal carotid arteries' lumen were compared in T1 and T2 weighted images for both group A and B. The images obtained from group B showed lower SNR values in internal carotid artery than the group A in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (11.49% and 13.66% respectively). While the CNR values were higher in the group B than the group A in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images (8.69% and 7.55 % respectively). The qualitative score of all categories were not significantly different between the two groups. Furthermore approximately 49% of the total scan time was reduced from group B. Our study is to shorten the scanning time and minimize the inconveniences of the patients in acquisition of the black blood images of brain by using the signal void effect in the modified TSE technique while keeping the diagnostic value of the test.

Oil Tight Bulkhead (O. T. Bulkhead) is one of the most important structural members of oil tankers in the views of vessel's strength and safety. Therefore O.T. bulkhead's strength should be sufficient against relevant loadings, which is normally verified by local scantling requirement and structural strength analysis defined in CSR (Common Structure Rules for Double Hull Oil Tankers). However, there is a weak-able situation when the vertical stiffeners are cut due to the penetration of cargo pipes through O. T. Bulkhead. In addition, CSR does not define how to prove the strength of this case. Therefore it is necessary to verify the structural adequacy in case that several vertical stiffeners are discontinued. This article intends to prove the strength of O. T. Bulkhead with five (5) vertical stiffeners discontinued due to pipes' penetration using the grillage analysis and the finite element analysis and to provide proper reinforcement.

Binding interactions between a positively charged porphyrin derivative TMAP(meso-tetra(p-trimethylanilinium-4-yl)porphyrin) and triple helical $(dT)_{12}{\cdot}(dA)_{12}{\cdot}(dT)_{12}$, as well as double helical $(dA)_{12}{\cdot}(dT)_{12}$ have been studied with NMR, UV and CD spectroscopy to obtain the detailed information about the binding mode and binding site. UV melting studies showed both DNA duplex and triple helix represented very similar UV absorption patterns upon binding TMAP, but the presence of third strand of triple helical $(dT)_{12}{\cdot}(dA)_{12}{\cdot}(dT)_{12}$, inhibited improvement in thermal stability in terms of melting temperature, $T_m$. In addition, the TMAP molecule is thought to bind to the major groove, according to CD and NMR data. But absence of the clear isosbestic point in UV absorption spectra represented that binding of TMAP to DNA duplex as well as DNA triplex did not show a single binding mode, rather complex binding modes.

In this paper, we present some recent results on weighted pointwise convergence and the rate of pointwise convergence for the family of nonlinear double singular integral operators in the following form: $$T_{\eta}(f;x,y)={\int}{\int\limits_{{\mathbb{R}^2}}}K_{\eta}(t-x,\;s-y,\;f(t,s))dsdt,\;(x,y){\in}{\mathbb{R}^2},\;{\eta}{\in}{\Lambda}$$, where the function $f:{\mathbb{R}}^2{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ is Lebesgue measurable on ${\mathbb{R}}^2$ and ${\Lambda}$ is a non-empty set of indices. Further, we provide an example to support these theoretical results.

Single crystal $AgGaSe_2$ layers were grown on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate at $420^{\circ}C$ with hot wall epitaxy (HWE) system by evaporating $AgGaSe_2$ source at $630^{\circ}C$. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $AgGaSe_2$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_g(T)=19501 eV-(879{\times}10^{-4} eV/K)T^2/(T+250 K)$.

The discoveries of high temperature superconductors received great attention due to their high critical temperatures. These materials also exhibit extremely high critical magnetic fields and high critical current density at low temperature, high magnetic field. Thus, they are the most promising materials for superconducting magnets above 20 T. In this talk, progress in the development of HTS materials and insert coils at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory will be reviewed. In 1999, a Bi-2212 stack of double pancakes generated 3 T in a 19 T background field. These results will be reviewed in terms of implications for future systems. Individual double pancakes of Bi-2223 have also been tested and their performance will also be discused. The present goal of a 57 system will be presented and the key technical requirements for larger, higher field systems will be addressed. It will be shown that in addition to increased critical current density, improved mechanical performance (stain resistanced) is necessary for high field systems. Furthemore, improvements in the conductor n-value will improve prospects for operational systems.

Intentionally weakened girders near the beam-to-colum connection lead ductile failures at the weakened points prior to potential brittle failure at the connection points subjected to strong earthquake. Recent research investigated cyclic behavior of composite beams with a rectangular web opening and find out ductile failure of such beams due to plastic hinge formation of T-section at the four corners of the rectangular opening. But eventual failures of T-sections are resulted from local buckling of T-section having a narrow stem and a narrow bound of plastic hinge formation. This continuing research proposes double-circular opening instead of rectangular one in ofter to improve energy dissipation capacity as well as composite beam strength, Experimental test of two specimens was carried out and its results are compared with those of nonlinear finite element analyses
