  • In order to reduce automobile parts weight, TWB(Tailored welded blank) forming is widely used in the forming of car panel, such as door inner, side outer panels. In this study, one of the current problems of TWB forming was analyzed, especially for the try-out process of TWB door inner panel without frame. A comparison was made between actual panel measurements and results of forming analysis for formability and springback.

  • A Control variables of explosion pressure in enclosure are a type of explosive gas, concentration of mixture, open area in enclosure. In this study, be performed to test inner explosion pressure of Blast Proof Door by the control variables of explosion pressure. and this real explosion test of Blast Proof Door have a good point in test of the against pressure method that can be obtained dynamic pressure or not static pressure.

  • Computer simulations and test trials are carried out to get the optimal conditions about the stamping die design of the tailor laser welded automotive door inner. Firstly, the stamping process including gravity deflection, bead calibration, binder wrap, forming and spring back, are analyzed by the computer simulation. The results of simulation shows good correspondance with those of test trial under the same conditions. The variables of parametric study which will be investigated in the simulation and test trials, are determined form the results of the first run. The formability under the various conditions is evaluated, which are the initial postion of blank, blank holding force, corner radius and the shape of drawbead. Finally, well controled sound product without fracture, wrinkling and excessive weldline movement is obtained.

  • Since plug type passenger door has two motion modes, power transmission unit must be capable of plug-in or plug-out, and sliding mode. Complex planetary gear train is proposed, which is composed of two 2K-H, I type planetary gear units. For the proposed complex planetary gear train, ranges of addendum modification coefficients which would not lead to interferences is analyzed, and optimal addendum modification coefficients among these ranges which generate the maximum efficiency are presented. Based on the interference, efficiency and torque ratio analysis results, complex planetary new train is designed and manufactured.

  • This paper describes an implementation method for the people counting system which detects and tracks moving people using a fixed single camera. This system counts the number of moving objects (people) entering the security door. Moreover, the detected objects are tracked by the proposed tracking algorithm before entering the door. The proposed system with In-tel Pentium IV operates at an average rate of 10 frames a second on real world scenes where up to 6 persons come into the view of a vertically mounted camera.

  • In this paper, modeling of brushless DC motor (BLDC) driving system for platform screen door control applied fuel cell power generation system has been proposed. At first the system configuration and operational principle of the developed fuel cell simulator has been investigated and the design of BLDC motor driving system is studied and the overall performance and dynamics of the proposed system could be effectively examined by simulation. PSIM simulation program is implemented to verify the performance and compatibility of the fuel cell power generation system and BLDC motor control system modeling.

  • A Recently elevator accidents were occurred and increased due to carelessness of user and violent behavior. The accident of door detachment in elevator platform by electronic motor scooter show a example of safety concerns and insensibility for safety awareness. In this report, we review the cause of accident of door detachment in elevator platform by electronic motor scooter, and show some suggestions of preventing from the safety concerns about this case.

  • Recently, awareness of noise is increased and high performance sound insulation performance wall is designed. But in spite of installing high performance sound insulation performance wall, sound insulation performance in space is reduced by door. In this study, Sound insulation performance of doors which commonly used in buildings was measured to analyze current situation in the field and effect of method which increase sound insulation performance is analyzed quantitatively. As a result, sound insulation performance of doors which commonly used in buildings is FSTC 17~29 and can be increased about 2~3 dB by install rubber seal or mohair.

  • As a modem urban train is getting complex in terms of high-technology in its systems and components, the failure management should be performed with scientific and systematic technique. FMEA is a technique to analyze the failure trends of component parts and influences to the higher level system in order to discover the design incompleteness and potential defects, which is for improving reliability. Especially, FMECA (Failure Mode Effects, and Criticality Analysis) is used in case that the criticality that has an immense influence to the system is important. In case of urban train, in its design and manufacturing steps, FMEA is frequently used as an analysis technique to meet the safety objectives and eliminate potential hazards/failures since the concepts of reliability of train is introduced these days. Though, FMEA technique in the maintenances steps lacks in its investigation and applications yet. FMEA is also not applied to the trains operated by Seoul metro in the design and manufacture steps excepts the newest trains. In this paper, through analyzing the failures/maintenance data of the belt-type door systems used in trains operated in Seoul metro Line 1, which is accumulated in RIMS (Rolling-stock Information Maintenance System), FMEA procedures to the belt-type door engines are proposed. Especially, an effort is made, to approach the detailed FMECA procedures to the door magnet valve and switch and door engine devices which vastly influences the customer safety and satisfaction.
