Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate Oriental Medicine Therapy on the Lumbosacral plexitis patient. Methods : The patient was treated with dry needle acupuncture, bee venom pharmacupuncture, herb medicine, indirect moxibustion and physical therapy. We estimated S kinds of Symptoms by Visual Analog Scale, lower limb motor grade test, gait condition test and sensory examination to evaluate the effect of Oriental conservative treatment. Results : After treatment, patient's visual analogue scale score were generally decreased 10 to 4 and lower limb muscle power and gait condition were improved. Conclusions : Oriental Medicine Therapy might be an effective method to treat the Lumbosacral plexitis patient who was diagnosed as Wei Symptom. It is necessary to have more observation and many cases of patients with Lumbosacral plexitis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of Postural Yinyang Correction of TMJ(Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy; FCST) on Bell's palsy. Methods : We reviewed the medical records of 41 patients who were treated for Bell's palsy at the Dept. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Dong-Eui University from January $1^{st}$, 2016 to August $31^{st}$, 2016. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Group A(n=21), and Group B(n=20). Patients in Group A were treated by Korean Medical Treatments with FCST using ABA(Accurate Balancing Appliance), a standard intra-oral appliance. Patients in Group B were treated by Korean Medical Treatments without FCST. To estimate the efficacy in recovering palsy, we analyzed the House-Brackmann Grading Scale and Yanagihara's Unweighted Grading System. Results : In both groups, H-B grades were improved significantly during each period except the period from the first visit to one week later(P01). The improvement of H-B grade during each period in Group A is higher than Group B except the period from one week later to two weeks later, but statistically insignificant. In Group A, Y-score was significantly improved during each period except during P01. In group B, Y-score was significantly improved during each period except during P01 and the period from the first visit to two weeks later. The improvement of Y-score during each period in Group A is higher than Group B, but statistically insignificant. Conclusions : FCST using Standard Intraoral Appliance may be helpful in treating Bell's Palsy, but the further researches are needed.

This study aimed to show the effects of Korean medicine treatment (particularly bee-venom pharmacopunture) on a patient with brachial plexus palsy. A 64-year-old woman was diagnosed with brachial plexus palsy on the right upper extremity and was treated with Korean and Western medicine from September 30^th to November 6^th, 2019. Improvement of the patient's symptoms was evaluated using the Manual Muscle Test, Range of Motion and visual analogue scale. After treatment, the patient's Manual Muscle Test grade and Range of Motion were improved, and the Visual Analogue Scale score indicated the intensity of her right hand numbness had decreased. These results suggested that improper use of crutches can result in brachial plexus palsy and a Korean-Western medicine treatment regimen primarily focused on bee-venom pharmacopunture, may be effective in reducing the symptoms of brachial plexus palsy.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to evidence the effect of Dong-Shi Acupuncture by improving degree of forty four patients who have received a Dong-Shi Acupuncture therapy at Dong Eui oriental hospital OPD and chiefly complained for neck pain and related symptoms. Materials and Methods: Forty four patients were diagnosed with physical inspection and radiography, and investigated into the effect of treatment sharing before treatment and after 2 weeks and 4 weeks treatment by Dr. Kim's method. Results and Conclusions: The conclusion of this study was that improving degree of forty four patients who have received a Dong-Shi acupuncture therapy for all items and excellence of the Dong-Shi Acupuncture was evidenced.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture(舍巖五行鍼法) with Linqi-aupuncture(六氣鍼法)-the transforms of Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture. Methods : Zheng Ge(正格), Sheng(勝格), Han Ge(寒格), Re Ge(熱格) of Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture compared with Liuqi-acupuncture(六氣鍼法)-therapy form invigoration and purgation of five zang-fu's wind. heat, dapness, dryness and cold(風熱濕燥寒). Results: 1. Liuqi-acupuncture used five-su points(五兪穴) and Zi-Ta Jing Bu Xie(自他經補瀉). 2. Liuqi-acupuncture is reinforced or reduced itself-point of itself-meridian(自經自穴) in therapy for invigoration and purgation. 3. Liuqi-acupuncture is therapy for invigoration and purgation of five zang-fu's wind, hear, dampness, dryness and cold(風熱濕燥寒). 4. Zheng Ge is similar to Bu-fa, Sheng Ge is similar to Xie-fa in Qu-xue of Ta-jing. The Qu-xue of interrestraining relations is the same, but that of interdependent relation is the difference in Qu-xure of Zi-jing. 5. Han Ge and Re Ge is similar to Re Bu Xie fa in Qu-xue fo Zi-jing but is different to in Ta-zing. For example, Han Ge is Shaofu(Bu), Yingu(Xie) but Re Ge is Shaofu(Xie), Yingu(Bu).

The researcher categorized the acupuncture methods mentioned in DongUiBoGam according to the form, and examined how to select and use the acupuncture points explained in the Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescription. By comparing the original text to the Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescriptions, it was established that the various acupuncture points in these Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescriptions all had individual meaning. Also, it showed that DongUiBoGam didn't indicate a particular acupuncture point but allowed a possibility for selection according to the patient's condition and the skill of the practitioner.

By process of treatment for a case which diagnosed as HNP of left posterolateral aspect of L4/5 disc and treated from the 10th, May 2001 to the 23rd, Jun 2001, the results are as follows. Method & Results : This patient was medicated Hwallaktang-gami, taken acupuncture, phototherapy, TENS, electric acupuncture, exercises, Mori Cortex-bee venom acupuncture. As a result, the patient's clinical symptom were improved but a computed tomagraphy confirmed L4/5 and L5/S1 HNP was not changed as seen on repeated CT scanning. Conclusion : These results suggest that among conservative therapies the oriental medical treatments including Mori Cortex-bee venom acupuncture improve clinical symptom effectively. But in this case, the structure of herniated disc was not changed.

This case study was performed to investigate the effects of Chongsimyonja-tang and Dong's acupuncture therapy on senile macular degeneration patient who has been treated in the Dong-Eui oriental hospital. A 57-year-old female with senile macular degeneration complained of headaches, heaviness of the ache, night sweat, dizziness. For a duration of 2 months, We prescribed Chongsimyonja-tang, and added 3-4 herbs according to the symtoms and also treated the patient with Dong s acupuncture therapy. After 2 months, the patient's eyesight improved ($0.2{\rightarrow}0.7$) and the headaches disappeared, as did heaviness of the ache, night sweat, and dizziness. In this case Chongsimyonja-tang and Dong's acupuncture therapy present valuable treatment of senile macular degeneration.

The aqua-acupuncture blended with liquid medicine and acupuncture is known to be effective in treating various medical disorders. This study used gallbladders of bear (WoongDam, WD, Ursus arctos Linne) and pig(JeoDam, JD, Sus scrofa domestica Brisson) plus the stones from the ox gallbladder(WooHwang, WH, Bos taurus var, domesticus Gmelin) to produce the liquid medicine. For the acupuncture, acupoint of ST -36 which is located one finger breadth from the anterior crest of the tibia was selected. There were a couple of purposes in this experiment. First, the relationship between aqua-acupuncture and gastric activity was scrutinized. Secondly, the possibility of pig gallbladder as an alternative organ to bear gallbladder for making liquid medicine was evaluated. Thirdly, different injection concentration ratio of liquid medicine was tried to figure out the optimal dosage for the aqua-acupuncture. The data of the present results indicated that the mixtures of WD + WH and JD + WH have a similar hypotonic effect on the stomach. These findings illustrated that aqua-acupuncture or hydroacupuncture showed inhibitory effect on the stomach in addition to its well-known prophylactic value. Also the possible alternative medical organ of pig gallbladder was checked out since two mixtures illustrated very similar trends in suppressing the gastric activity. The injection concentration ratio was not very different between two mixtures in terms of gastric motility except a couple of ratio. In conclusion, the aqua-acupuncture is a promising way to control the gastric activity for better medical purposes and the gallbladder of pig was assessed as a prospective one for making a liquid medicine.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the patient with radial nerve palsy, who improved by oriental medical treatment. Methods : The patient was managed by Cathami Flos aqua-acupuncture, Dong-Qi acupuncture treatment, Comman acupuncture treatment and Herbal medicine. We took pictures of patient's wrist and checked the power of muscles. And we checked the numbness of thumb that was patient's subjective sensation. Results : After 2 weeks-treatment, the movement and power of wrist was restored to nearly normal range, also the numbness of thumb was removed. Combined oriental medical treatment can treat radial nerve palsy earlier than the other methods. Conclusions : The results suggest that combination of Cathami Flos aqua-acupuncture, Dong-Qi acupuncture treatment, Comman acupuncture treatment and Herbal medicine is good method for treatments of radial nerve palsy. But further studies are required to concretely prove the effectiveness of this method for treating radial nerve palsy.
