네일 제품의 유해물질 안전성 검토 및 관리제도 개선 연구 (Study on the safety review and management system of Hazardous substances in nail products)

  • 본 연구는 최근 화장품 유해성분에 관한 이슈를 끊임없이 제기되면서 네일 제품에서 발생할 수 있는 유해물질 인체 노출 저감을 위한 안전관리 방안 마련을 목적으로 국내외 문헌고찰을 통해 네일 제품의 안전 표시 기준 현황을 비교 분석하고, 네일 제품 내 유해물질 허용 기준치 초과 사례를 파악하였다. 연구 결과 국내 유통된 인조 손톱 접착제와 네일팁에서 각각 톨루엔 40.3배, 클로로포름 22.8배, 안티몬 15.4배 초과 검출되었다. 선진국은 다양한 정책연구 및 법제화를 통해 작업장 물질안전보건자료 제공 및 환기 장치 설치 등을 의무화하고 있으나 국내에서는 별도의 안전 기준이 없어 네일 제품을 통한 유해물질 인체 노출이 심각한 상황이다. 따라서 네일 제품 작업환경 종사자 소비자 각각의 특성에 맞게 세부 네일 유해물질 안전관리 규정이 우선적으로 정립되어야 하고, 이에 따른 다양한 교육 프로그램 개발 및 보급을 통해 유해물질 화장품에 대한 인지도를 제고한다면 국민의 질병예방 및 건강증진의 융복합적 차원에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 국내에서는 1997년 우수 재활용제품(good recycled product, GR) 인증 제도를 도입하여 자원과 에너지 사용효율 개선을 증진하고 있으나 산업계 및 사회 전반적으로 재활용 소재에 대한 인식 부족으로 인해 재활용 제품 사용이 잘되지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 니켈 소재의 국내·외 품질 기준 현황을 조사하였고, 광석으로부터 제조된 황산니켈과 폐리튬이온전지로부터 재소재화 된 황산니켈에 대하여 전해도금 공정에서의 순도 및 전기화학적 특성을 평가하였다. 평가 결과, 전해도금 산업에서 사용 시 재활용 황산니켈과 고순도 황산니켈 시약의 품질은 차이가 없는 것으로 판단된다.

Korean consumers' attitudes towards organic labels and country-of-origin of organic foods

  • Although the South Korean organic food market is in the infancy compared to other industrialized countries, Korean consumers'interest in organic food and retail stores devoting space to organic products have been rapidly increasing. Despite the fact of organic food popularity, the term "organic" is interpreted differently by individuals. As opposed to the US, Japan and the EU where have operated an integrated organic food labelling system, Korea has adopted complex organic labelling systems regulated by several different government bodies. As a result, complicated food labelling standards make consumers confused when purchasing organic foods. Furthermore, in terms of country of origin (COO), it is argued by a lot of researchers that COO effects vary from product to product and from country to country; moreover, other informational cues such as brand and price can influence COO effects. In modern society, COO labelling has been complicated, due to the sourcing, manufacturing and market locations of merchandise spread over the world. Accordingly, the evaluation of COO effects has become complex. In order to examine these issues, a quantitative research was selected to classify the commonfeatures of organic food consumers and construct statistics such as the extent to which people are aware of organic food and COO labellingvia a questionnaire which took place in two cities in Korea with a cluster sample of 161 organic food purchasers. As for the data analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), T-tests, bivariate crosstatulations with Cramer's V were conducted,depending on the characteristics of variables and the assumptions the research data need to fit. It has been concluded that in general, Korean organic consumers comprehend the term "organic"in a closer way to the general concept rather than technical term, thus people do not appreciate environmentally labels which include organic food labels, although marital status influence the degree of label awareness, regardless of gender, age, education level and so on. Regarding COO effects on organic food, home organic products were Korean consumers'first choice over those from industrialized countries and developing nations. Specifically, in processed organic product category, domestically cultivated and processed organic products were absolutely preferred to leading national brands produced with imported ingredients and international brands. However, due to a lack of checks of ingredients' COO, consumers tend to purchase a leading national organic food brand, believing that it is a pure organic food sourced domestically. As a consequence, this research has suggested some important managerial implications and future research directions. In order to prevent consumer confusion when buying organic foods, it should be noted that consumers do not comprehend the organic food certifications, due to complicated labelling systems for organic produce and processed organic foods. Therefore, government bodies related to organic food distribution have to know consumers' perception of organic food labels and the significance of customer-oriented labels and reestablish labelling standards. Similarly, public advertising should be followed to raise public awareness of the labelling to enable customers to have the correct information. In addition, not only international marketers but also domestic marketers need to understand COO images and also the influence COO of ingredients has on the image of an organic product.

홍콩 친환경 재생공간의 친환경성 분석 (An Environment-friendly Analysis of Hong-kong Environment-friendly Reuse Space)

  • The purpose of this study is to extract environment-friendly planning elements to apply in Korea by putting together and reclassifying four foreign environment-friendly certification systems related to regeneration spaces - LEED in USA, CASBEE in Japan, BREEAM in England and BEAM in Hong Kong - and analyze and evaluate domestic and foreign spaces which were certified as Environment-friendly spaces in order to offer plan guidelines to raise awareness of the importance of environment-friendly elements in regeneration spaces and to encourage them. The concept and the characteristics of green building were studied through documentary survey. In addition, green certification system of the present domestic new spaces and foreign regeneration spaces was studied and assessment tools for indoor regenerated spaces-related green certification system were developed. With checklists which are developed in this study, level of going green of foreign spaces certified environment-friendly was assessed. Based on the results of this study, conclusions are as follows. As a result of case research of spaces-certified green of Hong-Kong's existing buildings with a developed checklist, application of general assessment part was all alike, but that of detailed assessment part was different. However, Hong Kong showed superiority in lighting energy saving, separate collection of recyclable domestic waste, recycling by-product and management. In addition, Hong Kong applied eco-friendly planning elements maintaining buildings in their condition as possible as it could with management, use of green program, replacement with high efficiency lighting, monitoring system, installation of recycling bins and energy saving by attaching reflective film.

국내 및 수입브랜드의 핸드크림이 소비자 구매인식과 피부 유, 수분에 미치는 영향 (Hand Cream purchase consumer awareness of Domestic and Foreign Brands and effect of Sebum and Moisture in the Skin)

  • 핸드크림이 국내 및 수입브랜드에 따른 소비자 구매인식과 피부 유, 수분량에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위하여 수도권 지역의 여성 105명을 대상으로 핸드크림에 대한 사용현황과 구매현황, 인시에 대한 설문조사를 진행하였다. 이후 시장 조사를 토대로 핸드크림의 가격과 용량, 전 성분을 비교하였고, 고가와 저가, 수입 브랜드와 국내 브랜드로 나누어 17명의 임상실험 대상자를 선정하여 2주 동안 핸드크림 사용 전과 사용 후 수분과 유분, 수분 지속력을 측정하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 핸드크림이 가격과 브랜드가 품질에 미치는 영향이 크다고 생각하는 사람의 비율이 높았으며, 고가와 저가, 수입브랜드와 국내브랜드의 가격을 분석한 결과 1mg (g)당 가격이 최대 4배정도 차이가 나는 것으로 조사되었다. 전 성분을 비교한 결과 보습제인 글리세린과 피부 컨디셔닝제인 세테아릴알코올을 공통적으로 함유하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 임상실험 결과 제품 그룹별 유, 수분량의 변화는 유의하게 확인되었으나, 제품을 고가와 저가, 수입브랜드에 따른 수분과 유분량의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 결과를 확인하였으며, 수분 지속력 역시 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 결과를 나타냈다. 이와 같은 결과는 가격과 브랜드의 차이가 피부의 유, 수분 함량에 미치는 영향과의 상관관계가 없음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 하루에도 여러번씩 사용하는 소비성이 뛰어난 제품임을 감암할 때 소비자의 니즈를 파악하여 핸드크림에 대한 제품 품질 향상에 기여할 수 있는 기초 자료가 될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

An analysis of the effects of Japan's nuclear power plant accident on Korean consumers' response to imported food consumption

  • This study was intended to identify the main factors responsible for the decline in purchase of imported agricultural and fish products after Japan's nuclear power plant accident in 2011 and to compare the effects on imported agricultural produce and imported fish products. Logit model and multiple regression model analyses were performed using consumers' survey data. Psychological and qualitative factors reflecting consumers' food safety awareness and purchasing preferences, which were extracted by Factor analysis, were included as the models' explanatory variables, along with socio-demographic and economic factors. The Logit estimation showed aged, married, and low-income households had significantly higher probability of reducing their purchases of imported agricultural and fish products. However, the multiple regression results pointed out that the actual rate of decrease of imported agricultural and fish products purchases were more significantly affected by non-socio demographic factors such as past experience of purchasing imported agricultural and fish products, future intention to purchasing Japanese agricultural and fish products, and the ratio of imported to domestic agricultural and fish products before the nuclear accident, as well as consumers' feeling of food insecurity and their purchasing preferences. Moreover, the results showed that Korean consumers have reacted more sensitively to the decline in imported fish products than imported agricultural produce after the nuclear accident based on the marginal effects of various socio-demographic and economic factors.

우유 공동 광고 캠페인의 개선 방향 및 제언 (Plan and Suggestion for the Cooperatives Milk Campaign Improvement)

  • Since IMF relief financing, domestic economy has been rapidly cooled down. At this point that we predict an overall decrease of production and sale of industries, cooperative marketing activities of the whole dairy industry are required to promote milk consumption. As everyone knows, advertisement is only one of the various factors that affect sales. Other factors include price, distribution, package, promotion, and consumer's needs and taste. The objectives of the cooperative advertising campaign should be trial purchase of new consumers, maintenance of brand loyalty of existing consumers, more positive experience of using the product, and increase of frequency of purchase. Long term analysis is essential to making these kinds of behaviour changes. Also the objectives of the communication program should be a shift of awareness of milk from 'a basic health food for children' to a substitute to the beverage even for adults. To share database of consumers among companies, we need to find ways to use interactive on-line services, the internet, D.M. events and so on as well as the mass media. It should be a precondition that the main body of the cooperative advertisement includes the milk processing board, dairy companies, livestock cooperations, farmers and the Government. To assure continuous, activities to promote milk consumption, the Government should take the lead in legislating 'An enforcement ordinance for milk promotion and research', and seek complementary measures and support to establish the ordinance.

국내 육가공 산업의 현황과 전망 (Current status and prospect of Korea meat processing industry)

  • The objective of this paper is to understand the history, current status, and future of Korea meat processing industry. The numbers of businesses, employees and distribution in the domestic meat processing industry have steadily increased year by year. The trends of the Korea meat processing market are being launched with customized products due to rapid changes in consumer's lifestyle. Futhermore, the misconceptions against meat products have been still going on these days. Thus, meat products are perceived as a representative food for fast food and junk food to consumers, and growth of meat processing industry was slow-down due to concerns that some additives contained in meat products, such as phosphate and nitrite may not be good for human health, as World Health Organization (WHO) reported a couple of years ago. Therefore, future meat processing industries should be developed safe, and high quality consumer-oriented products. Finally, it will be able to achieve the unlimited development of the Korea meat processing industry by monitoring rapidly changing consumer needs, improving awareness and producing high quality meat products.

A study on analysis of 7-Eleven's competition structure and competitiveness using Porter's 5 Force model

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the competitive environment of 7-Eleven using Porter's 5 Force model to analyze the specific competitiveness of 7-Eleven that has maintained continuous growth as a competitive company. Methods: This study is a case study of 7-Eleven. Results: As a result of the analysis, 7-Eleven has reinforced its competitiveness with existing competitors by raising entry barriers by expanding domestic stores and developing overseas convenience store business, focusing on North America, based on economy of scale. In addition, 7-Eleven seeks to differentiate itself from other convenience stores by developing a "private brand" and strengthens its bargaining power with suppliers through the development of new products by gathering information and know-how of experts in product development based on customer needs. The bargaining power with customers has been strengthened by building loyalty and trust in the brand by allowing consumers to purchase the same products at the same price no matter which store they visit. As a threat to potential competitors, 7-Eleven has secured a competition advantage by raising the barrier to entry by concentrating stores in specific areas through a dominant franchise development strategy and increasing awareness of 7-Eleven among consumers. In the case of threats from substitute products, it was confirmed that 7-Eleven has overcome the threat from substitute products by opening 24 hours a day and providing various services such as ATMs and copiers.

웰빙용 여성 요실금 치료기의 유럽 마케팅 전략 (Marketing strategy of urinary incontinence equipment in Europe)

  • 본 연구는 국내 벤처기업에서 세계 최초로 제조된 요실금 치료기기의 유럽시장 진출을 위하여 국내외 의료기기 시장의 환경변화에 대하여 서술하고 요실금과 치료방법, 그리고 신제품의 특성 및 유럽 요실금 치료기기 시장을 분석하여 유럽시장 진출 방안을 제시하였다. 그 결론으로 국내 의료기기 벤처기업에서 세계 최초로 개발된 요실금 치료기기를 유럽시장에 판매하기 위해서는 다음과 같은 전략이 필요하다. 첫째, 시장침투수준을 증가시키기 위하여 국내 업체는 유럽에서 개최되는 관련 학회 및 전시회 참가 등을 통하여 유럽의 가정의와 비뇨기과 의사들에게 국내에서 개발된 요실금 치료 장비에 대한 인식을 높이는 전략이 필요하다. 둘째, 개성 있는 독특한 제품임과 치료방법의 제시, 그리고 감염률을 줄일 수 있는 비용-효과적인 제품이라는 점의 강조가 필요하다. 셋째, 요실금 치료기기 시장의 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 상황에서 국내의 요실금 치료기기 제조업체는 품질을 확보하면서 가격을 낮출 수 있는 방법 모색을 통하여 품질과 배송, 그리고 가격의 일관성을 제시하여야 할 것으로 연구되었다.
